A beautiful landscape, gardens, secular trees ,very well maintained

I have stayed in many castles in Scotland, Ireland, France, but I have never met something like this: a castle with a beautiful history uninspired restored: an uninspired melange of French and Thai design; what a shame! Old furniture with dirty tapestry. broken...next to an elephant made of Thai porcelain... bathrooms with tasteless tiles, which have nothing to do with a castle... in short: it is a maximum 3* B&B (it has nothing to do with a 5* accommodation with a score of 9.9 out of 900 reviews ??)

The chateau is very grand and has a spectacular interior and an interesting history. It is set in large grounds with nice woods to walk in and chickens, rabbits and deer. There was lots to do for the kids - swimming pool (with a cover which was great because it rained while we were there), tennis court, playground, pool table, table tennis and foosball.

There was some confusion with our bill at the end as we had agreed a discount in advance which was not included in the final bill - it was all resolved in the end though so not a big deal. The breakfast was good but a little awkward as they serve each element separately - again, not a big deal but I would suggest they serve it more buffet style and just prepare the eggs to order.

Absolutely stunning historically beautiful chateau which has been restored so well but also made homely and welcoming. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, but they also left you alone if you wanted. Our dog was also made very welcome too which felt odd in such a grand setting but it really was so lovely all round. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you love history and nature, the walk around the grounds was also stunning and there is a swimming pool, pool table and other games to keep you entertained. Breakfast was great too and a kitchen with drinks available and an honesty book for anything you have, plus use of the kitchen fridge and facilities. Thank you to Phillipine and her family and workers for such a fab time.

Absolutely nothing!

Philip and his family are delightful. They go out of their way to make every guest welcome and special. They stay in a separate house on the grounds, so guests have full use of the facilities. The grounds are spectacular and the castle is rich in history. There are plenty of activities for leisurely days in, including a heated enclosed swimming pool, a tennis court, table tennis, pool table and fussball. The grounds are great for running or cycling. Shops are only a short drive away and several tourist locations, including Paris, are close by. We'll be back!

Nothing. It was great. We had our own car, so cannot comment on the arrangements for people who do not have their own transport.

I travel a lot, but for the first time I saw such a sociable atmosphere in a beautiful country chateau with a great youth life and a light haze of the old days. A beautiful summer terrace, made in the style of the beginning of the last century, with a cozy pool for children and an excellent tennis court. Every morning I could walk with my dog through the dense forest, which is a great rarity for France. My Russian greyhound could hunt for roe deer and feel the real smell of nature. The space and wealth of all the guests of the cities from Great Britain, Poland and Slovenia showed how friendly we all are, people, and ready for peace on the planet in the name of joint creation. This is the goal of my communication platform Repostage, which I have been doing for 6 years.

What a place. We were looking for somewhere for a one night stop over on the way back to the UK, something a little different from a typical hotel and a bit more fun. Chateau du Boulay Morin was perfect. Our kids (9 and 6) absolutely loved it, not only did they get to stay in a real Chateau but the games room, the pool, the tennis court, climbing frame, boules court, chickens and rabbits made it really special. The staff were lovely and breakfast was the perfect way to finish our all too brief stay. It's a slice of history and a real gem.

Leaving after one night. We didn't get to explore the grounds enough.

A fabulous place to stay with a fascinating history - a part of the Versailles story so such a privilege to be able to stay there. Great to have a kitchen to be able to prepare your own food in the evening (or they can organise food deliveries). Our room was comfortable and cosy and we also had use of the rest of the living space including sitting areas and we enjoyed playing billiards, it felt genuinely more like living in a chateau than being in a hotel. Easy to get there and we’d love to stay longer some time.

Stunning chateaux with great history . Room was actually a suite . The fact that they had a warm heated pool along with tennis , table tennis , pool and table football we were in our element . Authentic great breakfast and great hosts . The bed was the most comfortable On a point of note while no dinner cooked at chateau they have a great kink with local restaurants and one just orders it in and it’s delivered , then you can sit in the fabulous dinning room along with a good glass of wine or beer and soak in the ambience

Absolutely nothing

I booked because of its location close to Monet’s house and garden at Giverny (40 min drive). It is a gorgeous old house built by Louis XIV (the Sun King) in the mid 1600s for his mistress Mme Maintenon. The rooms are light and airy containing original antiques, tapestries, and pictures. There is a games room, 2 lounges, dining area, and kitchen plus a heated swimming pool (30c) available for guests so don’t forget your swimming costumes! It is a stunning house in beautiful grounds. Breakfast is available at an additional cost and the owners will order you food from local outlets on request. The owner is very charming and informative about the house and grounds and having been there since the 1980s is not short of a few stories. His son met us upon arrival and ensured we were well catered for.

Nothing, it was perfect.

Beautiful grounds, amazing staff, we loved the pool and all the amenities. The flexibility of having a shared kitchen and dining room made preparing food for kids easier.

The shower in the bath didn't have a curtain or door, which meant the floor got quite wet. We also had wasps/hornets fly into the room (though this was our fault for leaving the windows open at night).
