Staff friendly polite and hard working, Room was slightly smaller than we had anticipated but comfortable bed, pillows a little lumpy, would advise they replace, room 6, shower was hard to guage either very cold or too hot, took a while to adjust. TV on wall could have done with a bracket to move around to enable seeing from other side of room. The breakfast was of very good quality produce and best poached eggs we have had in a long while. Location is fantastic for the town and beach and other tourist sites. The outside area is great for the afternoon and evening entertainment, lovely friendly atmosphere between all the pubs and restaurants there.

Stairs to room quite steep and it was very warm evening so had window open wide so traffic noise was loud perhaps a fan in room would help. Apart from all these recommendations we would return again.

Good location in centre of town and seafront, parking nearby, friendly and helpful staff, good food, nice breakfasts.

Room was a bit small but adequate, could maybe do with a refurb. Couldn't get why they had different food menus for the bar and restaurant. We originally booked the restaurant but actually ate in the bar as the bar menu had more choices. Also, it seems they had a limited breakfast menu for guest where as their published menu for non guests again had far more choices. Having said that the quality of the breakfasts were good and staff very friendly and obliging. Not the fault of the hotel but parking can be expensive if staying more than one night.

The staff were brilliant, so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. They turned the radiators off in my room when I asked them to, got vegetarian sausages for me for the full English option of breakfast and kept reminding me I was there to relax when I was there. They looked after me really well. I felt really comfortable staying there as a solo traveller. The breakfast was amazing, a good amount of choice and interesting things to have, Dunkerlys is known for it's fish dishes and so it was lovely to see fish on the menu, knowing it would be good quality and cooked well. It was so lovely to be having breakfast with that Sea View. The bar was comfortable and welcoming and available till midnight for residents which made for nice evenings. Location was perfect for seeing the town and close to the train station, you could easily go to other bars nearby but I chose to stay there as the atmosphere was so nice. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was a brilliant place to stay and I've already booked my return trip.

The only minor difficulty was the shower pressure wasn't very good. But I'm sure if I had mentioned it they would have solved it. Vegetarian sausages were available on request for breakfast, but not advertised. I did get the impression though, that whatever you asked for at breakfast would have been acquired for you.

The location on the sea front was very good, and the space joined with the other surrounding pubs on the square created a nice piazza for outdoor drinks. Bed was large and comfortable, room was well appointed and clean. Great value for money with two full English breakfasts thrown in.

Parking at the train station is a bit of a faff, but manageable. The shower in our room didn’t work properly and just dribbled out, took ages to warm up and stayed tepid. Lots of stairs, wouldn’t be ideal for some folks.

Excellent hotel in the optimum location - seafront, opposite the pier, close to car parking, shops, pubs & restaurants etc. We were particularly impressed with our lovely bedroom (No. 3) & would highly recimmend to anyone. And we thought the staff were very helpful & friendly. Thank you!

To be honest the breakfast is/was quite limited. On the first morning the English Breakfast we ordered was well cooked as we had requested but our breakast on the second morning was quite disappointing as there was no yoghurt left plus there was iterally no Continental Menu or food on offer other than a warmed up croissant, upon request. We love an occasional English breafast but not every day!

Location is excellent. Right on the seafront.staff were very nice and helpful.

I asked for twin beds we were given a king. Our room was via the toilets at the back of the hotel. We had no seaview which was a shame. Unfortunately we overlooked a grubby back garden. The room was in need of tlc- paint peeling off the walls. We were there to celebrate my friends birthday and it put a slight downer on the occasion.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was HUGE and comfortable. Great location too, within walking distance to everything. I never felt unsafe being a solo traveler. The staff were nice too. Breakfast being included was great. The menu was limited but I was grateful to have anything. They minded my bag while I went out too, and I was able to check in early. Quite a few many stairs to walk up (I was on the top floor) but that was fine for me. I loved that it had a bath and a seated area, everything was well thought out and it had everything I needed. I'd stay again.

The Wi-Fi was a little choppy at times which was frustrating.

Great location, lovely double room, good selection for breakfast which was included in the room rate.Friendly staff.

Put the "to clean "sign out and a cleaning staff member saw me outside the room and asked if I need anything,I said no thinking she meant for now.I went out soon after but left the "clean room" sign on the door. When I returned a few hours later my room had not been clean or supplies eg toilet roll re-stocked. The hotel is also a pub/restaurant so you would expect a little noise but the Friday night I stayed there was constant banging from the outside/downstair door that went on for a few hours.

Great location, no onsite parking, but staff able to inform us of where we could and how much it would cost. We opted for a budget room which was clean and a good size, perfect for us and good value. The inclusive breakfast was varied and served with a smile.

We were on the top floor of the hotel and away from the main rooms through a door leading to the restaurant toilet area, and opposite the boiler room which in the end wasn't a problem for us. As pointed out to us, we were in a budget room, which explained a lot!

This is a very nice and well-run establishment. The room was a good size and the facilities and complimentary toiletries were of good quality. Efficient staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

My double bed was two single beds pushed together, so not ideal but could be worse. There was no Vegan breakfast option. It was a little galling to see people enjoying a large fried breakfast as I ate two Croissant (which contain milk so not ideal for me) with a cup of tea. To be fair, they did have oat milk so I could have had cereal if I wanted. This limited-style menu extended to evening meals, so overall not a vegan-friendly establishment. This is a shame as I probably won't choose to stay there again, I've marked it down a point or two for this reason. If this changes I will happily visit again no problem.
