The harbour view from our room was the favourite of all the places we stayed at in NZ- it was relaxing, peaceful and also rejuvenating. You could see the sunrise, sunset, the boats, the birds, the hills in the distance- and there was a lovely private deck to enjoy it all with some chairs. We even had breakfast out there! Low water pressure in bathroom/shower/toilet- however we learned afterwards from the owner that this is common across the whole area- we still managed to use the facilities but were a bit worried about possibly blocking up the toilet! Kitchenette/Kitchen- there is no mixer tap as the hot/cold taps are separate- however everything else functional (no range hood fan from memory). Outdoor space (deck) was a bit dusty but we still happily used this!

The view from the room is stunning, and that is the main reason I'd recommend this place to stay. The room facilities, kitchenware and beds are fine. We did not figure it out in the beginning, so here's a tip: in our room there was a set of blankets for sitting on the deck if the weather is cold that was kept in the chest standing close to the sofa.

The parking lots are supposed to be close to the entrances of the units, in a narrow driveway with a dead end, be careful. Close your bathroom window in the evening, we did not do it, and found a large pack of insects on the floor and on the walls in the morning.

A well appointed unit with fantastic views to the harbour. We made good use of the deck as we watched the sun go down. Good size kitchen with full size fridge. Comfy sofa and beds and unit nicely decorated. Queen bed in the unit looks straight over the water. A beautiful way to wake up!

Parking was bit tight in my large SUV but managed to reverse into the spot easily with some guidance. Thought the dining table was a little small for 4 adults but we made it work.

My recent stay at the Harbour View Motel was an unexpected delight. Arriving after a long journey, we were prepared to settle for anything, but our host had a pleasant surprise in store for us. Upon check-in, the host initially showed us to the room I had originally booked. It was a nice room, but what truly made our stay special was when he offered to upgrade us to a room with a breathtaking view of the harbor, all at no extra charge. This unexpected gesture immediately set a positive tone for our stay. The upgraded room was nothing short of fabulous. It was notably larger than our original booking, providing us with more space to relax and unwind. But the real showstopper was the view. From our window, we were treated to a magnificent vista of the harbor, which was truly a sight to behold. Watching the changing colors of the sunset was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast at the Harbour View Motel was sufficient and reasonably priced, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. It was a great way to start our day and fuel up for our adventures in the area. Our host at the motel had a wonderful sense of humor, making us feel welcome and at ease throughout our stay. His friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our experience and made us feel like valued guests. In terms of cleanliness, the room was spotless, and we felt comfortable and safe during our entire stay. This attention to cleanliness was especially reassuring given the ongoing concerns about health and hygiene. Overall, our stay at the Harbour View Motel exceeded our expectations. The unexpected upgrade to a room with a stunning harbor view, along with the warm hospitality of our host, made our visit memorable. If you're looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay with a picturesque view, this motel is a great choice. We would happily return in the future.

Nice little motel a very short drive from the town centre. You get a nice view of the water which was lovely to wake up to. Parking right outside your room. Room was warm, has sky and wifi. Shower and bathroom/toilet was clean and tidy. The shower is bigger than ours at home haha so that was a bonus. Absolutely enjoyed the guest information book. Had some funny bits in there which gave me a chuckle.

Low water pressure in the shower. However I understand the need to conserve water using this but would have been nice to have the high pressure on my tense shoulders after driving!

We stayed 5 days here, we were looking forward to a chill out time and we were not disappointed. Accommodation is a little dated, but clean and plenty of cooking facilities. We were in the garden view room by the Frangipani tree. Guest laundry is $6 a load and a really good sized washing machine. Plenty of things to do and the owners are on hand to help with all their kiwi knowledge. They were so helpful and anything we needed we were encouraged to pop into reception and ask. No bother. Loved our restful stay. Thanks

The view is amazing

Very old and needs significant repairs and maintenance. It felt unclean even though the staff had cleaned. The toilet water gurgled all day and night even when staff were told, no effort was made to address the issue. The lounge smelled so bad I could not sit in it at all. Two of the four running chairs were so rickety, I was worried we would fall through them.

Sitting outdoors was perfect - sheltered, quiet and outstanding views. Super friendly and helpful staff. Place was very clean. We didn't use the kitchen to cook but looked a pretty good set up. A well maintained older style motel (sliding door to toilet within bathroom) Good water pressure in shower.

Often a personal preference - but the single mattress might be time for upgrade as could feel the springs.

Excellent room and facilities in general. Great location with lovely views over Corromandel Harbour. Close to town, can be walked if necessary. Warm room with balcony was very comfortable.

Bathroom: low shower power and poor toilet flush. Roll holder fell off the wall. Bit stingy with towels. Cetee very uncomfortable.

Lovely friendly owners, who were happy to provide local information and knowlwdge.. Breakfast was great value and quality. Beautiful views, quiet location. Very spacious room, would be good for families.
