I wanted to take a moment to express my utmost satisfaction and gratitude for the exceptional experience I had during my recent stay. The staff, location, and cleanliness exceeded the expectations. outstanding kindness and hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to major attractions and convenient transportation links. It made exploring the city and accessing amenities a breeze. The cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms were impressive. The attention to detail in maintaining a pristine environment did not go unnoticed. I highly recommend it to any visitor seeking a delightful and memorable experience.

Fabulous hotel with good facilities and in a perfect location for ski lift and the village. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel because it was expensive at 25 euros per person per day, when we only eat a very small breakfast on a morning. However the restaurant did look very nice. We ate in there for evening meal once. Plus other members of our party ordered pizzas to the room which were great and good value. I would recommend the hotel.

Cannot change the temperature in the rooms. Far too hot, digital TRVs controlled remotely set at 21 degrees in the evening and overnight. They have a dial on them to adjust the temperature, but if you turn it down after a few minutes it reverts to the set point. It’s on quite a busy street so difficult to sleep with the window open, and obviously it’s not very efficient to heat a room and cool it down with the window open at the same time. Also I wasn’t allowed to take my snowboard to my room to pack and take home. Made to take my roller bag down and pack my stuff in the lobby!

Winter stay in Jan 2024. Brilliant staff, super room & whole hotel was immaculately clean. Lots of hotel car parking & fantastic location only a 5 min walk to the main ski lifts in Kaprun, All restaurants within a 5 min walk too. A superb breakfast choice even if a little expensive @ 25 Euro each - but was well worth it. This place is highly recommended & surrounding area and place to visit make it magical. Zel am See 15 min drive, Salzburg 1.5hrs, Kitzbuel 1.5hrs.

Absolutely nothing - having to leave to come home !

Cosy interior, bar & restaurant and modern, comfortable, well equipped rooms. Perfect location - 5 mins walk from city center and ski lift. Nice view to the hills. Very friendly and supportive staff. Fine three -course dinner.

There is not a minibar/fridge in the room (though the hotel bar is open till late at night and guests can take food/drinks to the room). There is not a kettle/ capsule coffee machine in the room.

Great location in the center of Kaprun, with convenient parking. Very good food - a lot to choose from for breakfast, tasty snacks and dinners, big choice of drinks. Nice & friendly stuff, easy to talk to, providing great service. Beautiful decor, comfortable rooms, everything super clean, quite good sound proofing, big room for ski equipment. Hotel donates to environment initiatives if guests waives room cleaning what we liked. Easy communication and ordering of service via tablet. Despite of few improvement points we enjoyed the stay and would return.

Opening hours of wellness quite short (15:00 - 20:00) and colliding with snack serving time (15:00 - 16:30) and dinner (18:00 - 20:00) so one needs to be in hurry to enjoy all that. Lack of privacy in showers when cooling down swiming dress free after sauna. Coffee/tea set not available in the room.

The hotel was magnificent, as soon as we entered we met with Sophie, who was lovely. She had been expecting us (which was a nice surprise and made us feel welcomed) and explained how our stay would be perfectly. Parking on the property is free, unless you park in the garage, but they also had free off site parking which was really a 30 second walk, opposite to the hotel. Our room was serene and I enjoyed spending time in there, however, a great improvement would be if the tv could connect to netflix on my phone. Or have any sort of smart feature, after a lengthy drive I didn’t want to watch shows on my phone. But the tv had limited channels for English speaking people and so we really didn’t use it. The wellness centre was really therapeutic after a long day of skiing and overall the hotel is somewhere I’d definitely want to come back to again. They have handheld bidets for all the Muslim guests and a halal restaurant only 10min walk away!

although the tap water in the toilet was drinkable, i wasn’t comfortable enough drink from there. I wish there had been some sort of vending machine situation in which i would’ve gladly paid for bottled water. Since the pandemic I’ve become a slight germaphone and the anxiety I got from the idea of drinking from the tap in the toilet was bad. it may seem like an over reaction but especially with the drier air in the mountains and skiing all day I would’ve liked to have had access to bottled drinks in the hotel. we did buy packs from the grocery store but it would’ve been nicer to have at least a vending machine would be great. Another thing to watch out for is the swimming pool is not private at all. People sitting in the restaurant can clearly see out.

Breakfast in the hotel was good and all staff members were extremely polite and helpful. Walking to the ski rental building and ski lift was a short 5-10 min walk. We will definately look to make a reservation in Hotel Sonnblick the next time we go skiing in Kaprun.

Loved this hotel! The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and in a great location - near the ski lift and other restaurants. Breakfast was fab and had everything you wanted!

Our rooms were near the stairs and lift which meant some noise in the morning with people heading down to breakfast or departing. It was not a big problem though.

We loved this little cozy hotel. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast is very good (it covers all preferences). Our bed was comfy, the room had a nice view and although it was right above the restaurant it was very quiet (great soundproofing). Unfortunately we did not use the wellness area, because we preferred to spend time outside, as there is so much to do in the area. We will definitely return here.

We didn´t particularly like the food we ate at dinner. It was cooked and plated nicely, but it wasn´t exactly our taste. You had the option to choose your main course as well as dessert, but only had three options. In my opinion, the selection should be extended. Also, there should be at least 2 or 3 options for children as well (only one was offered), especially since we all know how picky children can be :) We travelled as a pair this time, but would love to return here with our son and would love to see more options for children.
