The breakfast was very unusual and took a bit of getting used to but I certainly enjoyed the experiment and the view from the terrace was spectacular. Bearing in mind the location is extremely hilly with numerous steps and steep inclines, it was a relief that there were 3 different bus services from the Piazza Republica located 62 steps down from the hotel. The host, Vicenzo, was very helpful and his assistant (Anna) an absolute diamond. With only 5 bedrooms, it was easy to get to know the other guests and I definitely recommend the hotel.

My room didn't have some of the facilities described in the "booking confirmation" such as ironing facilities, refrigerator & desk.

Perfect location in between RAGUSA IBla and RAGUSA SUPERIOR- you could walk to the heart of either one in 10 minutes. Wonderful facility-comfortable room, fabulous roof top terrace plus a shared lounge. Friendly, caring host and a gourmet breakfast of local cheese, meats, breads and spreads. Parking was relatively convenient too-a big lot off a main road “just” a 5 minute stair climb away (and our host met us and carried a suitcase up)

We loved everything, but if you have a problem with stairs this is not the place for you(and maybe skip Ragusa) It is only 3 flights inside, but the street outside (see photos)is a staircase so you must go up and down to visit any of the wonderful sights and restaurants.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Intervallo. It was easy to communicate with Vincenzo, the owner, and he explained where to park for free. He then met is at the parking and helped us with our bags. We had 2 rooms. They were comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms had everything you might need. Vincenzo is super nice, friendly and helpful and you can see he loves his work. He served us a beautiful breakfast with cappuccino and a board of local cheeses, hams, jellies and breads. Intervallo also has one of the best views of Ragusa Ibla and you can enjoy it from the terraces. Loved staying at Intervallo.

Staff here are phenomenal! Room though cozy was very comfortable and clean. Absolutely beautiful roof top terrace with spectacular views of Ragusa Ibla! Vincenzo who met us at property was such a gentleman and carried our heavy luggage up the steps for us , gave us a tour of the building, recommended excellent restaurants! He also gave us his number to arrange taxi service for us during our stay! Above and beyond! We had a lovely breakfast served on terrace by Anna who was just a delight! We also had dessert on terrace overlooking Old Ragusa lit up at night. Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you have ambulation issues this might not be the right spot for you with its many steps…

The location is perfect to get you to either side of Ragusa. The balcony view at breakfast was amazing. The room was great and very comfortable and very clean with clean quality towels. It is up steps so if you have mobility issues you might struggle but then you would struggle around Ragusa in general as it’s all steps. A little gem of a place with the best host! Breakfast was superb. All locally sourced and home made dishes too. Vincenzo gave restaurant recommendations which was superb and organised taxis which were very reliable! Great sitting area upstairs with beers in the fridge to relax before going out! Everything thought of!

The shower in our room was an open shower with a curtain. If you didn’t position the shower head just right then the floor was soaked. It’s my only negative comment and it’s being picky as it was manageable once we realised.

Spacious room with panoramic terrace view of baroque cityscape, lovely as an artist’s canvas. Vincenzo is wonderfully hospitable host who loves his city and loves sharing sightseeing and restaurant insights as well as laying out an excellent breakfast of local breads and pastries with unique jams and savories. Delightful loft with commons area, dining room, and terrace with spectacular views of city and church domes. Highly recommend. Vincenzo, we still owe you 1 euro for city tax!

What an interesting ´intervallo´ on the steps between Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa Upper - a place to stop and stay. What an adequate personal attention that a guest might vaguely expect in a hotel but that's not often met. In Intervallo this means easy Whatsup communication about arrival and meeting you at the nearby Piazza. You get a proper map with advice where to go, where to eat. The breakfast is full of local delicacies and is individually adjusted, incl. gluten free bread, muffin, cookies if requested. All this with a reasonable price - of course it was still in off-season. Taxi comes timely for taking you to the bus station, a fixed price (e15). The eco awareness is truly observed but without causing any discomfort; the room is so comfortable with heating on and crisp clean bed sheets and towels. Filtered drinking water and tea making facilities are upstairs.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Not only is it conveniently located between Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa Superiore, but the property also offers stunning views of the surroundings from the balconies and the rooftop. The host and staff are super friendly and helpful, a special thanks to Vincenzo who welcomed us for the check-in and gave us all the information necessary about Ragusa. The accomodation is very nicely decorated and the room was comfortable and spacious. Lastly, the breakfast is prepared in a very genuine and unique way. Unfortunately we could only stay here for one night, but we would have loved to stay longer.

I loved everything about my stay! It starts with Vincenzo being the best host - I was given a warm welcome as well as lots of recommendations of restaurants and sites around Ragusa which was greatly appreciated as a solo traveller. From the moment I arrived I felt at ease and well looked after. The location is perfect, room very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was a delicious taste of local treats, and the views are really spectacular. It took my breath away every time. A very memorable stay that was much too short, so I will be coming back and will definitely stay at Intervallo again!

We loved staying in this beautiful guesthouse in picturesque Ragusa Ibla. Simple & stylish room, compact & comfortable. The view from the rooftop terrace was just stunning. Our host Vincenzo was very thoughtful, generous and helpful. He helped carry my bag up the 50 stairs (grazie mille, Vincenzo!), arranged our taxis to the bus terminal, provided fabulous suggestions for restaurants, and served a superb breakfast on the terrace each morning featuring delicious local produce. A superb place to stay in charming hilltop Ragusa.
