The couple that run the Homestay Tri and Aung, were absolutely lovely, warm and welcoming and helpful with whatever I needed such as taxis or buses and their children and breakfast lady sweet too. Breakfast was included and was delicious and a little different every day. You can take personally tailored day trips around the local area with Tri the husband either on the back of his bike or in a car as a small group. There is a very easy going atmosphere at the Homestay and they are interested in all their guests. It is the size of a small hotel, but feels like staying with friends.

I've loved living here. It was like visiting family for a whole week. All the family members were so attentive to me, always helping me in every way.... they made me a wonderful home-cooked breakfast with Vietnamese coffee. It was always such interesting breakfast conversations where I would talk about my countries and they would tell me about Vietnam.... A stone's throw away was the sea, where it was wonderful swimming. There were no crowds of tourists, and there was all this great Vietnamese fast food right next door. It is an atmospheric place to immerse yourself in the real Vietnam, not spoiled by mass tourism.

Song Suoi Homestay truly lives up to its name as "a home away from home." Comfortable bed, clean room, and adequate bathroom. However, the real charm lies in the warm hospitality of the host family. Friendly, always smiling, and genuinely caring, they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is exceptional. The breakfast is great. Their local knowledge is invaluable. They offer advice on sights and activities in the area. For those who wish to explore, they provide personalised tours at very reasonable prices or rent scooters for independent adventures. It's a place where you feel welcomed, cared for, and well-guided during your stay. Another bonus is the rooftop tereace for evening relax. Can't wait to come back again...

Such a welcoming and friendly place to stay. The family are very much part of the homestay and the manager is a really friendly guy who is genuinely interested in meeting new people and ensuring you have a good stay. I really recommend going out with him for the day on his bike - it was honestly one my favourite days in Vietnam. For its simplicity and seeing 'real' Vietnam, which is what I like.

Honestly, the 'quirky' cups for coffee in the morning was not great for me hahaha which is such a minor thing! It's funny the first time, but I do like my coffee, an I like it simple

Great place to stay at! We really liked the place and everyone was very nice and helpful. The local bear is great and the terrace is the perfect place where to enjoy it. Breakfast is incredibly good! Homemade yougurt, fruit, sweet sticky rice, coffee, and many other local and very tasty food! Everyone was very nice and helpful!! We had to check out really early in order to get to our train, and gave us our breakfast to take with us!! Thank you veru much!!! :) :) Ps.: Do try the local beer! It's great!!

Beautiful, cozy and great ambience. The owners are a lovely family, they look after you and make you feel as part of them. They create a good atmosphere for all ages. It is a big homestay, and on the top there is a nice terrace with good views. The room was perfect, clean and tidy. Every morning they prepare a different tasty traditional breakfast. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the beach, and plenty of restaurants, street food, cafes, and markets around. I really enjoyed my stay!

They’re a lovely family. You’re greeted with big smiles and they welcome you into their home. You have the personal touch of a homestay plus the social aspect of hostel. They have a roof top terrace which is great to meet and chat with other guests. You also then have the opportunity to chat with them if you have any questions to ask about the local area or your wider travel needs. Their English is great, their kids are polite, friendly and well behaved which adds a family vibe to the whole experience. I can’t recommend them enough. Many people pass through Quy Nhon but I would suggest looking to stay longer. It’s a stones throw from a stunning beach and there are a number of activities run from the hostel such as snorkelling and a sunset hike. I wish I’d stayed longer

What is not to like

Nice hotel with an hostel feeling. Nice owner who speaks good English and helped me a lot Close to main beach, street food and all facilities. They rent scooters and offer tours. I didn’t do because I was sick Breakfast was excellent and included in the price just you pay extra for coffee, not expensive but weird.

My hotel had no room facing street. You better ask a room with window before otherwise there is a small window facing corridor so it can get a bit stiff and warm at night. It will be good to have some clothes hangers for towels and jacket. I had to dry my towels after shower in the clothes rack. Room was not cleaned in 3 days even if I left the key at reception. One guest arrived at night drunk, so you can hear everything as room is not soundproofed.

The owners of the homestay, a family with 3 kids, were very friendly and open. During our stay we developed a personal relationship and it felt like we were leaving friends in the end. Under the guidance of Thi we made 2 unforgettable trips in the surroundings of Quy Nhon, where we experienced the very local spirit of Vietnam, far away from any tourist traps. On New Years' Eve we ended up on the roof terrace (a great place with a marvelous view) - playing guitar and singing with other guests of the homestay. We loved the time in Quy Nhon and would come back anytime. Our room was rather small for a family of 4 people, but it was clean and since we were there only for the nights, it did not bother us.

Lovely place to stay and also socialise and meet other travellers. It’s a great location, right next to the beach and lots of restaurants/cafes nearby. The family who own the hotel are all so welcoming and chatty. The breakfast provided was delicious. Good WiFi, comfortable beds and a nice rooftop terrace to chill.

The only problem was, when we arrived there appeared to have a mix up and no rooms were available despite us having booked in advance. The owner quickly organised and paid for a grab to take us to another apartment. This was a big apartment, also in a good location, just meant a short walk (approx. 1km) to breakfast each morning. Not a huge issue and wouldn’t stop us from staying again :) WOULD 100% RECOMMEND!!!
