The room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. We loved the breakfast. The breakfast setting was so elegant with a display of lovely croissants, bread, jams alongside fresh orange juice, coffee and green tea, which they topped up for us. Lydie and Steeves made the most delicious omelette and scrambled eggs. The perfect way to start the day.

This is an exquisite place to stay. It is central to all the quaint medieval villages, fabulous restaurants, markets and the walks (de Compostelle runs through the town) are inspiring. The hostess, Lydie is a delight and the rooms are adorned with hand picked pieces making the interior as elegant as you could find anywhere. Le Chai is a precious gem in the heart of Frances’ beautiful, sun flowered countryside. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The outside of this house gives little idea of how lovely it is inside. Beautifully furnished and decorated, it is absolutely immaculate throughout. Charming hostess, comfortable and quiet room it is a lovely place to stay. The town centre is a short walk away. Breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was excellent. Basically this is the equivalent of a four star hotel experience. A beautiful old building that has been lovingly and tastefully restored with style and modern conveniences. All this at a very moderate price. Don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

Our stay at Le Chai was fantastic! The location was very central in town, and cozy with a beautiful interior & design, and a back yard garden for relaxing. The owners really make you feel at home, the breakfast was amazing - we were very impressed!

Lydie was the perfect host. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Le Chai. The room was lovely, large with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The hotel is situated on the edge of the town centre so perfect to walk to local shops and restaurants. Lydie put on a lovely breakfast each morning which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for Lydie. We highly recommend Le Chai and would love to return one day.

The hotel was quite delightful. Every aspect of it was perfect. It was cool inside when hot outside It was beautiful, peaceful, calming, serene and quite, quite delightful. I would love to stay there again if ever in the area. Breakfast was great and our hostess was superb. Thank you for being one of the best hotels on our recent trip.

The experience was fantastic, the hostess was lovely and I loved the breakfast options in the morning. My only problem I was was with the wifi but I didn’t realise I had to pay extra for it to work?

Perhaps the wifi availability could be better but otherwise my stay was perfect thank you so much!

Our room itself was exquisite, large, and well furnished. The lady manager was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast on the enclosed patio was a nice touch.

Basically the only common area was the halls. All the doors lining the halls were closed which made the overall environment less than cosy, in fact, a bit stifling. It was difficult to determine how to initially enter the house. The location was okay but not great.
