Free loan of big inflatable rings for in the sea. Close to shops & restaurants including great Japanese restaurant. Convenient for lake, and for Gangneung k pop/k drama taxi tour, & historical tour. Helpful staff. Extremely good value. Recommended.

Nothing. All good. No breakfast but that's normal for mid range hotels here. Lots of coffee shops so can bring back coffee & breakfast to the room or eat at cafe.

The location was fantastic, literally just across from the beach with convenience stores and eateries around. Although we didn't book a room with an ocean view, the lake view was pretty too! The room was big and comfortable, but I wished they had better/newer hair dryers. Hotel staff were also very sweet as they gave guests a box of chocolates for the New Year.

The room's sound proofing could be better, as you could hear the sounds from the corridor.

The location was the best part, literally a straight walk out the door onto the beach. Plus there were many great restaurants around the area. The staff were very nice and very helpful, a group of chatty nice guys! This place is pretty much my go-to for going to Gangneung/Gyeongpo

I did notice there was always a small thing wrong with each room I was in, first was the sensor light that was broken. Then the broken tiles on the second room, then one of the bed side lights on the third. To be honest I wasn't really fussed as i loved the place so much, but it was noticeable.

The front desk staff was nice. Housekeeping ladies who cleaned glass doors on the 1st floor were also friendly. Liked quality of amenities in the bathroom, sea view, clean rooms, heating system (thanks, it wasn't central system like in other hotels!). Also, the hotel offered cheap prices despite the weekends. Highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was very nice. However, when I came back to pick up my luggage, there was a manager at the front desk. I told him in Korean that I left my bag and politely asked to give it back, but he looked confused and a bit impolite even though I'm ethical Korwan and speak very good, polite Korean. I don't think that workers in the service sector can look irritated when speaking to guests.

Neat and clean finishings. Room was serviced and toiletries replaced daily. Slippers and towelling gown provided or request if not already in room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good location. 7-Eleven convenience store opposite, short walk to beach, river and main street with a line of restaurants maps of Gangneung and tourist brochures provided at reception which were very helpful for planning activities. Great view from the room. Double windows that open with a filter for insects. Kettle and mugs in room with bottled water in mini fridge provided. A common microwave for the floor. Good pressure, comfortable shower, hot water and spacious bathroom. Besides the vanity table with a mirror and chair, there was also a small table and 2 couch chairs.

With the connected floor and glass seperator not touching ground, water from shower tends to wet almost half the bathroom floor.

The location was excellent, right in front of the beach. Within walking distance to key places. Get the ocean balcony room, it’s worth it, Rooms are very spacious and staff are friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a place I would return to. Safe location and good for solo travellers. Seeing the sun rise from my balcony was a highlight of this stay. There is coffee and free ice water downstairs in addition to few bottles In The room fridge. Thanks for such a great stay.

This hotel deserves its average rating above 8. In the off season, the town was quiet. The ocean front room was large, clean, and adequately equipped. The room’s simplicity reminded me a bit of a Japanese ryokan, attaining a certain elegance through minimalism. The ocean view from our balcony was spectacular.

There was a hot/cold water purifier in the hallway and an espresso machine by the check in desk. It was nice to walk to the beach, and there was a foot washing station in the parking lot.

The check-in was a little stressful and not at all welcoming. Partly because of the language barrier, but I explained over and over again that I had booked 2 rooms, and showed my confirmation on the Booking app, and he didn't want to give me keys for both rooms until after I paid and he finally looked closer. It was weird. The air conditioner also drained the condensation into a hole in the wall in the bathroom, so the floor was always wet.

We had the triple room with balcony sea view which was spacious and had a wonderful view of the ocean! I would probably choose one without the balcony next time though to be on one of the higher floors and since there was no balcony furniture to take advantage of it anyway. The beds were just right in terms of firmness and softness (imho). The staff was kind and helpful. There was plenty of parking and it was very close to Gyeongpoho Lake. It's a wonderful location!

It's not a big deal but some parts of the floor were peeling. We could hear the next door neighbor's tv (but maybe they had it one very loudly) since we couldn't hear noise from the hallway at all.
