Room was spacious and all stuffs were functional

The location was not so good

I can see Seongsan Ilchulbong from the balcony,the staffs are helpful, it is a clean room especially the bathroom!

The mattress is so so, no big towels were given, only the small face one. There is no iron. The swimming pool is yet to open when I was there

Private, clean and had a short walk to nearby stores and restaurants. Also had a great view.

Other customers above and next to our room was a bit loud and some stole our towels a few times. The staff did give us extra towels for the inconvenience.

I appreciated the convenience store just around the corner. The communication was easy, check-in and check-out quick. The room was huge (for one person). The location is OK. Although there are better options when it comes to location (I was aiming for Udo island), their price is much higher.

There were lots of bugs in the room and in the bathroom, too. The slippers in the bathroom were unbearably painful to wear. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean. In the kitchen I would appreciate some pot, plates and cutlery. (What is the stove for, when there are no pots?)

The location was great. The view was amazing. We asked for a room with a good view and bathtub and we got exactly that.

The room was not that clean, there was dirt on the furniture and on the sliding balcony door. Also cleaning was only available after paying for it

Let’s start with good (bad will be below). The location is very close to Udo island - which is a cool place for a day trip. It is equally remote from two big cities (~45 km from Jeju or Seogwipo) - which people who like privacy and remoteness will appreciate. The room is pretty spacious, but old (see more on rooms below). There were a few bus stops within 15 minutes of walking that could take is anywhere on the island pretty much, given enough time. 1-2 hour commutes on buses are very common. But keep in mind the buses are not as often - maybe every 30 minutes or so.

First impression was strange - the awkward check-in time of 4 pm at earliest (have to pay additional 10-20K won fee for early check in). But why? Then the rooms - they were probably really nice when new, but after a decade of use, they are now pretty old and with a bit of damage in some places. Having a bathtub is cool though, it is difficult to find a hotel with one in Korea, and it was a selling point for us. But was it worth it? (Perhaps no after all) We were excited about the terrace, but it was dusty and dirty, and we did not really have the desire or means to clean it to use it. Now the drama: bugs. It is summer and the place is in the remote area, almost in the jungle, so having bugs around is almost expected. We are fine with a few little beetles roaming around. But two giant cockroaches flocking out of the electronics compartment? This was a bit too much. We asked to change the room and the staff simply gave us the new one, no apology or anything…it looked like as if they were aware of the cockroach problem and it was nothing new for them. The new room was identical, also with signs of wear and patina over the years. There was a nice veranda outside on the roof, which was…closed. And they seemed to have a restaurant, which looked like it was closed. And a convenient 7-eleven store that was only open 6pm-11pm, so not that convenient.
