I can write many things, but the key message is one - amazing view, well worth the name of the hotel! We arrived at the evening in a stormy weather, so climbing up the hill with the car felt like Indiana Jones experience (positive). During the night it was thrilling to see the lightings in the sky and at the breakfast we admired the amazing view to the nearby hills and mountains at the restaurant terrace.

The price was rather expensive, considering the overall old feel of the hotel and the lack of air conditioner. But again, only for the view and the romance it was well worth it.

Stunning location.

No shuttle service provided as stated. As we did not have a car, we walked down the hill daily but got a taxi back in the evening. Did this for 6 days, taxi an absolute rip off, unreliable at times and a bit of an attitude from driver. Restaurant and bar are not open every day and they close too early given location and nothing close by to go to without going back down the hill and taxi back up at a minimum of €25 (each way). More staff needed as often just 1 staff member manning everything and you can sense they are under pressure. Manager at reception needs to make some effort to interact with guests.

The hotel is located on top of a local hill with a beautiful view to the nearby town and surrounding mountains. We especially liked the view from our balcony. The rooms were ok, breakfast was sufficient.

The hotel feels a bit outdated inside, wishing for a refurbishment. There were no a/c in the rooms and no mosquito nets on windows/balcony doors, so we had to keep lights off during quite warm summer evening when we stayed in the hotel. Fortunately staff was kind to warn us about it when we arrived.

No bar or restaurant facilities, just a set of vending machines that accepted only cash and a change dispenser that didn't work (plus no prices on some machines: trial and error the only option). Since the hotel is quite a long way from the town, the lack of facilities is problematic. Fan in bedroom was not well placed for bed and was barely adequate in summer heat.

This hotel on the top of a hill of 646m is a gem! The building and the St. Marjeta chuch nearby are completely surrounded by woods. If you get a room with a view to the city of Kranj, you look down 300m unhindered and can see every little detail. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly, speaking English and even German. The hotel comprises a restaurant with excellent food.

You certainly can call us world travelers; we were quite impressed with the Bellevue hotel! The place surprised us on every level. Would certainly vist again.

Honestly, we couldn't think of anything except maybe it need a little more exposure. On the other hand, if that were the case we wouldn't have have received the amazing deal. A wonderful place to to stay. Thank you; we enjoyed it immensely!

The staff were exceptional in their attention to detail and friendliness. In the morning the view was amazing. We were well pleased with our breakfast. We ate at the restaurant and it was very good value. We enjoyed our food. Comfy bed and pillow.

The room was a little warm to sleep in, so having a sheet on the bed or information on how to turn heating down would be good. Otherwise, no negatives.

In many ways, I want to keep this amazing hotel to myself! But good things should be shared. I booked this, by looking at the booking.com map, for something inexpensive near to Ljubliana. I could tell it was up a windy road, but it all looked pretty straight forward. Walking from the station in Kranj it soon became clear that the trip on foot up the mountain was pretty taxing (particularly with a full backpack) 45 minutes later I staggered into the foyer, to a friendly welcome and the good news that the hotel restaurant was open. I went up to my room (two flights of stairs which were a breeze after the hill climb) and suddenly saw the view from the little balcony. The hotel is on top of the mountain with a breathtaking view across the valley below to the Slovenian Alps - snow topped - on the other side. I had planned to spend the next day in Ljubliana before coming back to the hotel for New Year's Eve. The view from the hotel changed all that - and I spent the majority of the next day , sitting on the balcony lost in contemplation. The more energetic can walk in the surrounding mountains or in the town below. The restaurant provided an excellent NYE dinner and some great local wine, and for an hour or so around midnight, I watched thousands of fireworks displays down below me. In the distance the big public display in Ljubliana was just visible too. On New Year's Day - after a very good breakfast - I strolled down the hill to the station, determined to visit again.

There's nothing that I didn't like. It's worth saying that I didn't see a taxi at the station when I arrived, so for those who don't want to walk up the hill (it's a regular pilgrimage for locals but wouldn't be good with a wheelie suitcase!) it might be worth prebooking a taxi, perhaps through the hote.

More than excellent location with panoramic view, very friendly staff, very good breakfas (not included in basic price), restaurant on site wih simple menu, but excellent meals.

No Air Condition in the room, just a fan. Some maintenance of the room (bathroom, balcony) would be appreciated. No elevator - can be important issue for persons with compromised mobility.
