The boss is a very kind and good person. He stays in the property and he gives a very good vibe so everyone respects the guesthouse. You can cook there and do laundry there. It is super clean and Boss cleans everyday. I stayed there to escape the golden week and had a party with the guests and made many friends. Boss is really the heart and soul of the place and he also gives you privacy. He built the guesthouse himself so there is a lot of pride and joy. There are bicycles and a projector system to watch movies on. It is really cool to see how he had built the place to be comfortable for guests.

Nothing. There is only one shower room but all the guests have respect and we all know how to pace ourselves. Just no hair conditioner but that is a small thing.

Highly recommend if you stay in Gizu as a solo traveller. The place was very charming! Bed was confortable, location great to visit the castle and around, staff was helpful and bikes were available 😁

One shower for the entire place so if there are a lot of people it could be a problem. But not so many people when I was there so it was perfect.

We stayed here for Gifu halfmarathon and it was just perfect. The host is great. He even offered us an after-marathon shower. The location is best, in walking distance to the halfmarathon starting line. And the tatami room is beautiful. Would definitely stay again!

It's an old house so the walls are thin and we heard everyone waking up early in the morning and the traffic from the nearby road.

Great host, kitchen where one can cook, laundry for free, and very clean. Also close to water and walking trail.

Location was a little farther than I thought, 30 minutes by foot to the Gifu Station but serviced well by buses.

The owner is very helpful and kind. He searched a good restaurant for me and came to tell me where it was. He let me use the bike for free. The place is very good and quiet. He gave me information about kormaran fishing too and where to go to see it without using the expansive tourist boat

Nothing is bad.

- Owner was super friendly, had some nice talk with him. I had many recommandations from him, and he also gave me a ride to the JR station, very useful since I had a heavy luggage - you can use the bicycle, which is a huge advantage to go to the surrounding areas - The bed was confortable, nothing fancy but enough for my stay of 4 nights - Common areas are large enough to spend some time and have a chat with owner or guests.

Lovely owner, very flexible and helpful. He provided me with precious information regarding the events during my stay and was always very responsive. Beds were comfortable, big kitchen space, clean.

Highly recommend! Great place to stay for few nights. Very close to the castle and also very close to the nature if you want to do some great walks. Everything was fantastic!

Great place, the owner is really nice, the bed was comfortable and the living room was at good temperature knowing that it was really cold outside around the end of November. On top of that, I met other travelers who were really nice!

The bathroom is too small.

Traditional guesthouse close to the majority of Gifu’s best attractions, host is amazing and helpful in every way possible, even with my poor Japanese skills
