Very nice new hostel. Comfortable beds. Easy check-in with good communication. Small kitchen with fridge and hot plate and enough pots/cutlery to cook and eat basic meals. Good shower

You need a key to open the WC Parking was full of cars who did not appear to be guests but we did find street parking nearby. Very loud "guest" playing music and coming and going late at night. I can't blame hostels for what guests do but in this case it seemed he was an employee or somehow associated with the hostel so he shouldn't be waking people up!

Location with value for money, given the cleanliness and attention to detail that make it a very comfortable accommodation for travelers (neat, clean, well-organized community kitchen, drying rack, bedside tables for both beds, folding space-saving table in room, community patio area, communication on arrival day.

Was not clear nor comfortable with the multiple twists for personal information legally needed/required by the accommodation. Was staying at other places in Portugal, and was never sent a form to fill out in advance or by email.

Modern building, rooms,and bath. Nice hot water and pressure, good beds, nice common kitchen. Good location right next to supermarket. Receptive staff. Never received the email with access instructions, so I recommend that being sent earlier, and in duplicate alternate means (like booking.com messaging). Fortunately housekeeper was there to make a call for me and the staff was very receptive and helpful in getting us settled.

Affordable rooms, perfect for a walker on the Rota Vicentina. Room was small but had all that is needed. No staff present but communication ahead of the stay was alright. Small communal kitchen was available. Shops and city center just around the corner.

Room was cold and very damp, even with the heater/ac running.

Our room and bathroom were large, comfortable and clean. The facility is in the town square and has recently been renovated and makes for a pleasant stay. The wifi was strong, ample hot water, the heater in the room was effective, beds were comfortable and room was quiet, self check-in was easy and host was responsive. There is a common kitchen with fridge, induction stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and dishes and pots/pans. The host provided coffee, tea and basic spices and oils for cooking. There are also bins for each room that allow guests to identify their items in the fridge. The minimarcado right below the building has a decent selection of food and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.

It’s a lovely property really in the center of Cercal. Supermarket, cafés and the busstop really close by. The kitchen has everything you need and it’s all very clean (I saw somebody cleaning everyday I was there). I got a free upgrade to a room with an ensuite bathroom. Really nice. The contact with Afonso was really good. He reacted really promptly when I texted or called him him with a question.

The only thing I didn’t like so much was that all the contact was through the phone, because it’s low season, there was nobody at the reception while I was there. But checking in and out works really wel, so not a really big thing.

Firstly, Afonso is a fantastic host. Super welcoming and friendly. He's happy to help with any questions and makes you feel welcomed in this small town. Secondly, the building is beautiful. The rooms are very spacious, modern and immaculately clean. The place has a small but cute outdoor area where you can go and relax easily when you want. Upstairs there's a small relaxation area with some books and sofas. The kitchen is clean and tidy - with everything you want whilst on the stay. The supermarket is just around the corner so it's easy to grab some food and cook what you like. The location is literally one minute away from the town/village centre. It's easy to get to and back day and night. What I particularly like about Solar do Alentejo is that this was Afonso's Grandfather's old restaurant, which he has renovated into the place it is today. It gives a very special touch. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Cercal, I couldn't recommend enough, and hopefully one day, I shall be back. My favourite part: the beautiful staircase!

One thing: please install a hairdryer in the room!

Clean, had pretty much everything you needed, comfortable.

The toilet was a little far from the bedroom and we had to use our key to go in and out, which between two people and at night was a little inconvenient and noisy There was no one around (staff) but they were responsive on text and everything was explained in the welcome messages.

Superb values for money. We were expecting basic accommodation for the cost but everything was excellent - spotlessly clean, everything worked as it should and a well equipped communal kitchen area with more than adequate facilities. Off street parking was an unexpected bonus.

Nothing - couldn’t fault it.

100m from the centre, with restaurants, places to have breakfast, busstation to Lisbon. Very quiet at night. Good heating (beginning January it can be could in the evenings, and many locations don't have proper heating)
