The owners are nice people and the girl at the reception is very helpful. The rooms are very clean and quiet. They offer free tea, coffee, biscuits and bananas at any time. They are very reactive in case of a problem.

The location is great and pretty close to the central area. The breakfast was ok. The thai breakfast was our favortie choice. Very confortable beds. The room was cleaned every day.

Two of the outlets in our room were a bit tricky. Our chargers kept folling out of them. And the pillows were to hard and tall. But otherwise things were quite great. Very good value for the money.

Breakfast was OK not great but definitely worth it and the coffee was great. I was very happy the rooms were clean everything worked. I was very surprised and happy with my stay Huen Chan Thip

I thought the location could of been a little closer to the night market. It was about a 15 to 20 minute walk every night. Other than that 2 thumbs up

I loved the cozy vibe as soon as I walked through the door. We stayed 4 weeks and got to know the staff. They treated us very kindly. The location is perfect...close to many restaurants. We were there during the bad flooding (September 2024) and despite losing cleaning staff for a few weeks, room cleaning and other services were maintained through the hard work of the remaining staff. The pool was wonderful. Altogether a great experience and I will be staying there again in October.

There was nothing to dislike

Breakfast offered a lot of choice, the crispy chicken was amazing and very tasty! Staff friendly always offered us tea & coffee in the morning. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Always gave fresh towels and bottles of water everyday.

15 minute walk to town (didn’t bother us too much but something to consider) Pool was available but looked a little mucky (we chose not to use but others swam)

Good location, quiet with an easy walk into town. Reliable hot shower. Breakfast looked really good (we don't eat breakfast) Comfortable bed. Everything worked. Nice pool, very cold,pool towel provided. Our room was not ready on arrival so offered an upgrade, this room did have a balcony so suggested they provided chairs on the walkway outside the room. This was quickly sorted and suited us well.

No one on reception. When we arrived took a while to find someone. The fridge goes off when you leave the room. Some cobwebs, dust above head level particularly in the bathroom.

We stayed only 2-3 nights, the hotel has a good location. Even from the bus station we have walked to the hotel in 15min, max 20min. The room was so big that we installed comfortably, also it was clean. For breakfast, it is simple but efficient, you have choices for Western or thai style breakfast, so you can enjoy as you wish.

I could not recommend this hotel enough if you are planning to travel to Chiang Rai. We ended up having to stay in town for a total of 16 days after suffering a painful motorcycle accident, which meant that we had to extend our stay at Huen Chan Thip for that time too. It is a cozy, well-located B&B with an amazing Thai breakfast buffet, a great outdoor swimming pool and comfortable rooms. But by far the best part of the whole experience is the family that runs this guesthouse. They were always extremely kind, understanding, flexible and accommodating to us after we had our accident, even offering to drive us to the hospital, pharmacy, etc. Whatever it was that we needed help with, they would find a way to make it happen. And even though we were thousands of kilometers away from our own families in Spain, we truly felt like a part of the Huen Chan Thip family (which includes all the adorable cats). They really helped make this difficult time just that much easier for us. So look no further if you’re backpacking around South-East Asia like us, or even if you’re just feeling a bit nostalgic. I’m sure you will feel just as loved and at home as we did. Thank you Huen Chan Thip ❤️

our bathroom smelled a lot of moisture, not sure if that was issue of our room only or if that is normal in the area. you would get used to it after while but it was unpleasant when entering room. also one night water was dripping from the ceiling but that could have been also issue of our room only. also keep in mind the pool is inside of the structure so it doesn’t get sun
