I truly like the fact that it was a quiet place. The kindness of the host makes me feel comfortable for a first time hanok experience I also liked cleanliness of the room (we can also see with some details that the room was used by other people but it's clean so I was happy). I also liked the space of the room. I would like to renew this kind of experience but with more options even if it could cost more expensive

In NaverMap when I wrote "Hanok Hyeyum" it showed me another place near the real place but I was very ashamed to be lost and to have found the wrong place... Fortunately the host was present to help me. Perhaps the problem came from me or from the address written on the NaverMap application.

Heated floor is such a comfort in winter. Toilet is very clean and well-maintained. Host is very friendly and helpful. We were given complimentary morning snacks which we appreciated very much. Enjoyed the experience of living in a traditional house. Liked the overall vibes and cosy atmosphere of the whole hanok house.

Sound proofing wasn't ideal; we could hear our neighbours talking. The intermittent motor sound from the fridge was disturbing for a light sleeper. Ear plugs would solve the issue though. The following are our suggestions: The room lacked shelves to put our belongings. Although we could place our items on the floor, the floor is heated and is not ideal for charging phones / camera. The room could do with more hangers / hooks.

The location of this hanok is simply amazing. It's located right in the middle of the traditional village. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and gave us a small Korean breakfast every morning. This really is a unique traditional stay. Next to our hanok were other rooms where both tourist aswell as locals stayed. The vibe was cosy but not too crowded. Perfect if you're looking for a real Korean experience.

The bathroom is very small and the bed is a traditional futon which obviously isn't as comfortable as a bed in a four star hotel. But this is just part of the experience. Overall we slept well and managed in the little space.

This place is great! The staff is incredibly kind, and the location is the village is perfect. It has a beautiful garden and is right in the center of the Hanok village. The heated floors are a huge plus too. My mother who is in her 60s enjoyed the stay, but for those who are older a longer stay of sleeping on the floor is maybe a harder ask. We both thought the experience was well worth it and Lee and the other staff members were very helpful and kind!

No dislikes of the property, but make sure to have the address downloaded or saved in Korean on your phone to show the taxi driver. Mine wouldn't load in the moment, but I was able to message and call the property and they answered immediately.

The house is everything you wish for from a traditional hanok experience, it truly lives up to the expectation. What made our trip even more outstanding was Mr. Lee and his wife, whose hospitality was simply amazing! They went above and beyond to cater for us and our two children, had great tips and suggestions for things to do and how to enjoy the most of our days (and evenings) and will do everything to make their guests experiences the best possible. If you are considering a hanok stay in Jeonju, I can not stress enough how much you need to go for this one!!!

Our recent stay at a beautiful hanok in Jeonju was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by the warm hospitality of Mr. Lee, the owner. The hanok itself was stunning—preserving traditional Korean architecture while offering modern comforts, perfect for relaxing and immersing oneself in the rich cultural history of the area. What truly set this stay apart, however, was Mr. Lee's exceptional attitude. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. His warm smile and genuine interest in ensuring that we had the best experience were evident in every interaction. Mr. Lee was really knowledgeable about Jeonju and took the time to offer personalized recommendations based on our preferences. His attention to detail and thoughtfulness made my stay incredibly smooth and enjoyable. Mr. Lee’s dedication to his guests' comfort was truly remarkable. If you're looking for an authentic hanok experience in Jeonju with the added bonus of impeccable service and hospitality, I cannot recommend Mr. Lee’s hanok enough. It was a perfect blend of tradition, comfort, and heartwarming hospitality.

Our room was clean and comfortable with floor heating as well as AC options. We loved the traditional settings, with beddings on the floor. The owner is very thoughtful, friendly, and helpful. He was there to recieve and see us off. He even made bfast for us even though it was not part of the package. I really appreciated that. He also gives you recommendations for restaurants which we enjoyed alot. The outside/garden area is well maintained. Its location is close to the hanok village but also away from all the noise. All in all this stay is a dream hanok stay. It was absolutely worth close to 4hrs by bus from incheon airport.

This hanok is even more beautiful than you expect. It was an amaizing experience to try it. The room was super clean, the bathroom is very basic, but it is impressive that they made the effort to build in a private bathroom fir every room, which makes the stay very confortable. The garden is also beautiful and it is very relaxing just to sit there with a tea. The location is top, you can discover the whole hanok village on foot, the local market is about 5-10 minutes walking distance as well as the most famous restaurants. Despite of the central location, the hanok was very quiet all day and night. Highly recommended.

The room is clean and well-kept. The heating system is good enough to keep one warm in the cold winter nights. The room is small but cosy for a family of four. People who are used to sleeping on beds may need a bit time to adjust to sleeping on floor with the korean mattress. But for me, no problem. Mr Lee, the hanok owner is extremely hospitable and patient to explain to us the must-go and must-eat. He helped us make taxi booking on our departure day to bring us to the Jeonju station. (This is necessary as we didn't download any korean taxi grab app). He was kind enough to pack some snacks for my children while on the train ride to Seoul. Hyeyum is centrally located within the hanok village, a stone's throw from various places of interest including nambu market.

If only thr mattresses could be slightly thicker but it is a minor issue. Jeonju is a nice and slow moving place. We didn't have enough time to explore thoroughly as we went on day trips to Gungsan and other places. Hope to go back in the near future.

The building is so beautiful! It is so cool and unique to sleep in an actual Hanok house. The floor is warm which is so nice when it's cold outside. I loved it! The bed was surprisingly comfortable. I had an amazing sleep. Location is superb, everything is in walking distance. Host was kind and friendly.

The only thing I didn't like was the shower or lack there of. There is no real showercabin, just the showerhead. You can shower with the showerhead but there is nowhere to put it on the wall to wash your hair. A bit challenging but I managed. It was okay.
