Location in old town is excellent. The room was palatial, and the swimming pool very welcome. BUT: took ages to figure out room heating and there was not enough lighting for reading. Breakfast was not self-service but had to order from menu. On our first day the one member of staff on duty was clearly overwhelmed and we had to wait for ages to be served. The second day was fine because there were no other guests there at the same time. They should just have a wider range of buffet foods and self-service coffee machines.

It was very spacious and clean. They had an extra cover and towels in the couch bed. The location was perfect. Literally right by the town center. They also had extras like coffee, sugar, shampoo, etc. It was the perfect place to stay.

It was confusing getting in the locked gate the first time, but afterwards it was fine (it was probably me). Also, keep the windows closed because it can be a bit loud on the street at night, but the windows really cut the noise out.

internet in my room was so unstable it was unable, staff tried to help but to no avail. If internet is essential to you then I’d check before booking l. Not a negative for me but it’s in the old town so my driver had to drop me a short distance away, a short walk and the old town is lovely

Friendly staff, Parking sorted out by the hotel which was fab as could leave the car and forget it. Very nice pool, steam room and sauna all very clean. Wonderful towels and dressing gowns. Nice bathroom. Excellent tv and Internet. Beautiful old property full of character and view of the castle and old town. Nothing too much trouble in this establishment. Nice coffee in the room and on breakfast

The breakfast was a bit too fancy on the buffet area with lots of canapé type things and no labels so I didn't know what they were. Generally some quality bread rolls, local ham, and cheese is best. then the hotel would not have wasted canapés.

I'm not sure there's a better location in Lublin! Smack in the middle of the beautiful old town. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The spa was a relaxing end to a wet, cold day. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond - particularly Derek and Sebastian. I am so grateful to them and delighted that I chose Hotel Alter for my stay!

The staff was wonderful. They were extremely kind and very helpful. We requested our rooms be close to each other. Af first, they could not accommodate, but were able to move one of our rooms the next morning. The location was perfect and the hotel was very nice!

Room was extremely well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, shower and bathroom had an underrated addition of a speaker with a connection to local radio. The facilities in the hotel were a great addition to the overall experience. The wide variety of options and their operating hours (spa area open till 10) are great way to relax following a day walking around Lublin. The location is in the centre of the most beautiful part of Lublin and only a short walk from anything you may need. Finally, the staff is also extremely helpful and ready to help with anything you may need. This is most likely the element that brings the hotel it’s high star rating as the staff is always available and ready to help with anything that we needed (even something as awkward as needing swimsuits on a Sunday evening in Poland)

The breakfast options were good and high quality but slightly limited as most of the hot dishes were by order. The hot water tap in the coffee machine was also not the best design.

Breakfast choices were very limited (no buffet except drinks and pastries, 5 or 6 food options from the menu) and the food was not great, small duvets on a double bed.

We loved everything about the property the location was great the staff were superb, the room was amazing, thanks for the upgrade. The pool and spar was fantastic

The only thing that was a little disappointing was the breakfast, the cooked to order dishes were a very nice but limited, and the buffet dishes were very limited too

The floor in the bathroom is very slippery than it become wet. The vapor and smell from the sauna and the pool are reaching even 3 rd floor (the sauna and pool are located in minus 2 floor). It is vey difficult to park the car in super tiny parking place and to pass the very narrow access road. It is imposable to find the hotel by navigator.
