Above all, I appreciated the approach of the management. When we arrived the manager told us that the following morning two other rooms would become available so we could choose to move to one of these if we wished. We did indeed move one floor up to have more daylight and a slightly larger room with a bigger shower. When we said we wanted to hire a car, he took us personally to a rental agency which proved efficient, flexible and very reasonable in terms of charges. The room was made up quickly every day with fresh towels. The hotel was one short lane away from the bay but on an effectively traffic free, quiet street leading on round to the main shopping area. Breakfast was varied with fresh fruit, actual juice, several savoury options (no hot food) and multiple good jams and honey.
The only thing that took some getting used to was the lift which had a disconcerting habit of dropping a couple of centimetres when you stepped in but it seems just a function of the age of the device. It worked fine and had space for 2 (not always the case in older Greek hotels).

The hotel is in the city center and only a 5-6 minute walk from the port. It's in a very convenient location for guests arriving from the port, as there’s no need to carry luggage for a long distance. The hotel's manager, Mr. Yannis, is very helpful and kind. Don’t plan your day without consulting him. His spot-on recommendations allowed us to see many different aspects of the island. Thank you very much. The rooms are quite sufficient with a bed & breakfast concept, offering a minimal and compact room and breakfast experience. It's a good value-for-money place to stay in the center.
As it is in the old town, the building is old.

Location is awesome, in the middle of the city, and you can reach many shops immediately in 1 min walking. There is no noise. The bed was comfortable, which is very important for me. They change the towels everyday, and are helpful if you need anything. You can walk 12 minutes to the beach. There is one that you pay 2 euro in each enterance, and it is a great beach with everything free (umbrella, sunbed, shower, changing rooms, toilets, etc) and the sea was very clean and awesome too! There is also a free place on the same way near to the freedom statue, that is also quite good and very clean sea with many fish. The breakfast was very good which has various unlimited sweet and salty food. Drinks were good, such as unlimited milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, etc.
There was no balcony in our room. If the door had a hanger, we could dry our wet towels and swimsuits more easily. However, the window had a large part outside, so I placed my swimsuits there to dry, and some other things on the chair or the window handles. At the end there was no problem at all. The air conditioner worked very well too and we slept with air conditioner on in ease. The breakfast was very good as I wrote above, but just a suggestion: it would be much better if there was feta cheese instead of Kasseri (cheddar cheese). Also, instead of bread and cake, koulouri would be much better. Turkish people eat a lot of green in the breakfast along with tomatoes, so some green pepper and cucumber or Arugula etc. would be much appreciated.

The location of the hotel was very close to the ferry area, Lesbos port and the whole city center. Since it was 5 minutes away in the city, we had easy access to everywhere. The owner of the hotel Mr. Giannis Papadakis was very friendly and the breakfast service was very good. Since I was sick, he also offered chamomile tea for breakfast. It was located on a very safe and quiet street preferred by the Turks, very nice and very close to the bakery on the corner :) We were able to reach the ferry from the hotel by walking with our luggage. If I come to Lesbos again, I will stay in the same hotel and recommend it to my friends.
Hot water, tea/coffee service at night would have been nice

Porto Lesvos Hotel is a family business. The hotel is in the heart of Mytilene and 10 minutes away from the port by walking. The closest beach is 15 min away by walking. We didn’t rent a car and we went as 2 couples friends. The hotel’s owner Yannis is a friendly helpful guy. Other staffs are very friendly too. We went from Ayvalik and we really enjoyed to stay this place. Also breakfast was great! I definitely recommend if you like night life and to be stay city center.

We really enjoyed our stay at Porto Lesvos. It's very centrally located, and it offers good value for money. Our host was welcoming, and the breakfast was simple but good. The room was air-conditioned and had a comfortable bed.
There was nowhere to hang up our wet beach clothes, swimsuits etc. The shower didn't have a cubicle or curtain, so flooding the whole bathroom was the only option. Also, be warned that the hotel is located in the heart of party central. It is surrounded by lively bars with loud music. The double glazed windows work really well, but they don't block the noise completely. It didn't bother us but it might others.

We didn't have breakfast. Location is excellent, right in centre of Mytilene, close to the harbour and not far to the beach club. The hotel is located on a very lively night-time street and the room we had overlooking it had pretty effective double glazing. The rooms were attended to daily with regular fresh towels (very soft). Fridge good. Drop off and pick up by taxi closer to the hotel than expected.
The pillows were a bit lumpy and no kettle in room.

A very nice location in a street parallel to the port street, only 6-8 minutes from the ferry terminal. There are many restaurants and bars in the immediate area - we walked 30 seconds to get to a restaurant. We had a room facing the street, but did not hear any noise. The reception is not manned 24/7 and we arrived in the evening. However we had been informed by the hotel which rooms we had been assigned and had also received the code to the door.
The lift was very small.

The staff were extremely accommodating. I arrived quite late in the day as I came on the ferry. The staff from Porto Lesvos Hotel had sent me a message with the code to enter the building and they had my key waiting for me at the room. I had breakfast in the morning which was really nice. The location of the hotel is also great. It was close to many restaurants and nightlife. Also close to the ferry port and the bus stop for the bus to the airport. The staff also allowed me to leave my bag in the hotel while I explored during the day and I was able to come and pick it up later in the day before heading to the airport.
I don't have any complaints.

Great location in the heart of the old town, near the seafront, walking distance from the port, the main attractions , shops, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is a nicely renovated old building with an elevator, rooms comfortable and clean, with aircondition and a small fridge. Room equipped with soundproof windows, which was great since in the alley in front of it are bars and restaurants that stay up until late.
