There's definitely something magic about this place. Perhaps, because it's said to be located in the place of an ancient Mithraism shrine :) It has a very light, relaxing, cosy atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and give you the vibe of a well-maintained family villa. I absolutely loved the selection of pillows, all feather-light. And it's the rare case for the hotel accommodation where pictures on the walls are worth your attention. Service is friendly and flexible. It's lovely when staff is ready to accommodate guests' little requests. Yes, and the location is top. 5 minutes walk to the castle and also located in the oldest street in town. I definitely plan to be back to enjoy the place, including waking up and listening to the birds singing in the hotel's little garden and meditating over a cup of coffee in their own historical cafe :)

One can wish to have a bigger shower cabin in the bathroom but it's a minor thing as long as it was fully functional :)

Very friendly front desk and bar employees. I was impressed to find slippers in my room (it is a 3 star property). And also service from the bar was very friendly and attentive, they brought me drinks to the interior courtyard which is very pleasant. Hotel is very charming and tries to bring you back in time and the classical music playing is very nice touch. Room has large bathroom.

Wi-Fi was not working in the room and speed was quite slow. I was also missing a bottle of water or minibar since the fridge was in the room. Some of the equipment in the room was not working (safe box and telephone) which are a minor inconvenience. And also room was on the smaller side but the positive side is that the bathroom was large.

Very nice environment and surroundings of the hotel, romantic location under the castle in the city center. Pleasant environment of the hotel, seating on the indoor terrace. Clean and air conditioned rooms, well equipped. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, if we ever visit this area again I will choose this hotel again.

The only small drawback is the limited parking options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. There are only a few spots near the hotel, with additional parking further away from the hotel in the parking lot under the castle.

Breakfast well provided with tasty scrambled eggs and bacon prepared on demand, flavoured crêpes, fresh dairy . The garden area at first floor was nice and all flowers bloomed just created a special atmosphere . All was 👍. Nice and welcoming staff. I recommend a long stay to visit the nearest Terme and vinery area or just to relax by a calm town

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Mitra. It is a beautiful hotel in the centre of historic Ptuj with comfortable rooms and a lovely spa. What truly sets it apart though is the warmth and friendliness of its staff! The team are utterly charming and could not have been more helpful and hospitable. I would thoroughly recommend a visit and look forward to my next stay!

The location is perfect, the hotel lobby and especially the garden on the 1st floor are really stylish and very pleasent. Having a glass of wine there in the evening is a wonderful end of the day!

There are problems with parking, and try to avoid the 3rd floor - the rooms there have tiny windows that can be opened only if you climb on a chair and desk.

Beautiful place, as Ptuj. Lots of history in the walls. Lots od space in apartment, good breakfast, helpful stuff, good cofee and wine

Aircon at room is in not good shape. It’s old. Lot’s of mosquito 🦟 due to the many mosquitoes and the lack of screens on the windows the room was stuffy, the bathroom has seen its best days

This hotel was so charming with lots of history and ancient artifacts, including a large one that was part of the original building enclosed in glass right in our room! They have a cool little wine cellar and tasting area. There is a pretty courtyard to have a coffee or glass of wine. It is a 5 minute walk to everything in this town, and there was a free parking space available. The rooms are clean, air conditioned and comfortable. Overall an excellent stay!

Nothing really. Might be a bit noisy with open windows facing the street from the bar across. But then - you are in the middle of the beautiful town. So - everything okey.

The location was excellent, walking distance to everything, the little bar downstairs was very pleasant with a nice ambience. The hotel has a lot of old Austrian character..

Parking was limited, but that is to be expected in old town, pedestrian zone situation.
