staff are lovely and accommodating, they also have good knowledge of local area. Food was of good standard and big breakfast variety. lots of kitchen faculties to cook own food. good parking. peaceful and rural. amazing walks nearby. There are some older children groups from schools while I stayed, and they children were really well behaved and friendly - the teachers should be proud of them.

not applicable. for a YHA in rural area its great. they have something for everyone, including camping. nothing I didn't like. Wifi in room is an issue and I had to do some webinars, but I sat in a quiet area of the YHA. If I could recommend anything it is to have a wifi or quite space where wifi is so people can sit on laptops. apart from that all good.

Honestly, everything was so lovely. It's in the beautiful filing chalk hills near Shoreham-by-Sea. My husband, children, and I took a long long walk before the late 5pm check-in. We were lucky because it was a lovely day. The cafe is really lovely. It's the living area, and there are panoramic views of the rolling hills from the wall to floor windows with big comfy armchairs and tables for eating. My kids enjoyed playing the board games, which was such a lovely change from them gaming. I couldn't believe how clean and spacious and comfortable the family room was! Unlike Premier Inn, you can open the window and breath the lovely sea air, but it was also toastie warm, so I made sure to turn off the radiator before sleeping (like to sleep with the window open.) the bedding was all really clean and very good quality. Very good mattresses, too! I was surprised how brilliant it was, to be honest. We were really comfortable. Shared toilets and showers, bit that was no problem. Everything was very clean. We had a corner sink in the room. Oh, the food is good, too. It's not cheap, though. A family meal cost the same as it would in a pub or restaurant. There's a kitchen you can use, though, so if you bring your own food, very economical.

5pm check-in time is a little late to be honest. We were allowed to sit in the cafe from 2pm, mind you. Luckily for us, it wasn't raining, so we had a long walk before checking in.

Nice communal sitting and dining room. Clean, good kitchen. Great games and book cupboard. Amazing breakfasts. Beautiful location. Clever, responsibly staff. Bright room.

A bit of a smell of damp in our room and signs of damp in the corridor. Plastic mattresses on the beds made me sweat at night. Showers are dingy. Difficult to find the entrance to the building in the dark. No sign in kitchen to say oven has an on/off switch to flip before you use it.

Well equipped. And great to either order food or cook your own. Great location too. Slept well. Games for kids to use were great. Friendly staff.

I couldnt find anywhere to dry clothes outside on a line to dry swimming towels etc. Some more freezer space for freezer blocks (lots of people travelling with food)

A really nice hostel with a lovely vibe. A bit more like an old-school hosteling experience rather than a new and shiney inpersonal place as I find some hostels these days. Staff were super friendly, lots of different ages staying, a good kitchen and social space. Beds were comfy and drinks on offer!

I'd say the whole place could do with a deep clean

Truleigh staff were super friendly and it is exceptional value for money with a good canteen, good very reasonable food on offer and or a self catering large kitchen. Location was superb with lovely views over the gentle hills ,looking towards the sea, nice walks locally - nice front garden to sit in and relax.

If you dont have a car it is difficult to get to - and the showers /toilets could do with a refurb - but given how reasonable it is to stay , it is probably too much to ask financially.

Location is in the middle of nowhere, forcing you to exercise lots! Friendly staff. Well-run establishment. Nice big kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

I think I feel the cold a lot more than others, so not a criticism, but I personally found it cold a lot in the main room as windows were opened throughout the day time, it wasn't very warm when I stayed. No issue however, one can add more layers.

The staff were so helpful, very friendly and helpful. Had a late check-in due to traffic delays and they were so understanding, they even rang to confirm we were still on our way. Couldn't fault the staff, the cleanliness and character of the building. The views were so stunning, breakfast was delicious and such a treat to wake up to the neighing.

It can't be helped but the snoring of dorm roommates through the night. It is what it is

The location is amazing. You are able to listen the birds from the early morning. They have made improvements, simples but very nice. Like the displays at the staircase, showers at the open area or the fabulous tents installed at the rear. One more time, I wish to show how grateful I am to the staff: young people has the power 🤍

We need to help them to improve the premises. Things could be done with a bit of help from the adults.

The YHA location is superb and really good for the Wellness journey I am on. The staff are so friendly and the facilities are perfect for what you need during your stay. The walks at your disposable is exceptional regardless of the weather. You can choose to eat at the café , or have full facilities to self cater. Their is also access to a washing machine and a drying room for a very reasonable price.
