We really liked the location, although it was a bit removed from the town center. We chose this location because it was not in town and that was our preference for this part of our trip. It is located very near a great local restaurant that was recommended by staff (we travelled by car). It was a unique experience for us to stay in a location that had a depth of history to it. The staff kindly filled us in on the background story of this hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory and sufficient. We have had more extensive offerings at other places that we had stayed, but we recognize that this hotel is smaller and would not have a large clientelle. The breakfast was customized to our preferences, which we very much appreciated. It was served on the terrace, which suited us perfectly. Parking was very convenient, just outside the main entrance (above ground). The room was large by most standards and very comfy. There was an attached livingroom type space located in one of the towers, and we found this a very nice feature to our room. On check-in the staff showed us a couple of rooms and allowed us to pick the one we preferred - both were quiet nice. Access to upper levels is by a large spiral staircase located in one of the towers (67 steps to the tp floor). There is no elevator, which was not a problem for us but others may wish to consider this limitation for vertical movement in the building.

It was a pleasure and also an honor to stay in a castle with a so long history. We liked the kindness of the hosts, the great parking opportunities and travelling with a dog it was nice to have dog friendly walking areas nearby.

No elevator, so climbing stairs can be a bit dificult for some people.

Excellent breakfast..well prepared, beautifully arranged. Perfectly white table cloth, comfortable leather chairs, the rooms gives you a feeling of home, many details, great style.

perfect as it was. May be elderly people should be warned that the house has no lift and the suites on top are not so easily manageable .

Excellent night with a very rich breakfast, in a castle that must be extremely enjoyable in summer thanks to its garden and location. It is very quiet, and the rooms comfortable, nicely renovated and spacious

A good dinner in the castle would have been nice. Unfortunately there is no restaurant. It is actually not a hotel but a B&B. The rooms are on the third floor and there is no elevator, which wouldn't be ideal for travellers carrying heavy suitcases or have difficulties climbing stairs.

Beautiful interior spaces, modern with lovely art and design touches. Spacious rooms with great views. Fantastic breakfast.

Room was much bigger than expected, clean and nicely decorated. Amazing garden, perfect for a romantic stay. Very good value for money.

The room was cosy, quiet and furnished with style and attention. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend it!
