Everything ! The staff was really friendly and polite, the breakfast was of very high quality with a lot of options including for special diets such as gluten free or vegetarian. We booked a massage at the spa which was also fantastic. I rarely experienced such a good massage/ spa treatment service. we also enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant which was delicious with a unique selection of regional wines. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the location is in the center of the village with a number of wineries accessible by foot. It is the perfect location for a cozy gateway weekend. We will be back.

We we stayed at the hotel it was on a weekend and the spa was quite crowded. It might be worth setting up a limit of people who could go in and pre-booking times like during covid times to avoid the crowd.

Wonderful building in a neat village, beautiful room although that was the first room I approached without a shower :-) but you have a wonderful cosy bath tub instead !! The restaurant was amazing, had the best salmon of my life !!

Price per night was during our travel time (bank holiday) a bit overdone, the night after cost only half the price.... Massage was ok.

just as a tip for other travellers: - many parking spaces were removed in front of the hotel/city hall, get ready to walk a bit when the two small ones nearby are full - it’s particularly hard to find a restaurant with space left on Sundays and Mondays, it can be helpful to book ahead of your trip if you don’t want to take the car to get out of Barr again.

Fantastic place in the heart of the Alsacian wine region. Friendly and efficient staff, cosy bedrooms and comfortable beds. The spa is beautiful.

Make sure to book your dinner some days ahead if you stay there for the weekend. The place is popular and very quickly fully booked.

Room overlooking the interior courtyard was dark and felt a bit poky in comparison to our friends who had an external view. Not much space for luggage and very small wardrobe.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and small but wonderful Spa. Room was quite small but well equipped. Excellent location in the middle of Barr. Nice restaurants next to the hotel. The breakfast is very good, large selection of local produce. The overall look and interior of the hotel is just beautiful.

Price is quite high for this type of room (standard room at € 260 per night incl breakfast) in the Alsace. Bathroom had a showerhead above the bathtub, but no curtain or glass to prevent the bathroom from getting completely wet when you take a shower. Spa was limited to 1 hour, and it was only possible to use it once during our 3-day stay instead of the 1x per day as stated.

Beautiful place, very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was closed but the bar served good local bites and wines. Very large and super clean room. Safe parking at 400m distance at 25€ per night. Tasty breakfast. We did not have time to use the spa.

Great Hotel with an amazing combination from tradtionial old and modern new design

We should have been informed before, that the Spa has only slots opened you need to book in advance. We have choosen the hotel for tha Spa. Therefore we only had the chance to be there for one hour in the morning. No possibility for late check out or longer use of the Spa, even if the Hotel was almost empty.

Nicely decorated with style and taste, everything smells fresh and is clean. Rooms are just perfect in every sense. Staff was very friendly professional and helpful. Excellent location that has a relatively calm and serene feel. Exactly what people that understand the French way of extra ordinary might be looking for.
