Breakfast was a nice surprise. There were just few items, but there was a sophisticated coffee machine. On the downside-there was no place to actually eat the breakfast, you have to take it to your room and there were no trays provided. Friendly stuff, good location, right off the road, but that's if you travel off-season. In season it's quite away from the beaches, so the bonus for "location" vanishes.

Very very tight rooms, I would say even "crammy". sardines in a can would feel roomier, don't get fooled by the cover photo, and of course as everything in the Hamptons it's overpriced, off season or not

I cannot say enough GOOD about the Wainscott Inn and their staff. I had what started as a one week stay due to a family death that extended to 3 weeks. My stay was stressful helping my elderly uncle adjust to life after his wife of 50 years died suddenly. The room was perfect for a single traveler. I was able to park right outside my room making it easy to unload and load my car. I never felt unsafe. Every request I made (and believe me, they started before I even arrived!), was welcomed with a cheerful response and a “no problem “. Extra pillows…there when I arrived. Room for a short person (IYKYK), no problem. Extra creamer, no problem. Computer wouldn’t fit in the outlet by the desk…let me bring you an extension cord. They set it up while I was gone! That’s service! Needed important documents printed, no problem. Didn’t leave the room on Saturday before the cleaning team finished … the General Manager refreshed my room! Patty, the GM, was extremely helpful and kind during my stay. I HIGHLY recommend the Wainscott Inn.

The shower was small but the water was hot and forceful and there were plenty of clean, fresh towels. They are beginning renovations soon, so don’t let that keep you away.

I thought it was a nice property that was very centrally located. The rooms were big and clean. It was a bit quiet and the staff seemed sparse. That said, they were all friendly.

I wish there had been a full-length mirror.

I like the nice architecture of the main house. The room is very high and the bed is comfortable to sleep in. The room was quiet and warm.

I had a wedding to attend with only a hour to get a room and get to the wedding the place i booked gave my room away without notice and as i walked in explaining my situation and she read what was on the paper and i signed 5 min. I was in my room.

No cellphone service in that area, so we didn't know how to get to the wedding.

Still a great place to stay, now under new management. Clean rooms, friendly and capable service, near everything you want to visit, with no Hampton attitude. We’ve been staying there for 30 years and give the Wainscott an “A+”

Wonderful clean room, beautiful grounds which were in the process of renovation so it will be even more beautiful and wonderful kind and helpful staff. We will definitely go back again and again

First time here, very clean and well appointed. had to arrive late and the team was very accommodating leaving a key for me after hours. Quiet location, I would highly reccommend!

Close to East Hampton which was good for me.

I reserved a two room bungalow. The one room with two beds was not as picture on the site. The room was smaller than the picture. A bit deceiving.

Location was ideal for work and travel. Very close to my employer's office. Very pleasant staff.

There wasn't anything that jumped out at me. Some fo the rooms have dated decor but were clean and presentable.
