You’re going to think it’s weird but… I always wanted to try a South African Sun 1, in Belgium we call them Formul 1, just to compare and I can clearly say that the South African version is even better (private bathroom was so lekker!!!). For me those hotels are synonyms of beginning of vacation, when you stop for the night along the road on your way to Holliday, and that was clearly that warm and comfy feeling from my childhood I had at Sun 1! Not disappointed at all. Comfy place, clean, adorable staff, quiet,… I’ve nothing negative to say.

I didn't have high expectations because the establishment is a 2-star facility. But I was very pleasantly surprised! The place is clean, quiet, comfortable and was very convenient for our needs. I would definitely recommend Sun1 Benoni to anyone who's going to a funeral or some other occasion in the nearby townships of the East Rand, and needs a comfortable place to crash. There are no frills, bells and whistles, but it's definitely more than a decent place, especially if you don't even need to have breakfast.

The only two issues were: the lack of backup power during loadshedding and the fact that our shower (room 224 or 225, not sure because we occupied 2 rooms) was not clean. It didn't drain properly even as we were using it in the morning while rushing to leave for the funeral. We'd have to wait a few minutes before the next person could use it, and this was a rather frustrating delay. I hope the plumbing problem has been fixed.

I love Sun1, it is very refreshing, I am always able to sit outside and have beautiful moments. I like where it is situated, because peering over the window from upstairs, I just like the view. The staff is friendly and understanding. The rooms are clean and everything of convenience is there. It is great value for money, and I am grateful❤️

The other time I was there, on the 04th of December, there were very noisy guests during the night, and it just disturbed the serenity. It would be great if such guests are attended to, so that they tone it down. Because there was running and stamping as if someone if jumping up and down again and again. I think there were also kids.

Was 1.2 km from the start of the marathon we competed in, we walked there the morning. We could leave our cars in the parking lot till after the race, thank you.

Not your fault, but some guests are just rude and make in a noise very late in the evening. Maybe security can step in and ask them to respect other guests.

i liked the clenliness of the room. location is exceptional as the hotel is right next to the N12 freeway.

to tell you the honest truth, i would not have something this perfect altered.. i liked everything about the place and i will make sure that i book there next time i come to gauteng.

They do not serve food but the environment was very conducive and safe

the ventilation in the corridor was poor with smells from other occupancies

I did not take breakfast. the Location is fine. I t was easily accessible for me.

No electricity sometimes. Stand by generator may help.
