We stayed at Haus Elena for one night and we had a great experience. There is free parking space on site which is great. The owners are a lovely and very frindly couple. We enjoyed our conversation with them. The room was the most clean that we had ever stayed, it was spotless and the breakfast was ok! There was a gift for us, a bottle of water and small chocolates in the room when we arrived. The home has a traditional, very cozy decoration that makes you feel like your home. The house is at a great location just by the river. You can relax at the yeard and peace your mind and soul by hearing the water floating at the river. I wish we had more days there to enjoy this view. It was a great experience and we will return at Haus Elena to our next visit in Austria!

Elena and Gethyn were exceptionally hospitable and kind and spoke English. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. They provided a lovely breakfast with a personal touch. It would have been the perfect location to stay to get up early and hit the Grosglockner but unfortunately we were unable to due to a snowstorm in the mountains that closed the scenic road. Gethyn gave us good advice on how we could take the auto road through the mountain to get to our next destination.

The hosts are absolutely lovely, super kind and helpful, very nice to chat with them. They really wanto to make sure you have the most pleasant stay, in any way possible. The room was great, very very clean, big bathroom and comfy bed. I was sad we only had one night to spend there.

The interiors of the house are not modern, but to me it adds to the charm of the place, and it makes you feel even more at home.

We had a wonderful stay! Gethyn was a pleasure to talk to and his advice regarding hiking and touring was top-notch! My boys loved playing ping-pong by the river in the evening after a day of hiking!

There was nothing not to like. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were big enough for my big family and the showers were hot. We had a wonderful stay!

I don't have the words to thank Elena for her hospitality and help. We arrived needing to change a chain on one of our motorcycles, and Elena allowed us to use her garage and even provided an angle grinder! The house is spotless. The breakfast fresh and filling. The room and the bathrooms are spacious. The showers hot and powerful enough to wake you up. It is a peaceful location with a stream at the back of the property. An excellent night's sleep was had by all. If you are riding the Großglockner, this is an excellent choice.

Elena and Gethyn are very nice people, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our Stay, quiet place, mountains, nature. The room was large enough with balcony. Breakfast was delicious, eggs, bacon, beans, salami, cheese, fruits, vegetables, juice, coffee, tea, perfectly adequate. We left satisfied, we would love to come back again!

The guesthouse is located in a nice and quiet village, next to a river inside an alpine valley. In the village exist only one restaurant, but for us it was no problem. Excellent breakfast, nicely decorated rooms and the owners very nice people. Perfect location for Glossglotern Pass and Carinthian Lakes.

Everything was spot on- a perfect example of what an independent hotel should look and feel like. The host and owner was the nicest chap we came across on our travels and could not have been more accommodating, especially considering our extremely late arrival. We stayed at 8 different Hotels/Airbnb's during our trip, many more expensive than this one, yet Haus Elena stood out beyond all others by far! The location is brilliant, the room was perfect and overall just a great stay. If you are looking for a place to stay near Grossglockner, please look no further as I can guarantee you'll be delighted with your choice to stay at Haus Elena!

Absolutely nothing to complain about whatsoever, we just wish we'd stayed longer!

Room was nice and tidy, bathroom really big. Breakfast excellent, anything you can expect from the european style. Owners are lovely, communicative and very helpfull. While leaving, just opened the hood on my car to check the oil, and the owner came straight to ask if there some problem and if he could help. Little thing but it gives you the feeling of having a friend. We’ll come back again...

Great location for skiing , not far from Molltaler and Heiligenblut. Elena and Gethyn are very nice, flexible and helpful. Nesspresso availability in the room is great when you need to leave before breakfast. It is possible to buy some drinks or meal directly at the accommodation.
