Due to flight delays I arrived at 3am and was nervous about navigating my way there, but it was a very short walk from the airport and I felt totally safe! All the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great.

I traveled with my mom and sister and we needed a place near the airport for an early flight the next morning. It's walking distance from GUA! We also walked to the zoo and Mercado de Artesanías. The beds are very comfortable and the room was spacious. The whole place was very clean too. They also let us store our luggage before checking in and after checking out. We bought traditional dinner at the hotel and it was delicious too

The city with all it's buildings and business is on the opposite side of the airport. If you're looking for Night life, chain restaurants, and bigger stores you'd need to Uber from here.

Hostal is a maybe two blocks from Guatemala airport. Perfect for an overnight stay if your flight arrives in late. Take a quick cheap Uber to the location. Solo female traveler friendly. You have to ring the doorbell to be let in. If you’re a light sleeper, the walls are extremely thin here. Ask the front desk for a fan like I did and it helped a lot. Also, take an eye mask as it has a ceiling sky light. Breakfast is a traditional Guate one but does the trick.

As mentioned by others, the hotel is literally 5 minutes walk away. If you are a backpacker without 10 suitcases, there is really no need to get a cab (they also overcharge like crazy for such a short distance). The hotel is guarded, kept clean and overall nice looking. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, the complementary breakfast was tasty and filling.

The only 2 downsides for me were: - the room that I got had no real window, neither it had an AC so there was no airflow inside, the air got hot and stuffy easily. - hotel’s location is great for an easy access to the airport but if you stay a bit longer, be informed that there are no restaurants in the area (. maybe only the Subway at the airport?). However, you can buy some snacks from the hotel reception.

We love staying here after and before our flights in Guatemala City because it is very close to the airport and safe with a gated entry. The staff are so kind, the premises, rooms, guest living area, outdoor dining area, garden, and rooftop veranda are so nice and peaceful. Very nice garden with many flowers! Breakfast and coffee are included in your stay, and they have filtered water available to fill your water bottles. Our outbound flight got delayed and they were able to accommodate us last minute which was a blessing at the end of an adventurous trip! It was so nice to stay here again!

Walking distance to the airport, friendly staff (I asked for a more quiet room and got one without hesitation), quiet and green garden area. Coffee is being served from 6:30am onwards, breakfast shortly thereafter. The traditional breakfast is very good and glutenfree (if you need that option).

There was not much water coming out of the shower (although this was only the case during my second stay, first time around I had a different room and the shower was great!). I would have appreciated a milk alternative for my coffee, but that is complaining on a very high level.

The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was super clean!!! Bathroom was large and it was super clean as well. The breakfast was basic but made with purified water and tasted great! Overall this was not "hostal" vibes, it was more Best Western Hotel vibes.

There was a lot of steps to get to the room and in the room the bathroom had a step up to the bathroom. Just a note for those who need a flat entrance, double check with them where your room will be.

We needed just one night after arriving late at the airport and this was perfect - clean, close and comfy. We were unsure whether walking to the hotel with our bags late at night would be sketchy, but we (a couple in 30s) made it fine at about 11.30pm local time with no issues. It is literally 5 minutes walk. The streets were quite dark and a bit deserted so whilst we didn’t have issues, a verified cab at the airport should also be cheap if you prefer that. They had free purified water from an Eco Filtro (which you’ll see everywhere around Guatemala) which we love as stops you needing to buy endless bottles.

Noise travelled quite a lot between rooms but often the case - didn’t ruin it for us.

Friendly, helpful staff. Very welcoming and great communication before our stay. Excellent location - so handy to the airport and an easy walk to the airport. Great for early morning or late night flights. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Filtered water available in reception. The team organised transfers for us to Antigua Guatemala and also stored our bags when we went away for a few days to Flores.

I think someone from the staff was playing really loud music in his phone since 5am. It felt like someone had a speaker next to my bed and couldn’t sleep anymore.
