The hotel is a beautiful, interesting work of art with lots of neat artworks in it. A very friendly, accommodating staff. Fantastic location, near great restaurants, historic locations, and a cool park along the water. The hotel provided free bicycles for use, and I loved the opportunity to ride along the water and around downtown Charleston by bicycle in the morning. (I do suggest that the hotel not allow people to take bicycles out all day. 2-3 hours is sufficient and fair. I didn't have a problem, but I can imagine shortages in the availability of bikes because people just hold on to them.)
The breakfast was a bag of some pastries and fruit hung on our door, and free coffee was available in the lobby. It was appreciated, but don't expect a hot spread.

Location is excellent! Lovely hotel and our 4th time here. We ate Christmas Eve dinner at the Revival and it was excellent! Seriously, the best prime rib I have ever eaten in my life! Everything was wonderful. Great service everywhere !
Honestly, the hotel is one of my favorites and continues to be. But, I was very surprised by the change in the lobby decor. Before it was artsy, but classy, great lighting and loved the bar and the old restaurant as no longer is there brunch on the weekends. The new lobby looks very chic in a South Beach sort of way with bright lights and everything red and white. I hope you keep the traditional rooms across the street as they are more Charleston !

The location was unbelievable. Right in the heart of the historic District of Charleston. An amazing art exhibit. The staff was very accommodating. Our first room was an interior room with no window. We realized it was a bit claustrophobic and requested a change of room. They were extremely accommodating and immediately change this to a beautiful, sweet with tall windows. I would highly recommend the hotel as a unique experience. If we were ever in Charleston again, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

We loved everything. Check in and check out with Jessica was fantastic, she took very good care of us and Uncle Jeff. Entire staff was excellent but Jessica was the shinning star! The valets and valet service was a 10/10. This is one of the best boutique hotels in Charleston. The decor is incredible, it was literally like staying in a modern art museum. Spacious, well appointed, clean rooms. The food and drinks at the Roof Top Bar where excellent. Great location. Located within an easy walk or Uber to the finest restaurants and bars in Charleston. Looking forward to staying here again.

Cute breakfast brought to the room each morning consisting of mini croissant, jam, and little muffins for each person. Location is AMAZING right downtown. Room was gorgeous!! Stunning and great for photo shoots.
It is an old building, so the air conditioner stopped working during our stay. Super quick fix by the hotel staff which was great!! It was late in the evening and they still came to fix it within 5 minutes of me texting the front desk. Then it worked like a charm!

Wonderful hotel well-located in the historic district of old Charleston. The hotel is billed as an art hotel and is loaded with great art - some classical, some eclectic, and some just weird. But all great fun. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. Staff was very attentive and texted us throughout our stay asking us if we were satisfied or needed anything. Lots of special little extras such as a bag of breakfast goodies on our doorknob each morning when we got up. This property also has an outstanding restaurant Revival that serves delicious low country specialties and a rooftop bar with great views across Charleston. Hotel location can't be beat with most major sights - the market, riverside park, rainbow row, and the battery - in easy walking distance. Greatly enjoyed our stay in this outstanding hotel - highly recommended for a romantic getaway or just to relax!
Nothing to speak of.

Location! We were able to walk to all our points of interest! We were also pleasantly surprised with a bag of breakfast goodies at our door each morning! Tasty muffins, croissants, and fresh fruit were plenty to fuel us for our morning sight seeing!! My husband's favorite lagniappe detail was the cookies and milk served each night!!
We found that the hot water was a little delayed so we had to let the water run quite a bit before stepping into the shower.

The staff were great. They were professional, friendly, helpful, and genuine. The hotel is in a prime location in the city. The roof top bar allows for great views and the adjoining restaurant is one of the best in town for service and food. It is billed as an art hotel and it does provide a lively boutique feel throughout.
Room was smaller than I would like and the mattress was not overly comfortable.

very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was hung on your door in a little bag every morning, fresh coffee, milk and cookies in the evening, smooth check in and check out, fun art pieces all around the hotel, we enjoyed taking the art tour. Not to mention in the perfect location.
our room didn't have a view, so if you get an interior room don't expect a window

it was quirky and very arty which we liked .. fabulous
having a room with no windows made me feel claustrophobic! I don’t like complete darkness with no natural light. There were no coffee making facilities. It was expensive for such a small room, but beautifully done.
