The hotel is quite comfy and centrally located. It has a decent luxury feel is currently aimed at pleasing its customers since it is quite recent. Breakfast restaurant is at the top floors where one can enjoy a great quiet view.

The breakfast cakes and pastries part was really really bad. Small variety offered and nothing seemed fresh. Some of the pastries sweets were really bad (like the churros). It definitely needs Improvement.

We arrived on the wrong date due to an error in our booking, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us without hesitation. The hotel itself was fantastic—beautifully maintained, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The on-site facilities, including the [pool/spa/restaurant], were top-notch and exceeded our expectations. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the incredible team. From the front desk to housekeeping, every staff member was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed at all times. the location is amazing, in the heart of the city. you can walk to the old town and you have all the restaurants, shops, coffee shops and bars that you need as a tourist at your door step. the pool is very nice - something that most hotels in Jerusalem don’t have. bikes to explore the city are for free - nice treat. despite the negatives I would still say it’s probably the best hotel to stay at in Jerusalem.

rude cleaning staff - they seem to be bothered by doing their job. you need to ask them to clean the glasses and mugs and change the bed linen. coffee/tea is not being replaced once it’s used. (stayed there 5 days). floor is not being wiped or carpet vacuumed. overall cleanliness is not up to par with 5 star hotels anywhere else in the world. hotel seems dated. not easy to communicate with all members of the staff in English.

We stayed at this hotel in mid-May. Our stay left a very pleasant impression for us. We stayed in a deluxe room. I express my gratitude to the employee who served us upon arrival, his name was Tamir. Communication with barman Ahmad and manager Hanini left positive emotions. The hotel staff is trying very hard. The room itself was very comfortable, there was everything you needed in the room including an electric kettle and slippers. We also had a great time in the hotel pool. The only thing was that the depth was very small. There was a wide variety of food for breakfast. The old town is about ten minutes at a leisurely pace. In general, I can definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Jerusalem.

However, I would like to note there is no cold meat cuts (a national feature - kashrut does not provide for the consumption of meat and dairy products together).

Herbert Samuel Hotel is ideally situated at the heart of Jerusalem, near the bustling Midrahov and Jaffa Street, as well as the Jerusalem light rail. Its proximity to the Old City and the Western Wall makes it convenient for exploring these historic sites, with all main areas within walking distance. The hotel staff was welcoming, pleasant, and attentive to all our requests. Additionally, the hotel's pool and sauna were very enjoyable amenities.

Unfortunately, due to the hotel's central location, there is no nearby parking available. Additionally, our hotel room faced a department store, and being on a low floor, the window overlooked the shoppers in the store.

Staff was incredible especially Tamar and Maya. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. I’ve stayed at the Ritz Carlton and Peninsula before and when I tell you they went beyond I mean it. With the war I think they were especially concerned with making sure our stay was perfect and they really did that. Showers in room were really great and spacious. Breakfast was very good, the spread on weekends was larger. Dairy meals at night were also very tasty- well prepared fish every evening.

The Hotel is way better that I expected. The hotels feels luxurious even that the price isn't even close to the price of the more popular 5-star hotels in Jerusalem. The location is perfect, and the hotel has a good vibe.

There are small things that could be improved with almost no effort in order to make the place to feel more high standard. I called the room service at 12am to order some beverages and told me that the bar is open just until 11pm.

All around superb service. Very comfortable and well thought out rooms and facilities. Lovely food and drink, especially the wonderful breakfast. Central location and a very nice pool and spa. All around excellent service from start to finish. Our family has been visiting Israel for generations since the early 1970s and we've stayed in a wide variety of hotels, from executive suites in well known 5 star chains to hostels and even kibbutz! So, it says rather a lot when this visit to Herbert Samuel Jerusalem Hotel may well be the best hotel experience we've ever had in Israel! On this occasion I was travelling with my relatively elderly parents so the attention, thoughtfulness and service from all at this lovely hotel was very much appreciated. The staff were all superb, very friendly and attentive. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient. The quality of our rooms, facilities, food and drink, the spa... pretty much everything was excellent. Above all though, it's the great quality, friendly and attentive service from everyone at this superb hotel which made our stay so enjoyable. The hotel's location is very central and ideal for most of Jerusalem's main attractions. Perhaps the only real room for improvement would be if the hotel aquired backgammon and chess sets for guests to enjoy. The next time I stay in Jerusalem, this hotel will be my first choice and am delighted to recommend it.

Amazing breakfast, great location (Between the old city and the market, indoor 12m pool & spa, nice view and comfortable shower.

The breakfast ends at 10 am, the staff is not professional enough for a 5 star hotel. No parking at the hotel. No balcony. Didn’t get a late check out despite the fact that the hotel was far from full the next day. Problems with the phone and the television.

The staff were delightful, both Cammy at the front desk was brilliant and Elad the Concierge who was exceptional, I have never had more help from anyone in any hotel I have ever stayed at - he was brilliant. He also helped us organise tours of the city and elsewhere and was even on hand with help prior to our arrival until we left the hotel, a true asset to the hotel. Look after him as you never want to lose him! Breakfast was good. Room very comfortable and nice beds. Leisure facilities including the swimming pool were fabulous. The location is amazing, in the centre of everything.

The cleanliness of the room and particularly the bathroom were not good and we had to get the cleaner in a few times but even then it was not great, particularly around and in the toilet which was stained.... needed proper cleaning and the same with doors, handles, drawers, skirtings etc.....
