The staff was the shining star of our visit. The night reception who checked us in was warm, welcoming, and he went out of his way to make sure we had some coffee. (He checked and the coffee had become stale, so he got me a fresh cup. I didn't ask for any of that. He just intuited that, as we were driving cross-country, that might be nice.) EVERYONE, from the morning reception desk to the two wait staff in the restaurant (evening and morning) was exceptionally helpful. It was hospitality the likes of which you just never see anymore. Truly a phenomenally run hotel. I don't know who is responsible for the training or the 'vibe' of the place, but the team is definitely special.

I was disappointed with how the hotel runs their breakfasts. For price paid the continental was very weak. There were additional charges if you wanted eggs, bacon, sausage...$14.95? Most hotels include this in there continental. Coffee was not kept up at the station, and I being a tea drinker, not coffee, had to ask for tea. The staff member running the breakfast was probably overwhelmed and seemed a bit snippy.

I would not pay for continental breakfast, $9.00...not worth it.

It’s a beautiful quaint property, lovely location. Dinner was fabulous.

It did not have lunch and snacks facility. Turnaround service was only on demand. Coffee etc was not refilled daily in the room unless we asked for it

Breakfast entree was above standard. Lack of fresh fruit was a negative. Nice patio for guest use.

Restaurant food was below standard. Entree was presented at room temperature and when reheated the food was lumpy and sticky. The meal was credited by a very agreeable waitress. Our room 311 was sparsely furnished. The sink area was located with the shower and toilet in a small space although there was ample room to add a separate space for a sink area. Room looked unfinished.

The location to Saint Mary’s is perfect. Also, everything about this faculty is just beautiful and cozy. The staff is also so inviting. I would recommend this place to everyone even if they aren’t here for a college visit. Thank you for a great stay!

Food was excellent. Server was phenomenal. Very convenient to have restaurant in the hotel. The second day of my granddaughter's softball games was canceled and thankfully the hotel refunded our room for night #2! Thank you very much!!

Tap water served with meals had a funny taste. Probably just that I am accustomed to South Bend water. Very nice that the front desk had complimentary bottled water.

Location and room were great.

A $75 additional fee for one night for a well behaved, golden retriever is a very expensive charge. This is one of my favorite hotels, but I will not stay there again when accompanied by my dog - and most of my travels include him - as that fee is too extreme. Traveling back and forth across the country I paid $25 at several hotels for a dog fee, and no fee at other hotels - but the $75 at this hotel is too extreme.

Breakfast was excellent pool exercise room and hot tub were all in working order

no bottles of water at check in. third party booking I don’t get points but I should get credit for stays girl told me no. shower head was terrific but ruined by cheap spout diverter almost no water made it up to shower head.
