Our room was on the 3rd floor facing the marina. Very nice view. A small balcony for 2 is adequate for enjoying the sunset. The cleaning service was excellent, and we returned to a faultless clean room every afternoon.

Airconditioning is high on my list of requirements. The first room allocated to us was in a section which was under renovation. We were moved to another wing with a working air-conditioning system. We were thankful for this. The bed was not as comfortable as expected. The breakfast is a total letdown. The cold section was average, and I found each morning that the bread started drying out. The hot section was not appetising at all. With exception, the lady at the grill was very friendly and the cheese omelette was up to standard. I took the cheese omelette because the fillings looked very greasy. I am not a fussy eater, but the breakfast buffet can do so much better.

It was a very nice looking room. Has a very nice spa we got the 30 min back massage and it was very lekker.

there was a crack in the bathroom which you dont expect from a 4 star hotel we looked at having their breakfast but it was completely buffet with dry looking eggs, we went during quite time so i would think we could order from a menu so it would be fresh but no. we had dinner one evening with the Chefs special and my mine was completely different to my partners. the gym is open till 21:00 but the pool closes by 18:00 so if you gym in the evening you cant go for a swim after. they say they have a fridge with amenities included in your stay but then when you arrive, they say they no longer do that

My recent stay was elevated to an extraordinary experience with an exceptional room upgrade. The shower and bathtub were nothing short of luxurious, offering a perfect retreat after a long day. The room itself was incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, creating an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. The service throughout my stay was excellent, consistently meeting and exceeding my expectations. One of the highlights was the complimentary coffee and tea service. The quality was outstanding, with premium coffee pods and fine tea selections that truly enhanced my mornings.

Overall, my experience was positive, with only a few minor concerns. The kitchen staff appeared to be somewhat disorganized. Despite specific instructions from Patience to prepare Halaal omelettes on a separate pan, the initial preparation was done on a non-Halaal frying pan. It also seemed that the waitstaff were a bit unclear on the management's instructions, leading to some delays and confusion in service. Fortunately, Aziza eventually stepped in and personally prepared and served the Halaal omelette separately, which was appreciated. With a bit more coordination, this issue could easily be resolved.

The location is perfect. Room size and Bed was ok Welcoming staff Good food

-Most disappointing thing is WI-FI it’s like it doesn’t even exist. Very poor quality. -We had room facing the sandy beach 🏖️ and the wind is terrible. They should have warned us… some nights you couldn’t sleep due to strong winds noises. -we also missed the Xmas “party” organized by the hotel for its guests because they never communicated to us. -Elevator break downs was very common

I loved everything about the hotel. From the room to the views and breakfast. It was excellent.

The fact that housekeeping kept on wanting to clean our room before check out which was at 11am only, did we not get the memo or were they up to something else... It seemed as if they wanted us early out of the room which isn't really nice.... The air con was on warm the whole time we couldn't even change it to a cooler setting. And the toilet doors kept on jam locking which was a concerned becuase we our child with us as well... So yes... Small things but it just really didn't sit right with us. Above all the stay was excellent Thank you.

The room was lovely. The decor could be a bit warmer/friendlier, but that also might be personal preference. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, and the view was great. We asked for a sea view, and we got that with the sea being just a parking lot away from our balcony.

The front entrance of the hotel could do with some repairs as its looks VERY dated with missing panels in the glass and very weathered. There are 2 sinks in the bathroom. The newer of the 2 is great, but the old one is VERY old with mold and dirt in the seals. Could definitely use some re-grouting/silicone'ing.

Firstly the Setting of the hotel at harbour island is unique .The hotel has views of the beach and Helderberg mountains on one side and views of the marina village of the other.The staff are friendly and very helpful. The reception area dining area and deck with the waterfall curtain wall create an ambient feeling when arriving there is also an art gallery with local art on display . The rooms are spacious ,they have carefully chosen interior finishes with beautiful bathrooms with walk in type showers.The rooms have great views of the beach to the onside and pool deck and marina on the other side. The pool deck is fantastic and conveniently located with wonderful sunny views of the marina.The pool was crystal clear and sparkly blue . The gym looks down onto the pooldeck and is more than adequate for a quick workout before a swim. The hotel is located above just4 africa scuba .The scuba shop do courses in the hotel pool for children such as bubble makers and can arrange dives at various dive sites around capetown for qualified divers Finally the hotel is great value for money due to its location outside the capetown CBD in Gordons bay . It cost around 75 euro per adult (children stay free).It is brilliant value for money compared to the hotels in Capetown waterfront.

On the down side the room was a bit chilly on a late winters August evening in Capetown as the french doors onto the balcony only have single glazed units thus there is a substantial amount of heat loss from the room. The ac unit is not really sufficient to heat the room so if the temperature drops and a storm blows in be prepared to put on your warm clothes .This is a common problem in Cape hotels which have a mainly summer tourist season. The pool water is unheated by solar so if visiting off season the pool water is a bit chilly.

Ash at reception was very switched on, friendly, helpful and displayed utmost professionalism whilst getting the check-ins done as quick as was possible.

*The beds are way too small. *The tiles in the shower are a death trap when wet - they are very slippery and a health risk. (law suit waiting to happen) *Had supper & breakfast in big restaurant - never salt & pepper cellars on all tables (had to get up and look for myself) and the service for the Saturday night birthday meal was super slow - waited an hour for 3 meals. As a suggestion relook your menu variety. Breakfast variety was spectacular but pastries were not asfresh as they should be.

I cannot begin to explain what a delight it was to be here. Helpful staff and front desk. We had an issue with the toilet and immediately someone was available to help. The room we got was super spacious with a spacious shower and jacuzzi tub. The facilities were top tier. Crystal clear pool, fully stocked gym, a bar and many restaurants nearby. The alcohol is only served around 11am if I remember correctly so keep that in mind if you want an early mimosa or cocktail on holiday. The breakfast buffet was glorious and my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. Proximity to beaches and restaurant options make it perfect to never leave the premises. And very important: they have options for loadshedding that switch over the power almost immediately - which was great for our aircon needs. The aircon was really amazing on those hot summer days! Cannot WAIT to come back!

Everything was on point from the staff to the rooms and the breakfast was excellent variety of foods to choose from defnitely had an amazing weekend shout out to the lady in charge of the breakfast in the morning always ready to assist and to Micheala for being an awesome host at the reception area will defnitely return well done to all the staff for an amazing beautiful stunning location and service
