I loved the rooftop onsen — you get an amazing view of Osaka while you sit in the bath — and the Japanese dinner and breakfast are great. You can get a fresh yukata everyday. There is some entertainment like a manga reading area. They had a jazz musician come and play one night. There’s bowling but I never found it.

The room was definitely old albeit functional. If you don’t mind that then it’s perfectly fine. I wanted both an onsen experience and to tour Osaka — it is 30 min out of Osaka and make sure to take the express train and not the local one to Minoh.

Amazing rooftop onsen overlooking osaka skyline. Great facilities. Staff can speak english and mandarin and were so nice. Can buy souveniers here. Walking distance to minoh falls.

Buffet felt rushed, timed entry, and food was okay, not the best, but lots of options.

Great hot spring resort on a hill close to a beautiful park, great views from a room and from roof spa, great choice of food for a dinner and breakfast.

Don't forget that alcohol is not included, you have to buy unlimited bar when you possibly don't need that much

Very close to the train station- google maps says 18 mins... it's only 3-4 (and we had luggage!) Wonderful onsen, great staff, great services, comfortable room etc.

The breakfast time was too short- but decent selection. Only minor thing- but cafe's closeby!

We love onsen, so the facility is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay from check-in till leaving the hotel.

The hotel could have a bar.

Location was out of the city and nice and quite. Short walk from the Minoh station. Buffet was nice and room was clean.

The staff were very friendly and tried so hard to make our stay comfortable. They were friendly and helped us book taxis to the temple and to a train station in Osaka. They responded quickly to our needs and were definitely the highlight of the experience.

I felt very out of place here--it wasn't the staff, who were fantastic, but the other guests in the hotel. I was being stared at the entire time (even with my tattoos covered, see comment below). I got the sense that foreigners were not wanted here by the other guests. I tried to be respectful of people's space. I tried to be friendly, but I think cultural differences in what is considered friendly (smiling at others) may have meant that I was really just making it worse. In short, unlike every other place I stayed in Japan, I just felt unwanted and spent most of my time in my room. Also, they are serious about NO TATTOOS. They even asked me to wear a jacket in the lobby because I had a visible tattoo. We were not able to use any of the public bath facilities. It is clearly stated in the booking.com information, so it is something I should have expected, but I clearly did not understand how seriously they take this rule. I reached out ahead of time to make sure that there would be vegan options, and was told there would be. Unfortunately, the language barrier made it very difficult to identify the vegan options from the buffet style food. Even with translation app, the staff did not know which items were vegan. It made it difficult to eat.

The view of the outdoor onsen with steps is magnificient, but not the other one.( But the time slot for ladies is very bad!)

The hotel is too old rooms are so small and worn out! Everything is so outdated. The buffet breakfast is just a mess! Not enough time because we need to queue up for food and too many people.
