It is not often that one's expectations are met, from check in to exit. Our bookings were done very late in the night. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. As fate would have it, the region was thrown a curve ball in the form of loadshedding but the manager and staff made sure that all clients were taken care of, moreover we who came late in the night. We were able to take a shower before sleeping which was much appreciated as it was loadshedding. Thank you to the wonderful smiles and kindness at front desk. The property is well looked after and the food is exceptional. The rooms are comfortable and neat. The feedback loop after booking online is exceptional; few minutes after booking we were already getting real time valuable information from front desk.

Please consider to install stair grip(Anti-Slip) that's more permanent or maintain the Anti-Slip tape on the wooden stairs as they are very slippery when wet

Location was perfect and the facilities right on the property great (fishing from bank, braai spots, pool, boma) and the garden lovely. Staff are friendly, helpful and assisted with any requests we made. The unit we were in was large and comfortable. with plenty cupboards for a family. We stayed at the Spotted Grunter for 2 nights, but this is a ideal place for a longer stay too. The town is very interested and we really enjoyed exploring the surrounds. A trip to the airfield at the top of the mountain to see the amazing views is a must. Other interesting spots to visit are The Gap/Blowhole, the Lighthouse and pop into the museum to see a little of the history of the town

Cork screw not supplied, but restaurant was happy to help us out :-) We have travelled quite a bit and this is the first time we have stayed in a self catering unit that supplied washing liquid but nothing to wash and dry dishes ... so bring cloths/scourers with you. Cupboards smelt very musty/damp and needed airing out - maybe just be this particular unit though. The curtain over door is very flimsy and see through.

The staff are lovely, from the receptionist to the waitresses- so very friendly. The rooms are quaint and the views are spectacular! A gem in Port St Johns.

There is some ambient street noise at night.

Used by a lot of business people and my neighbour was making loud phone calls at 4am - but apparently she apologised at the front desk on checkout so all good!

This trip was much better. The room was clean bedding clean I have no complaints. Thanks to booking.com my stay was good. All was in order. Dinner & breakfast was buffet and very tasty.

Not really accommodating for solo travelers when you guys have group bookings. One can really feel out of place. Please pay attention to that. Next time i might come with a group

Tv was not working. They need to have all brochure of local activities and contact numbers, make things easy for guest.
