I Travelled to Koper for Business for a 4th time but first time at The Grand Hotel. I also had a guest staying for the latter part of my stay. The Hotel is very 'Grand' having all the esteem of a small palace. From walking in the door, to getting to your room the gravitas of your choice of stay is a nice feeling. The room I stayed in had a great flat screen to connect my phone to and the WIFI was accessible anywhere in the hotel, not once did it buffer on youtube. The breakfast buffet was delicious and abundant with freshly made eggs on request. A great start to the day. I also had the privilege of Valet parking, this definitely made coming and going a seamless event. The evening restaurant with a discount from your stay will be a pleasant surprise to have onsite fine dining akin to a luxury city centre Michelin star foodery. Excellent service, excellent presentation, and delectable taste for a reasonable price. The Hotel is situated front and centre to the whole sea front allowing you to walk to nearly any attraction of Koper. Lastly the staff. The staff were at every moment, genuine, friendly, eager to help, well presented and a fine cherry on top of the ornate pastry package that is the Grand Hotel. The front of house team and breakfast service members were especially friendly giving a relaxed feel to every morning and request. Would and will 100% stay again!

Nothing. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and the price is reflective of what is provided but definitely, I felt I got 'bang for my buck' at the grand. The extra cost = Many extra benefits.

It was a fantastic trip. The accommodation was simply indescribable. In addition, we really enjoyed the view of the sea in front of us on the roof terrace. Everyone was very nice and attentive. The breakfast was completely adequate, plentiful and filling. We eat a lot of vegetables/fruits, one of us also has a milk intolerance, but we still had a rich, filling breakfast every morning. The workers there did their job professionally, I especially liked the way the eggs were prepared upon request. The workers are very good! The room was gorgeous, fully equipped. The view from our window to the promenade was also magnificent. The bed was comfortable, cleanliness, order everywhere. The parking system was great for us, so we didn't have to look for a parking space. The receptionists were smiling, kind, very helpful, and the parting gift from the hotel was also very considerate. It was a very positive experience for us. Koper has a lot to discover and beauty for the more routine and novice beach visitors, for which the hotel provides a comfortable rest that meets all needs. We are sure that we will return to Grand Koper in the future! We wholeheartedly recommend it to others!

It’s a beautiful and restored hotel, it feels luxurious yet somehow still delivers those nostalgic Yugo vibes, the heydays! It’s perfectly situated, lovely walk to a beach, very accessible by car. I only wish we had more time here. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was great as well!

Nothing not to like about this place. The room did have a strong bathroom smell - not from the lack of cleanliness of it but from the plumbing - which aired out with the use of the fan and opening a window, it was off putting at first but once we got the air flowing it went away. We would have asked to change rooms but it was the last one left and we really loved the hotel otherwise.

Room is quite nice and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and amazing. Staff was very polite and nice. Overall, good hotel on a god spot of the city.

I think the hotel should not be classified as a 4 stars hotel. Outside of the room, there is no space for the guests and the room itself The lobby was crowded with stuff for sale (clothes, plants, candles... everything) and made the environment feel crowded and uncomfortable. I was expecting more from an expensive hotel classified as 4 stars.

Great location, public parking nearby that is free on weekends, very spacious room, great sea view and friendly staff.

The floor in the room is tiled, so it was cold and the hotel slippers fell apart on the first day. The heating in the bathroom didn’t work at all, and considering it’s November, it was too cold for a shower. The rooms are decorated in an old-fashioned style. The breakfast was average and same every day. Dinner was good but took too long (it’s not a buffet). The price is just too high for what the hotel offers.

Perfect location near the old town and all of center city buzz. The hotel was super clean and staff very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was rich, if you want eggs you can order them and they will fix it for you on the spot. Our room was centrally located with sea view which I believe was an upgrade so thank you for that. We stayed there for 1 night only as Koper was our transit spot but would gladly return as the town itself has some special charm to it and during our stay it was full of life. Prices in Koper are a bit on the upside, but we cant compare as global inflation influenced price increase all over Europe. P.S. hotel entrance looks like a coffeshop/boutique entrance which we really liked but were confused when we came there if it was the hotel entrance or not. :)

The Capra restaurant was outstanding. The chef, Marja, prepared an amazing vegan dinner that was not exactly on the menu and proved just how talented and creative she is. The dinner rivaled any Michelin Starred restaurant. Additionally all of our room requests were met. We had a room with a view towards the oceanfront and the most comfortable bed. The bed was huge, like a California King sized bed. We stayed a week and found plenty of things to do around Koper and surrounding area, including biking and swimming. This is our second stay at this hotel and definitely will not be our last, we'll make it a yearly holiday.

The personal was super helpful and friendly. Our car was parked and the luggage was brought to the room. The interior is super modern and pleasant room style. Breakfast was amazing ***** free proseco and great variety of food and you can order fresh prepared eggs 🍳 Restaurant by the hotel is also the best in the city!!! In the end we got a bottle of champagne 🍾 when we were checking out and also free drinks at the bar, while we were waiting for our car to be brought to the hotel entrance. Style of the hotel is very modern!! Best hand soap and hand cream in the lobby toilets!!

A very beautiful, recently renovated hotel in a great, modern and very comfortable style. The location is perfect, just in the centre of Koper, by the sea promenade. Everything is withing a walking distance, a lot of nice restaurants, shops and caffes around. But the best restaurant is actually in the hotel, named Capra which offers delicious Mediterranean specialities. You just have to visit it and enjoy the display and the quality of the food and amazing selection of fine local and international wines. I had a beautiful room with a sea view overlooking a bay, the bed was amazing and the bathroom fantastic. The breakfast was great, just as you would expect in a such hotel. I have to mention very warm and king welcome of the staff....at the Reception: Valentina, Marko, Anja, Kevin.......in Capra Robert, Klemen.....they were all very professional, yet friendly and hospitable. Big thanks to all.....I will definitely come back there. On my departure after spending a great long weekend there I got a very nice present....A sparkling wine from a famous local vineyard, I was really touched.

I just do not understand why this hotel has only 4 stars......everything is 5 star.

I liked valet parking! Hotel is very easy to find, to park a car, to check in and they just take car keys and they park it and even charged our electric car by our request! Fantastic! Hairdryer had different speed mode and which is more important different temperature mode! So I like to dry at the mid temperature (not cold not hot). The restaurant is good and has nice working hours. Good aeration system. Free bathrobe in the room. Breakfast was exceptional!!! Nice variety of fruits, meat/salmon, cucumber salad, egg/omleta handmade, fresh and there was my favorite bakery desert! Kettle in the room along with coffee machine. Electric outside rollet to close the window completely. Useful TV! Clean floor, no smell in the room, freshness.

The smell of the toiletries (shower gel etc.) was very specific, but this is just my taste. The sea water pool would be great option :) .
