Very clean and comfortable rooms. Tub was so nice. Breakfast was delicious with excellent service. I loved how the kitchen was left open during the night so we didn't have to leave the facilities. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

We couldn't figure out how to turn down/turn off the heater. So our room was a little too warm for our preference. Since the room was located between the front door and the dining hall, I found it slightly noisy in the morning. No one was disruptive, it was just the location of the room and couldn't have been helped. I would love to recommend the place to my parents, but my father wouldn't be able to do the walk up the hill after parking. But again, that can't be fixed because of location.

My husband and I love to come to the Leaside Manor. Our favourite suite is the Trinity suite. We have been at least a dozen times. We try to go once a month for either a night or a full weekend. I recommended the lease side manner to so many of our family and friends and they've also enjoyed it. Cannot wait to come back.

There is nothing to dislike about this property or the staff. The property is absolutely amazing. The staff are so sweet knowledgable and kind not to mention helpful. The staff is the best.

There were several maintenance issues. The toilet by the office was not hooked to the floor and could cause leaking. The shower and the port Royal room was cracked and broken. The air conditioner in our room was also really loud and we kept turning it off because we couldn’t sleep with it, but then got too hot. The room itself was beautiful.

Beautiful and peaceful. Very well put together. Staff are incredibly helpful. The architecture and the history of this place was very intriguing. Food was delicious both mornings and you felt very respected by the staff. Service was stupendous could not have asked for a better relaxing weekend.

Nothing really other than no hand soap available instead we had to use shower gel provided by the staff when wash in or hands. Not a big deal.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall location was good. Large common table for breakfast allowed for great conversations with other guests.

Room setup was awkward. Seating was a window seat and high stools. Nowhere to watch TV from except the bed. Large jacuzzi took up too much room. Just really awkward. Also had an excellent view of the graveyard next door.

The room was fine, pretty comfortable, clean, what we had reserved. The breakfast was very tasty and the breakfast staff was very nice. We had to sit family style with other guests at breakfast which at first felt a little uncomfortable but in the end it was really nice to chat with everyone.

The receptionist seemed annoyed that we existed. The walls in the room were pretty thin.

I take many trips to St. Johns and normally stay right downtown. This time, I decided to stay here. The pictures they have online don't do this place justice. Ok.. the coffee.. dear lord. WOW The room... amaze balls The tub is totally showing off. Biggest home tub I have ever been in. Staff... over the top awesome. Talk, laugh, within an hour I thought I was surrounded by friends in my own home. This will be my regular place to stay moving forward. Great people, great place, great breakfast.

The breakfast was phenomenal and could even be delivered to your room. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Check in process was smooth / efficient. It felt like they were expecting us as valued guest - heat was turned up for the cold day on which we arrived, information sheet tailored to us etc.. The facility is a character home which is well appointed and maintained. The breakfast room was well setup and the décor was appropriate to the period of the house. Parking is plentiful if not expansive however we were there in off season so perhaps appropriate to full occupancy. We stayed at the Leaside at the beginning and end of our vacation and the experience was consistently excellent

There was nothing to dislike but for some, location is outside of the downtown core. It's walkable (2km) to main attractions like brew pubs, restaurants, the wharf etc. but a car or taxi would be necessary for some. The internet was a bit slow but not an issue for usual functionality when travelling. There was no overhead lighting in main room but only a minor factor.

Gorgeous old house with warm christmas vibes, friendly staff, and yummy cooked breakfast included. Super comfy bed and pillows. You can also use their kitchen and dining room till 10 pm if u wanna make coffee, get some water, or eat your delivered food.

You can hear the guests in other rooms, so we were worried we had disturbed others when we arrived at 4 in the morning from the airport.

We are newfies who like to rent out a different hotel/b&b every month . Our last stay was at Blue on Water , which was amazing . Our stay at the Leaside included a lesser room than what we got for a comparable price at Blue , but an infinitely better environment . The manor is beautiful , quiet and located in a great area. The rooms are more than adequate , if not big . Great for couples . Walking in of our own accord , introducing ourselves to the room , and then having the most polite staff assist me in whatever I needed was the best service I’ve received in St. John’s . Very unobtrusive. Very comfortable . Will be back in the near future

For the price , I honestly don’t think anything could have been better Check In was simple and painless , staff were very much invisible and non invasive , yet were on the ball for any needs we had . I know this is a section for complaints , but I’d rather use it to say how much we appreciated not being “over served “ . I will recommend the Leaside to anyone , and I would also recommend showing appreciation for the two woman who served us flawlessly with an appropriately friendly disposition
