Amazing location! The property is a refurbished old medieval castle. An impressive structure. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome. We loved every minute of our stay and even cancelled some of our plans just to spend a bit more time reading on the terrace in the sunshine and enjoying the view and quietness. It’s breathtaking! There’s a gastronomic style restaurant in the castle and the food is absolutely delicious. Try the pulled lamb - it was the best lamb we’ve ever had!!!

Loved it all. The only thing I would say is be aware that there are a few stairs. We came with two big and very heavy suitcases. The staff was very helpful and helped us carry them up and down, but retrospectively we probably would have sorted it so we’d just carry up what we needed for that specific stay.

Location, unique characteristics, staff. It’s a castle. Lives up to the castle aesthetic and overall feel. The views from the communal areas. The communal areas to lounge in. The restaurant ambience + the desserts. Lived up to expectations

Even though the room decor reflected the castle aesthetic, personally, I think the decor could be classier while and still reflecting the “castle vibe”. Nothing wrong with it, just an opinion. Also the fish dish we ordered, we felt was a little undercooked for our palette - especially when the menu said roasted.

This location is superb, beautiful views and a wonderful rooftop terrace that is comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant was excellent with an interesting and delicious menu and the service from all staff throughout our stay was faultless. We had a wonderful time here and would highly recommend it.

We really couldn't think of anything that could be better.

The chateau is located in an extraordinary setting, high above the River valley and village below. The views from the upper terrace are unbelievable. I went up in the night, and could see an expanse of stars. Easy to imagine manning the watch tower several hundred years ago. Room 5 was so cool. With a curved rock wall from the medieval fortress and period-appropriate furnishings, another time-traveling experience. An amazing place.

Not much. The chateau is a fair bit off the beaten path, and rather rustic, although we didn’t mind stepping off the tourist track. Meals in the restaurant are expensive, but the staff is sweet and the chef is working hard to earn a Michelin star.

Very special stay at an exceptional place. Real castle, beautiful room, and breathtaking views. Very personal service.

Take into consideration that you need to carry your luggage from the parking lot to the room, and there are stairs on the way. Breakfast with no choices, it is fixed by the chef. Check before having it, what they serve. Overall, the + is much bigger than the -, and we had a great stay and warmly recommend this property.

This is a gem of a place, if a bit off the beaten track. Just go - it is well worth it. And go before it is "found out" or "discovered"! When you first see the hotel from a distance, it is perched on a steep cliff. Once in it, the views do not disapppoint either! The running has been recently taken over by two (if I remember correctly) local people and they are doing a great job. The rooms are tastefully in keeping with the castle, yet also delightfully quirky. We had an excellent meal for dinner with beautifully presented, delicious food.

Could you put insect screens on the bedroom windows as well as the bathroom ones? They are a great idea. The stone steps to get around are a little uneven in places and an extra rope or handrail might be useful.

The location is secluded, about an hr drive from the Gorges du Verdon where we'd visited for the day, and stayed of Trigance enroute back to Nice. I loved the fact that it was a Castle, it was unlike any other accommodation experience we'd had in France, just so majestic. It also felt more like a 4 star and not 3 star as rated because of the great service, cleanliness, room size and comfort, restaurant option, and just general feeling of the place. The rooftop terrace was also just amazing.

The breakfast was very basic but i guess the typical french breakfast (bread and pastries) while i was craving some eggs and bacon. The dinner restaurant was also unexpectedly pricey but the food was good.

The old castle is enchanting! The view is so beautiful! Breakfast can be served in your own terrace. Kids loved the club room with darts and pool table.

The location was a bit far from other restaurants and the only restaurant in the castle was too sophisticated for little kids. It would have been fabulous if they also had a more conventional style restaurant.

A very special and unique hotel and made by the excellent people. It’s not often you get to stay in a castle and it’s amazing restaurant (food and setting), roof terrace and setting - Trigance is very sweet. Thank you!

The restaurant was amazing and dinner was fab. We stayed a few nights and a more informal/ light dinner option would have been good.

Our room was like a medieval castle room and very special with a most fantastic view of the surrounding valley and hills. The dinner was absolutely fantastic and unexpected. Dining of such high level and in a castle environment was truly very special. the breakfast was delicious and generous. the staff was gracious and very helpful. best value for money on this trip by far.

absolutely nothing!
