We stayed there for eight days and during that time everyone there made us feel very welcome. They eagerly helped with things like dinner reservations and other tourism suggestions, hints, and tips. The staff went above and beyond what is normally expected when we needed help dealing with an unfortunate experience during our stay (which had nothing at all to do with the hotel). Each member of the staff extended their kindness towards us throughout our stay (Bina, Christian, and Ellack at the front desk, Martha in the dining room, and Paul, the owner of the hotel). As a gay couple we look for gay-friendly accommodations and found the One 8 Hotel listed in the local Pride guide.

We’re in our 60s, so this may not be a problem for most people, but we would have liked some brighter or additional light in the bathroom especially since we wanted to shave at night.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The hotel was very well signposted and we had no trouble finding it. The rooms are very large and have balconies. We lacked nothing in terms of equipment. Christian, one of the hotel staff, was kind enough to act as our guide for an afternoon exploring the city. It was so nice of him to take us to see the different points of interest in the city and explain everything to us.

Although it was very nice to have a private parking lot, it was relatively small and difficult to maneuver. The pool and Jacuzzi were not very clean. But I think the storm a few days before our arrival was probably to blame.

Friendly staff, good breakfast and very clean throughout. we arrived early and were able to park the car securely before our room was ready, allowing us to make the best use of our time while there. We liked we could walk to the Waterfront and a taxi back to the hotel later on was not expensive.

There could have been a couple more sunbeds by the pool, but space was quite restricted.

Friendly, attentive staff, comfortable pool area. Very good security All requests and queries were dealt with very promptly. Great location between Seapoint and town within walking distance of the Promenade, the gym restaurants and shops.

Would have liked a mini fridge in the room as well as more bathroom rails to hang up wet towels

It was an immediate booking as we needed to leave the previously booked hotel due to some unacceptable circumstances. They were welcoming and very flexible when we arrived in the middle of the night. The room is nice and quite big, the bathroom has shower and bathtub as well with amenities. Breakfast is good as well and they were flexible to serve us a bit earlier than they open the breakfast originally.

The room is a bit humid when it is raining but not a big issue

Cleaner and. spacious room, staff were exceptional- friendly and helpful! It felt like a home away from home. Great location, maximum 10 minutes in a taxi to the V&A waterfront depending on traffic. Good selection for breakfast. Pool area was lovely. Grounds felt very secure. Would happily stay here again

I liked the atmosphere in the hotel, it is friendly and comfortable. The staff is affable. Nice and comfortable furniture. The place is safe. Also at the reception I got the adapter to charge my gadgets. The breakfast doesn't offer many choices but it was good and tasty.

The safe didn't work in my room, but I didn't need it (just keep in mind or ask to change the battery). Also you couldn't use the pool (at least when I stayed), if it is important for you. But you can ask for jacuzzi

Everything was perfect, from welcome to extended our stay. Location is great and safe, staff members are lovely and you can tell they care about their guests and property. Beds are comfortable, cleaning is on spot, breakfast is a very small buffet, but there was everything, fruits, cereals, some cold cuts & cheese, they make eggs on request how you wish and it doesnt take a long time. They also suggest and book you tours if you wish and organise taxi service to and from airport. We stayed in a room with a balcony, perfect it was. We left for one day to Safari Reserve and they kept our luggage safe, so because of that we extended stay for 3 more nights in different room type. Thank you for everything.

The room was perfect, very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great location. We asked for a room with a pool view and were able to see the sea so it was lovely sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down. Breakfast was great although we would have liked to see more non-cooked options.

The pool and hot tub weren’t very clean. The balcony furniture could do with an upgrade.

Generally pretty good hotel and car parking ok the street is a bit tight, location ok bit out of main area, room fine balcony ok bathroom very good also small lounge area, liked sitting outside at b-fast with good service and food.

A little awkward getting car parked room wee bit on small side but comfortable..
