The hotel was situated in the center of Bulle. The parking space was very near and everything was accessible by foot. Going to Gruyere and the other touristic places around was very easy. The room was clean and comfortable . The staff were very polite and always willing to help. Breakfast was OK. We also tried the food at the restaurant and it was really good. Highly recommended.

For us, the only negative thing was that the hotel didn't have a lift. The family room was located on the third floor, so going up and down with a baby was slightly inconvenient.

Location is excellent. Only a few minutes' walk from the Bulle train station/bus depot. Easy to find. Check in was smooth. The room was comfortable and warm, with basic facilities for our stay. Good place for a short weekend getaway with nice decor and cozy furniture. The connection to Charmey allowed us to visit the Desalpes parade on Saturday morning and was a nice base from which to do some gift and holiday shopping in Bulle. Nearby to restaurants, the older section of town, and walks/hikes into Gruyeres.

There was a lot of noise and music coming from the street - so it was hard to fall asleep as it didn't stop until well after 11pm on the Friday night. Saturday night was better - just note that voices in the alley carry quite loudly. Maybe have earplugs handy if you're a light sleeper.

quirky and fun little place. staff was super friendly and helpful. dinner at the hotel cafe was super. room was very clean and upgraded and not too small

no aircon, but rooms have a fan. definitely upgrade to get a balcony to get the cool morning air. pack light, there is no elevator

The location was excellent, 3 mins max walk from train station, the staff were very welcoming, polite , spoke very good English, ( sadly my French is awful) breakfast was very good , rooms were clean tidy , rooms have tv , hairdryer, warm and very comfortable

The building is beautiful and the interior is very stylish. The food in the restaurant was delicious (except for the bread). The location is very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bread slices in the restaurant were dried on one side (at dinner and at breakfast). Breakfast was rather simple.

If you are booking a stay in the hotel, you should not miss to have dinner in the nice restaurant, Beside the great atmosphere I was impressed by the young and friendly crew running the place. I would certainly chose le tonnelier again, should I stay another time in Bulle.

No a/c. The windows had to be closed to block out the street noise so it got a little warm in the room.

Glass door bathroom with no blind on the window so the bedroom was too light in the morning.

it has a character, an art deco feel to the fittings, it was comfortable, right in the centre of town. The staff were wonderful. The food was amazing.

in the center of old Bulle.easy to reach everywhere.Room was very small.No lift hard to carry luggage.

Breakfast was served by only one waiter ,it takes too long waiting to give orders
