I loved that they had no plastic and low-waste toiletries in the room! The location really is excellent, very close to the bus station, beach and all the restaurants and bars. It was quiet and extremely clean and the balcony was really useful for drying clothes, and there’s a desk if you need to work with a plug socket right there - not always the case! Wifi was fine. The bed was extremely comfy and the air con good. It was very clean and they will clean and make-up your room daily if you leave early enough. You will sleep well here. I regret only trying nearby El Café de Inês on the last day, they have an amazing choice for breakfast. I tried the also very nearby Meson Mari y Miguel and can recommend it for traditional fare. As others have said, the staff/owners are nice and helpful.

As a solo traveller, I found it a little impersonal tbh, as they don’t staff reception unless they need to and there are no common areas except the lobby. I can see how that would appeal to some people. You get a posh hotel anonymity and room servicing without the posh hotel price. I really wished there was a fridge and a kettle, or at least the former, so I could make tea in the morning or, at least, enjoy cold drinks on the balcony. Both Aldi and Lidl are nearby. There is certainly room in the room but with the price of electricity currently that would probably be too much of an expense. There’s no lift so you need to be mobile and not have heavy suitcases, however they would certainly help you carry these.

Excellent location in the centre of town. Room was compact and had everything we needed. Spotlessly clean. Friendly hosts.

The location is perfect! The receptionist is very nice and friendly. The room is comfortable and has the basics that you need for the stay. It is recomendable.

The wifi signal was not strong and it would disconnect often.

We liked the bed it was the perfect size, we had a terrace and there were plenty of plug sockets, the staff were also very nice and tried to communicate with a bit of English

Hostal Rocamar is well located and easy to get to. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel manager was very helpful and friendly. We have booked to stay again.

can be a bit noisy due to central location . a clothes rack to dry clothes on balcony would be a great addition .

Excellent location for seeing the town. Near everything. Very clean room and reception guy very pleasant.

Room was very small. We hate shower curtains ! Bathroom was tiny ! Not the hostales fault, but parking in Almuñécar is a nightmare and trying to understand the parking colour coding is just downright difficult!

Central and so clean. The beds are comfortable and the staff very professional. Would certainly recommend for a pension stay.
