Clean, room was easy to access. Bed was comfortable.

The lobby/ check-in/ and eating areas were smaller than other Drury Inns I've been to. There was one employee working at the front desk, long line. The front desk also doubled as the shop/ purchase booth. It took a while to get checked in. Glad I wasn't with my wife and kids. The room was okay, but it the a/c was pretty loud, and the toilet ran/ made a loud noise while it was flushing. There was also a slight hint of cigarette smoke, even though the rooms are all non-smoking. Obviously at some point the room has been smoked in. The hotel was also pretty hard to get to from I-65 (I was coming down from Nashville, following Google maps).

The dinner was an extra meal they offered along with breakfast. It was great, the BBQ sliders are delicious! I was very surprised by how smoky and moist they were. The Mac and cheese reminded me of Panera Bread and was also delicious. Everyone was so kind and helpful. It was very clean. The pool and hot tub were half indoors which was great with it being cold out. You could swim in the warm room. The water will be the outside temperature due to half the pool being outside.

The breakfast was not as great as the dinner and snacks. It wasn't awful, just a regular hotel breakfast. Eat downstairs so the food doesn't get cold. It will make the food worse if eating it cold. The location is bumper to bumper traffic, make sure you leave earlier than planned to get anywhere scheduled. It took 35 minutes to get to UAB/ children's hospital. The time frame does change. Best to check with Google maps an hour or so before you leave to know how backed up traffic is. The plumbing might wake you at night. It did us around 3am, kinda scary the way it sounded. The hot tub really needed a good cleaning.

ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful from sending a fax for me and recovering a book my husband left. The layout of the dining area was cozy and comfortable with several small areas so you never felt like you were in a big cafeteria. Breakfast was good and in the evenings they have what they call Kickstart. It was a meal with complimentary drinks. We had Pulled pork sliders, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, salad, nachos, gumbo soup, and hotdogs available. The hot tub was lovely, nice and hot. The room was very comfortable, the location was close to many restaurants and The Summit. I highly recommend this place.

The "only" thing I could even think of would be the internet does not have a password so it would not be secure but not a problem for me.

This was absolutely one of the best days we’ve ever had at a hotel! From cleanliness to staff friendliness and accommodations (including wonderful, complimentary food), everything was excellent! It was a perfect location for us as well. We were in town for a doctors appointment and when we woke up the next morning, I had lost our car keys. The staff assisted with locking our luggage in a room until after our doctors appointment, then proceeded to assist us with obtaining a locksmith to open our car where we found the keys. We could not have asked for a more kind group of people to keep us from getting stressed out while far from home!

The staff, from the reception desk to the room cleaners, were the friendliest, nicest people I’ve ever come across in a hotel. Hotel was beautifully laid out and gave a nice view of the lobby from the elevator when un motion. Loved the big, round shower head. Perfect. Two elevators served different parts of the upper floors and that was nice. Cut down on the long walk to the end of the wing rooms. Nice touch. Have always appreciated the freebie light dinner setting. Saved me having to go hunt down a restaurant.

The breakfast was flawed. The No-name peanut butter provided was a cheap and poor quality provision. Stick with Jif. Can’t go wrong. Did have nice bananas. The potatoes were cold and near inedible. Nice selection of cereals. The English Muffins and poor bagels were bargain basement rejects. For the cost of a room in the Drury Inn the somewhat cheap provision in the breakfast buffet are a bad treatment.

Everything was good-- good clean room, nothing especially worn, great value and no issues. Nothing particularly noteworthy, which is a good thing. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was basic but good. I did hear that a refresh/renovation is coming. The only bad sign, so to speak, is the signs were only partially illuminated which gave a slight unsettling impression of maintenance, but all was good.

We stay here every time we're in the area. Always friendly and helpful staff. Love the hot kickback dinner with drinks and hot breakfast. Suite is super nice and spacious but two queen room feels a bit tight/small. We had friends and family join us at the hotel for graduation. It's family friendly and welcoming. Lobby has popcorn in afternoon and lots of spaces to work, eat or visit. We saw several people celebrating birthdays in the lobby. They also accommodate dogs and have pet area outside. Pool is combo indoor and outdoor. This is clean safe and quiet location 15 minutes from everywhere in BHM with plenty of parking and restaurant across parking lot.

Elevator can be slow and busy. Some beds are getting indentations and need to be replaced.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was awesome!! everyone staff we had interactions were friendly & welcoming. The room was comfortable & spacious. Great, central location. Would definitely recommend to others, especially if traveling with family & kids! Absolutely loved the complimentary snack & adult drinks.

On the 1st night, the shower ran cold but not so bad since it was summer. The dining area could be bigger. We were there on a very busy (practically fully booked) weekend so dining was very limited & tab bit uncomfortable.

The property was immaculate. My mom is pretty fragile and delicate because she has rheumatoid arthritis and lupus so we are extra careful about cleanliness and sanitation. I asked the staff for wipes and they gave me some of the hotels cleaning/sanitation liquid. When we cleaned the room we discovered zero dust or dirt. We were extremely surprised and satisfied with the cleanliness of our room and the rest of the property. The card with the house keeper name said Ellie.

The only thing I can say we didn’t like was the ants in the spa/Pool area. I know things like that happen and are difficult to get a grip on. It did not take away from our wonderful stay.
