Its like a sanctuary in the jungle. I picked this place because I heard great things about surf lessons with Sup. I ended up staying and taking a week of lessons (started as a beginner) and Sup was a great teacher and super chill which I loved. Everyone was so friendly, room was clean and always cool (with a fan) and I loved the jungle style shower. I used the kitchen a lot too, and there's free drinking water (which is such a bonus). It's close to the river and if you walk into medewi (it's like 20mins) all the kids are so friendly and will high 5 you. It's perfect if you're looking for a little oasis thats quiet and chill

You probably need a scooter but I didn't mind walking everywhere.

I enjoyed my stay. From the location and my room in general. It's truly a surfers hideaway, it's for cowboys and cowgirls not for rich kids, simple and quiet evenings. In the mornings you have a choice of alarms the rooster or the sound of prayer, either way it's the surfers wake up call. I cooked most of my breakfast there and enjoyed the company of the guests. I met a lot of good people staying there. I wish I had more time. But I definitely know where I'm staying again. Ohh and there is a cool river close by and you can take a dip. Sup the host was awesome and helpful in any way he could, from surfing to activities and recommendations for good eats. Please do stay here if you can.

The property is located off of a quiet road, and is very spacious. I stayed in the dorms and there was tons of room and although there was no A/C it was pretty chilly, and we had to turn off the provided fans. It was very comfortable overall – you often find people who chose to stay there long term because of the bang for your buck.

There was nothing major that I didn't like. Seems like the staff is aware of the things they need to repair. They were working on repairing the driveway, and were very quick to ask if there was anything we didnt like.

I liked the property’s location, it is far from main road/highway so no noise from trucks, cars etc. You can hear the sound of birds in the morning and crickets at night so the place has very calm vibe. It is close to the river so the surroundings is lush. The staff were very nice, they were great in housekeeping and maintaining the place clean. Agus was very hospitable, one of the nicest people I’ve met in the area, a true Superhost and a good friend.

Initially intended to stay for 2 days I ended up staying here for 3 weeks. This place is in the heart of a traditional Balinese village, something what Canggu or rest of Bali must have been decades ago. The property is a tropical dream, made of bamboo, wood, glass which gives a real raw feeling but the beds and bathroom and the atmosphere are very comfortable. Make sure you can ride a scooter because it's about 2kms from the surf spot, but trust me it's a good thing. There aren't many hostels like this left anywhere in Bali. Sup, the owner/manager is a really cool guy who instantly makes you feel welcomed. All fellow surfers I met here were humble, grounded, authentic adventurers. Book it and enjoy your stay!

Property is clean and comfortable. I stayed a few nights in a private room and a few in the dorms. Both are well worth their value. The property has a great location, next to a river which you can swim in. Quiet. 6 minute scooter ride to the beach. You can rent a scooter through the hostel which is nearly essential. Fair price. Met some really good people here and it was nearly full every night. Sup, the owner and manager, is very helpful and kind. I will be back to the Jungle House.

More comfortable lounging options (chairs, couches) would be nice.

Really nice place surrounded by nature. The room is spacious and the people are super friendly. In the kitchen we found everything we needed and even though the rooms are basic, the details make it nice.

The mattress in our room was a bit old and not that comfortable. But all the other rooms hat better ones. You hear the noice of the mosque. But that’s the same everywhere in Medewi and not the owners fault.

The place is great money for value. It is tucked away in the jungle on the other side of the highway, so a bit out of the way from the beach. It's great if you're looking to get away from the early morning prayers of the mosques in town, a quiet oasis.

something that's kind of inevitable is the lizards pooping on the floor from the ceiling. It also has no AC so something to be mindful of before you make a booking if that's something that's a must have!

It’s a magical accomodation in the peace and quiet of the jungle, but still nearby the main road, surf spots and beaches. The neighbourhood is fantastic: rice fields, local houses, palm trees and the river. Sup and his family we’re perfect hosts, always helpful and smiling. Sup also provides surf classes that I highly recommend. Best value for money

Super chilled vibe the , dorms feel really comfortable lots of space to swing a cat 🐱. Plenty of room in the kitchen to cook & store food . Bathing in the river in the morning was amazing . surrounded by local people going about their business . Local beautiful children smiling and shouting hello . Cows chickens nature everywhere . Lots of local walks up to the rice fields...🌴🐔🐱🤜🏾🤛🏽☝🏽🙏🏾
