The view from the balcony was such a bonus. You can see the mountain. I loved my room (room 5 at the top floor) with all the windows. And the staff was amazing. They cleaned the room every day. Put little flowers in the room, gave me fruit when I arrived. I got hot water for tea or coffee. The location is great. Very near restaurants and shops but in a more quiet alley. Very good atmosphere and very clean. There is a little shop downstairs where you can buy drinks and snacks etc.

The room was always clean and the location was perfect because is located very close to restaurants, bars, main streets and also close to the monkey forest. Although is was located in the center of Ubud, this hotel is extremely quiet. We didn’t hear any noise from the street, which was great as it allowed us to have a quiet and pleasant sleep. Putu and her family were always trying to make us feel comfortable, they helped us to rent a motorbike, book ferries and they even took us to the harbour in their own car. Very polite and kind family. Putu made the breakfast for us every day and it was delicious!! Thank you very much for that. They have 6 different options of breakfast that you can choose and also, as soon as you wake up, you already have coffee, tea and hot water to start enjoying the morning in the cute private terrace where you are then going to be served with delicious food and fruits.

Everything about this place was perfect for our stay, we loved it here. Putu and her family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. The flowers placed around the rooms were a lovely touch. Great central location yet very peaceful. The rooms are a good size, very clean and housekeeping everyday. We were served quality coffee and a beautiful breakfast kindly tailored to our dietary needs each morning, delivered on the terrace outside our room at a time of our choosing. They also have a shop where you can purchase water and snacks etc which was super convenient. It was an absolute pleasure staying here, hope to return in the future and highly recommend.

I stayed at Umah Anila for a 7 nights and it was a wonderful experience! The family that runs the guest house could not be more lovely and kind - they make the place feel like the home and are were a highlight. The guest house is perfectly located in the center of ubud - close walking distance to the money forest, yoga barn and some great cafes and restaurant. I loved sitting on the terrace when it was cool at night. Umah Anila is a little gem and great value for money, in my opinion!

This isn’t a detraction, rather just know that this is not a “luxury” guest house, but what it doesn’t have in luxury accommodations it makes up for in soul and warmth. Would definitely recommend!

There is nothing not to like. The host and family are so friendly and helpful. We felt well looked after. Breakfast was amazing on our terrace every morning, and a good selection was available, too. Enjoy the view all the way to Mount Batur from the terrace. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the bed is super comfortable. Very close to shops and busy streets but also very quiet at the same time. Just amazing and we would have loved to stay much longer. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

We had an amazing stay at Umah Anila. The owners were truly wonderful and even prepared a little birthday cake with candles for my friend. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great terrasse offering a fantastic views over Ubud. Also really enjoyed the daily breakfast (amazing banana pancakes with fruits). Would definitely recommend staying there. Thanks again for everything!

Overall we were super happy and really enjoyed our stay. However, unfortunately the handle of the bathroom door was broken and we couldn't close it properly. We also would have wished for a locker in the room, especially because the sliding doors of the room didn't close the room entirely (there was still a gap between door and window).

Umah Anila is a typical Balinese homestay right in the center of Ubud. It is super conveniently located, close to the main street and the attractions, but still in a very quiet street. The room we had was simple and not huge, but definitely big enough and very clean, with towels and bedsheets being changed regularly. It was also facing a balcony which provided great views for our breakfasts. Everyone at Umah Anila was incredibly welcoming and nice, especially the lady that runs the place. She remembered our names, always asked if she could help and was super patient with our requests for breakfast times. She also made amazing breakfasts (you should really try the banana pancakes!) with home made dishes (there's a menu to choose from) and fresh fruit. We definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud!

Putu is an amazing host. She picked me up at the airport with her husband, even though I arrived really late. She makes you feel at home and cared for. The whole house is new, mattress is comfortable and the room is clean. They clean it often and change sheets and towels, really nice! I’ve seen other places around and honestly it’s not easy to find something similar for this price. They also serve breakfast every day on your balcony. I was supposed to stay 3 nights and ended up staying longer. Location is perfect. Super close to main road Jl Hanoman, but in a small street so it’s very silent. Also, few minutes away from Yoga Barn, all shops and supermarket. By the way they have their own little shop in case you need something. I’d definitely recommend Umah Anila for solo or couples traveling.

Staff very helpful and kind. They helped set up taxi transfers and helped us get ferry tickets. Breakfast very good. Clean, comfortable and big bed. AC worked well to cool the room. Establishment is family run which creates a lovely home-y environment. Walking distance to many sites including the monkey forest, restaurants, shops, and spas. Nice balcony to have breakfast on.

No designated shower area in bathroom so most of bathroom got wet during showers. Bathroom was dry by morning though

Small very nice family hotel in the middle of Ubud. Quiet location, close to supermarket, shopping streets, restaurants, etc. Small supermarket right in the hotel. I felt very comfortable during the 4 weeks of my stay. The family looked after me warmly and I didn't lack for anything. Delicious breakfast. Simple furnishings, rooms big enough, very nice view, everything very clean. Organized even trips for me and also transfer from/to airport. I would love to come back.
