This is a fabulous property - industrial chic design that is also warm and comfortable (not always the case). The bar/lobby space is well appointed and warmly lit; the space was active/social but not loud. It is separate from check in so you not in the middle of that traffic. You are really in a nice space. Quiet rooms and floors, great walk-in shower, lots of hooks in bathroom and room. Nice for all the winter clothing. We stayed five nights over Thanksgiving weekend. Good restaurants nearby; easy subway access. Quick trip to Manhattan via subway. Staff are great. We had three breakfasts in the restaurant - all good.

not even the basics in the room are complementary, no coffee in the morning (!) everything is self service and has to carried to the room in cardboard boxes.

Goog looking, large and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Good location, close to the subway.

Like everything in New York, it’s a bit overpriced. No free water. Ridiculous mini bar prices. Even though it’s a great location, the neighbourhood around the subway, could get a little rough at night. Lots of homeless people begging as soon as you would get out if the hotel by day. Native New Yorkers seemed immune to this but I felt really sorry for them and had trouble not giving them something. This has gotten way worse since my last visit, a couple of years ago.

Check-in staff - Can’t quite remember the guy who assisted me but he was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to help me get sorted. Great start to my trip. Location - Great for getting around Brooklyn but also catching the subway to Manhattan and beyond. Vibe - Fantastic fit-out that was high quality. After staying in one Ace will be sure to look out for the other locations when traveling.

Would say cleanliness of the bathroom was 8/10. Less about the housekeeping staff and more some tired/wear and tear around the shower base.

Really nice room with a great view - set up nicely with tasteful decor, comfortable bed, a very quiet room even though the hotel was absolutely hopping in the lobby, etc.

I object to there being no free coffee for guests - either in the room or downstairs in the lobby! At the price of this hotel, coffee should be available. Also, no iron or ironing board, only a steamer.

The architecture, decor, location, neighborhood are all wonderful.

The wait/bar staff in the restaurant/cafe was quite rude. Perhaps a one off but the bartender, who was waiting tables, basically refused to acknowledge or speak to me (the head of my group) and didn’t take my order, when he went around the table w the rest of my family. It went on like this throughout our experience. He may have been acting this was as our family group shifted from 2 to 5 when others in our family came to join us. We were staying at the hotel and I let the server know but he seemed put out by it. Very odd behavior to hotel guests…

The hotel is really stylish with a great entrance area and lobby. The staff were so friendly, they gave us a good welcome and there was always someone available to help with any questions. Our room was so spacious, and the beds so comfortable!! There was everything we needed in the room and even when we couldn’t work the TV someone was there to help within minutes. Within the hotel there’s the Lobby bar which was always buzzing and the As You Are restaurant which had a decent menu, but the best thing was the ‘happy night’ drinks at the bar- good deals on cocktails for a NY bar that last until close.

There’s not that much you can walk to from the property. A lot of good restaurants and bars are still a 10-15 min walk away but there are good subway links and the hotel itself has plenty of amenities.

CHECK YOUR BILL! The initial bill was more than the USD amount that was quoted on Booking.com which was stated to be inclusive of the resort fee and city tax. The hotel did reduce it to the correct sum when this was pointed out (by removing the "Destination fee" of USD 35 / day incl tax) but I am not sure why there was a discrepancy in the first place!

Everything. From the second we walked in there was only things to love! Our room was incredible, decor was gorgeous, incredibly comfortable and just so damn COOL. We stayed 5 nights and had the bonus of staying when an in house DJ set was held in the bar. Location was perfect - super easy to walk to DUMBO or further into Downtown. Subway a few short steps away for further exploring. Loved every second of our stay and can’t wait to return one day.

The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Brooklyn, but still in a quiet, clean neighborhood. Parking was surprisingly convenient and reasonably priced, which can be hard to find in NYC. The hotel itself was spotless, and the rooms were spacious by New York standards. I loved the work stations in the hotel and the special touches. Overall, the ambiance of the hotel really stood out — it felt modern yet cozy, with a great mix of style and comfort. I’d definitely stay here again for its central location and comfort.
