- Beautiful Hotel inside and outside - Employees are friendly

1) It would be nice if they put some Coffee/Tea bags inside the room. 2) Some music in the breakfast area

Good breakfast!!! And the dinner at the hotel restaurant was exquisite!!!

Some elements in the overall decoration could be better: the old carpet floors and doors , it was a mixture of beautiful furnitures and design but helaas combined with the depleted ones

Wow, we booked on line for a place in the Belgium country side as we are making our way south to Florence. We picked a cheaper remote hotel expecting the average. When we arrived we found an upmarket historic property situated just outside a quaint village and set beside the most amazing stream. After settling into our comfortable room we went down to the the beautiful lounge area beside a stone fire place. Outside the sounds of the stream set a magic environment to enjoy a glass of local red wine and cheese. We then went to the restaurant where we enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak and vegetables, with fresh salad and hot crisp chips. Perfect. So good was our stay we decided to book and additional night. If you are a hiker or just enjoy life and love good living here is your place

that we could not stay longer

Lovely location. Great staff. Lovely evening meal. Newly refurbished bedroom / ensuite bathroom. Log fire to enjoy after supper in the lounge.

Nothing really, all I would say is that the main part of the hotel is very ‘brown’ with outdated decor compared to our room. It’s a lovely hotel but the main colour scheme of brown everything makes it very sombre. Breakfast was sole less - not a member of staff anywhere and the food looked like it had been laid out for hours.

What a place. A bit remote but the staff at the hotel sorted us a taxi to a nearby village to a restaurant and bar and I loved, loved staying here. I fell ill over night and I was with two mates on a motorcycling trip, when I woke up in the morning we were told we could stay another night for free untill I felt better. Amazing, I would definitely go back.

Nothing. Charming hosts and great hotel.

We loved the chalet and the location. Plenty of choice at breakfast and nice evening meal in restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wi-fi not available in the chalet which would have been nice - it was available in the main hotel. Also would have liked coffee making facilities in the chalet but this did not spoil our stay.

The hotel was situated in an excellent location on the edge of the town, which suited our intention of walking in the surrounding hills. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent with a diversity of dishes in the restaurant.

Although our room was very comfortable and promptly made up during the morning a continuous low-level noise came from the plumbing serving the towel rail in the bathroom. This was rather disturbing throughout the night. The noise seemed to decrease if the heated rail was turned on, but as the weather was hot we did not wish to do this.

This is our second visit to this hotel, whilst travelling back to Calais from Germany. It is a lovely location and perfect for breaking up our journey. The restaurant is really nice and the dinner and breakfast are very good. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

The staff is super friendly, they really go out of their way to help out. I had an issue with my walking shoes when I arrived, they arranged alternative shoes for me for the evening and the owner took me to a hiking store the next day so I could continue my hike the next day. The location is also super nice, next to a running stream.

We stayed in one of the chalets and I have to say it was superb for a family with kids! We totally loved the stream flowing between the main building and the chalets. Staff in the restaurant and check in/out was super friendly!

For my taste the mattress was too soft and pillows too high, woke up with a pain in the neck. But that's just me.
