My stay at Hyatt House Rosebank was exceptional. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The staff were brilliant, incredibly friendly, professional, helpful, and always happy, regardless of the shift. Special requests for a crib and adjacent rooms were accommodated perfectly, making our stay even more comfortable. The ladies at the restaurant/dining area were amazing, helping with my 7-month-old baby and keeping him busy as we ate, which my wife and I will forever appreciate. The breakfast was delightful with a wide variety of options to choose from. Everything was fresh, and the quality of food was excellent. The service during breakfast was also top-notch, and the food on the a la carte menu was excellent. The smell of the lobby speaks luxury and class! The location was perfect and safe, providing easy access to various attractions and amenities, with plenty of parking space and convenience for Ubers with a pram/car seat. The friendly staff, especially Mr. Blessings at the front desk, made us feel at home even though we were far from home. This was my second stay at the Hyatt House, the first for work and this time for a family holiday. The rooms were clean and spacious, with the air conditioning keeping the room warm during the cold season (July). The TV channel selection was great for the days we decided to sit in, and the Wi-Fi worked well at all times, regardless of which part of the hotel we were at. I highly recommend Hyatt House Rosebank to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Johannesburg.

The only issue was that Booking.com didn't include tax in the booking, which caught me off guard at checkout. It would be helpful to have all costs included upfront.

The location is amazing, a 5 min walk from the Rosebank Gautrain station. The property is very well maintained and the staff extremely kind and professional.

The first night the aircon did not work and it was extremely hot (unbearable hot). The next morning I asked the aircon to be fixed and at the reception the guys told me that it was going to be fixed before my return. When I got back, the room was still unbearably hot. After a couple of reminders and visits to the reception they changed my room. I think they could have handled this better.

Lovely room with a balcony and a kitchen that's just enough. Dinner at the restaurant was perfection with fair pricing. The breakfast was lovely and it is great that they are halaal certified. 24 hour convenience store for almost anything you may need.

Petty but important. Long wait for check in but the staff was pleasant. The room had only two bath towels. The basin is very tiny and the tap is ridiculous. I read that in a previous review and didn't think much of it until I had to use it. I am not one for a mirror but the room desperately needs a mirror besides the tiny one at the dresser.

The location and room were great. The hotel is five minutes from Holiday Inn where the hop-on hop-off bus route starts. Also, it's minutes away from Rosebank where the business area is. The room was beautiful and spacious with everything I needed. Full marks for the location and room. The hotel itself is tucked in a beautiful lane (which could be good or bad in Johannesburg depending on the time of day)

Service was hit-and-miss. When I arrived, the receptionist told me the room wasn't ready and asked me to return later. I suggested storing my luggage and completing check-in, but he did not offer this. On the other hand, the people at the reception on the second day were quite helpful. Food in the restaurant took a long time, and the service was poor. My room, located above the restaurant, had the annoying lounge music come through.

1) Breakfast was good. 2) The location is in a reasonable walk from Rosebank Train station and the market. 3) The staff were helpful. 4) The in-room kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave, etc.) were really useful.

1) The in-room desk was not suitable for working, but I tried the dining area (outside of meal hours). 2) There is only one lift and no stairs (except for fire escape) which sometimes slows you down especially when you are on level 1.

Good rooms with a reasonably furnished mini kitchen. The rooms looked very modern. Loved the addition of a muslim prayer room and qibla signals in the room ceiling. The breakfast selection was good. A very well stocked mini store on the ground floor with cheap prices (by hotel standards). The gym was lacking a bit of equipment but overall a really good one for a hotel.

Location. It wasn't very far from Rosebank Shopping Centre, but you had to take an Uber because the walk to get there was through small alleys and streets that could really scare you, even during early evening.

Breakfast was Lovely, both hot and cold options. Be away with the fake pancakes and that machine maker. Allow the chefs talent to shine by being made in-house. 2min walk to Rosebank shopping mall, what a treat!. Upmarket eateries and grocery shopping, Very reasonably priced. Thank you Hyatt House Johannesburg!.

One particular waiter I found to be quite arrogant. It had an ego and terrible attitude as high as Kilimanjaro. Very unfortunate. The rest of the staff were Respectful at all times.

This is a hidden gem, a short block away from popular and busy Rosebank Mall. It's a smaller hotel, tucked away from the bigger hotels, so it's quiet and cosy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable with lots of natural light. The little restaurant offered a nice selection of dishes.

The bathroom was fine but did seem to be designed more for businessmen; e.g. not sufficient lighting above vanity, only an overhead rain shower head.

There was a miscommunication about a special request between my booking on Bookings.com and Hyatt House. Zandi and the manager on duty on my arrival went well out of their way to rectify this quickly and most professionally. I enjoyed breakfast daily: the food was amazing and guests didn't have to queue or wait for ages to get their food. Very personalised service all round. Hyatt House is also great for those wanting some privacy without the constant hustle and bustle of a hotel or housekeeping knocking on your door at 08:00. You can rest, relax, work, come and go with ease and still enjoy the benefit of having the housekeeping service at your fingertips, the restaurant facilities, extra accessories like a hairdryer plug etc. The location of Hyatt House is also very central to the Rosebank CBD. It is within walking distance of The Zone, where there is a SPAR, a Clicks, fast food places and other shops that will interest travelers. It's also within walking distance of other conference and business facilities where business travelers may be attending work events. There are security guards stationed along the walking route from Hyatt House to Rosebank CBD which makes it safe and comfortable to get around without a car in the day. The Gautrain busses and station are also easily accessible from Hyatt House.

I have two suggestions only: 1) get a bigger dustbin for the rooms especially because its self-catering. The tiny dustbin in the room fills up with two water bottles, and it isn't suitable for discarding packaging from meat, fruit skins or anything that attracts insects because it doesn't have a lid. 2) Educate guests on arrival or via a printout in the room on the operations of Hyatt House. For first time guests, the hybrid offering of self-catering apartments with some hotel services is unfamiliar - also the times of the restaurant operating hours, info on any gym facilities or facilities in the area, house rules etc. would be helpful.

Very nicely appointed room. I only stayed one night as I was passing through but definitely set up for folks staying longer with kitchenette. Rooftop terrace is lovely with a pool and loungers. I had other breakfast plans so only took a little of buffet but looked good. Short walking distance to major shopping and restaurants. I am not Muslim but noticed the accommodations for Muslim guests so it seems like a comfortable place if you practice Islam.

Reception staff were helpful but only when asked. It would have been nice to have been informed about facilities and restaurant hours at check in. Basically the porter took me up to my room and left. The air conditioning was not effective in keeping room cool.
