The hotel is smack bang in the middle of Akihabara and Ueno, you are definitely staying where the action is. The property is super clean, and I was pleasantly surprised to stay in a big room, one of the most spacious one in all of my Japan stay. They have a free drink station at the lobby and manga books to read. Staff were so accommodating and looked after our bags when we checked-in and checked-out early. There is a Lawson combini close-by, and subway and JR stations are about 10mins walk.

Breakfast is not free, had to pay 1,000 yen per person, it was worth it though with a good selection of western and japanese food available

The room was cleaned every 4th day - which was ok as the hotel provided a new set of towels and slippers everyday nonetheless. You can find free amenities (tooth brush, shower accessories, etc), water, and free coffee at the reception. Great location: just 10 mins walk to Akihabara and to Ueno.

Room was a bit bigger than others in Tokyo but still it is extremely small, we had to keep our clothes in the suitcases on the floor and it was already no room for movement.

The location is super convenient! The room size was also good, it was not as small as in other hotels where we could not even put our luggage, here we could store our stuff and move around :D The receiption has a free coffee machine and a microwave, so we could warm up our combini food there. Also free luggage storage was very helpful. The receiptionist could speak English. WiFi was strong and stable! Even with the small one drawback described, we still liked the hotel very much, its conveniences outweigh it and we will definitely return here.

The only con was the thin windows, not soundproof at all, it was noisy from the street and some draught was coming though. The draught thing was solved with tucking in the curtains and the sound problem was solved with earplugs.

Staff were great, they held our bags when we arrived before check in and they were in our room when we got back, they helped with booking taxis and advice on how to get around and gave us big umbrellas on the rainy day. Breakfast was interesting and delicious, they had breads, soups, salad and daily buffet that changed. Overall we would stay again.

It was quite a walk from the two closest stations/areas - about 10 mins, which I know doesn't sound like a lot but in the level of heat it is right now in Japan and the amount of steps you do in Tokyo on the daily, this matters. Also, we stubbed our toes quite a few times going in and out of the bathroom with the raised ledge, which is purposeful but a pain.

Had a hair dryer which apparently does not happen in all the hotels. Furniture was at a more European height, making it easy to use. Almost everything in the Swedish buffet was delicious. Cleanliness was fine, the bed was fine, they gave us 2 pillows: 1 was soft another hard. Location is close to northern side of Akihabara's electric town, so it was really nice for exploring it. Complimentary toiletries and umbrellas

Bathroom had almost no space for toiletries, had to keep unpacking and repacking our items. It's not exactly far, but it's also not close to any train station, so there's a bit more walking at the beginning/end of every trip.

Location was great, near restaurants and lively streets. Breakfast was good. Staff were fine. Place was clean. Beds and pillows comfortable. We got lost trying to find the correct underground station to get us to the Skyliner Ueno Station (which is the train for Narita airport). I recommend catching a cab from the hotel to the Skyliner Ueno Station, which cost us only about 600 yen (approx $6AUD). This worked out cheaper for us, a family of 4, than if we had all bought metro tickets, plus less hassle and stress :-)

Room had a smell but it wasn't overwhelming and there was a humidifier which helped. Over 3 days that we were there the smell went away. Only one small lift. No parking, even though they say there is on the ad, there isn't really that we could tell but there's lots of public parking available, so no matter.

The staff was friendly and the front desk could speak English quite well. The location was good, it was near the station like 7-8 minute walk. The room and hotel were clean however our room had a musty smell that made it uncomfortable but we fixed it with the air purifier. The room was big enough for two people and the bed/pillows were comfortable too. We were provided with many free amenities including drinks on the first floor too.

The room we stay in had a musty kinda mold smell to it. The bathroom did not have it but luckily we were provided with an air purifier that got rid of it after a while but had to be kept on the whole stay.

Very good location: subway stations are in 5-10 minutes on foot. Akihabara electric city and Ueno park are very close to the hotel. Nearby streets are quiet, peaceful and safe: very comfortable to walk in the late evening. Cafes and restaurants are pretty close too: 5-10 minutes walk. Staff are friendly, free 24/7 access to unlimited bath accessories on the ground floor next to the elevator as well as drink water (cold and hot). Unexpectedly very delicious breakfast: not very various, but anyway it is a Japanese-style buffet with a little rotation day by day.

The room is very tiny, what is pretty okay for a small Japanese hotel, but keep it in mind, because it is not easy to place even couple of 28' luggage bags there. Shelves and other surfaces are quite dusty, but overall condition and cleanliness of the room is pretty good.

We love the breakfast!!! The provision of complementary coffee and water at reception at anytime of the day is a big bonus. Room is very clean and we love that all necessities are well provided for.

The toothbrush!! Would be better if the toothbrush is softer. It's too firm on the teeth and hurt the gums. Would be good to have the toothbrushes in different colours to prevent mixed up by different persons staying in a room. Walking distance from Akihabara station is a little far and it's hard to find the hotel in the night.

We arrived early and despite saying the earliest we could check in was 1pm (with a fee), they managed to let us in even earlier at 11am (with another fee!), which was well worth it after a long flight! The room was comfortable and was good having two beds for us rather than a double bed. Handy sockets near bed and by the desk. The breakfast was really nice, decent variety. Staff were friendly, although a couple had only basic English (much better than my Japanese, so can't complain!). Close to a few metro/train stations and right by a Lawson convenience store.

Only minor niggle was forgetting the breakfast pass one morning and having to go back to the room for it, though I guess that's because not all guests are B&B.
