The hotel was very comfortable, great facilities and a lovely breakfast for only 8 euro. The roof terrace was gorgeous especially as you could bring your own drinks! We tried the pool which was FREEZING but good fun!!!! The hotel was very central close to everything but very quiet. Would definitely stay again. Recommend the Mar de Gloria restaurant for exceptional food and Arte de Tapas too. The Moorish Castle was extraordinary and the neolithic sites just outside Antequera well worth a visit with a very interesting museum. The Museo de la Ciudad was fabulous right next door to the hotel. All the sites were free!

Nothing!

The location is central to the town and you have a beautiful vista just 5min walk up the hill from the place. Parking is also nearby and you can park the car for few minutes right beside the hotel to drop off your belongings. Square right beside it is lit all night long and looks quite nice. We visited off season so unfortunately I cannot say much about the pool on rooftop but it looked nice.

Although location is central and seemingly by a small road it gets very busy around school time to the point where it is best not to drive around. It is also used all night long, best to grab a set of earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Nothing excessive though. Public car park might look a bit unsafe but we didn't leave anything in the car and didn't have any issues either. Hotel itself is a quite basic in terms of breakfast and facilities but having said that it has all you need for a night's stay and the staff is very welcoming.

location, room, pool, everything was great the room was kept spotless, every day, and the view was great, to, plus mini bar/fridge was stocked each day , and was free!!!, also tea/coffee making in room, what more could you want from a really good priced hotel in the middle of a beautiful town, in Spain ? We had meals out as you could eat breakfast and dinner nearby, in some nice restaurants, so we can't comment on the breakfast etc. Also plenty of FREE parking a few minutes from hotel.

the air conditioning could have been colder, as it was 38 degrees plus and the aircon could not be set in the room, this really is the only SLIGHT gripe we had with our stay

The hotel is in the old part of town and very accessible to the Moorish castle (a steep climb on stone steps), very good restaurants and bodegas. Our air-conditioned room was a good size with very nice en-suite facilities. The large double bed was supremely comfortable with excellent pillows (not always the case when away from home). The small rooftop pool was great to come back to after a day's sightseeing. A lovely way to cool down and then relax on the loungers and chairs beneath the parasols. Breakfast was the standard continental fare with very good & varied bread and coffee. Fresh fruit and cake was available. All the staff, from reception to domestics were very polite and helpful. The minibar was always kept stocked with beers, cokes & bottled water. Milk was available on request from reception.

Breakfast was lovely, typical Spanish buffet, the food was of good quality and quantity. Waitress provided the drinks was quick, polite and cheerful. The breakfast room was clean fresh and light. Whilst the room was very clean and fresh it was plain and lacked character, this wasn’t a problem and I know others wouldn’t worry and in no way is a criticism of the hotel, as a base for exploring it is ideal as the hotel is in a good position.

The hotel advertises that it has ’parking ’ which is a stretch as it fails to mention its in a public car park a good walk away. Fit folk wouldn’t have a problem but the less mobile would not like to have a trek pulling suitcases behind them.

Reception is off the street. Up a ramp and through the electric glass door. Reception is small but clean and shiny. Friendly, helpful receptionists. Free sucky sweets! Downstairs is the breakfast room and a courtyard. Breakfast is good. Plenty of it and good quality. Bedroom is big enough for two with a big comfortable double bed with crisp clean white bedding. Two bedside cabinets with lighting over. A chair, table/desk. Kettle and tea/coffee. Fridge with free drinks - water, soft drinks and beer! Safe. Good aircon. Wardrobe. Two sets of large doors to a Juliet balcony; stand on only. Overlooks a church and a bit of the square. Shower room is good. Very clean with bidet and toilet. Sink and mirror and shaving/makeup mirror. Shower cubicle is a good size. Shower good. Toiletries and plenty of good towels. Outside is a walkway to a very nice pool area. Disabled access with stairlift and hoist. Pool and water good. Clean with umbrellas and loungers. Lovely views. Really very nice. Antequera is a very nice town. Lots to see and do. Some impressive architecture. Literally across left from the hotel is a popular square with four restaurants and lots of tables and chairs. The restaurant are very good. Good hotel and good value. Definitely would stay again.

Complaints? You can’t ‘throw wipe paper down the toilet‘.

Our Deluxe Double Room with Castle View was really nice considering it in older buildings of a small town. There was view to the Castle in one side with a terrace and view to a lovely town square on the other side with balconies. The sunset view of the town from the balconies was beautiful. The room was large and clean with comfy bed with basics, such as coffee machine. the good size bathroom had both shower and tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And thanks for the goodies in the minibar. The whole experience was better than expected. My relative stayed in a smaller room and it was comfy, but she said the view wasn't as good as the deluxe room. So if you are a view person, it's worth getting the Castle View Room with a terrace!

The parking lot-a bit far and quite dusted but understandable in an older town, plus free. Note: no problem stopping right in front of the hotel while check-in and out. A recommendation: a "how to" note for the window curtain operation would be helpful.

Booked this a little late yet the staff helped change from single double bed to two single beds which was our preference. Located just minutes from the Alcazaba (historical castle) as well as the small city center with excellent food, this hotel is ideally located for anyone looking beyond big cities of Andalusia. Not far from El Caminito Del Rey and Ronda, but Antequera itself is beautifully situated within mountains with huge rocks - don't miss visiting El Torcal de Antequera by car or on foot - a long uphill walk from the city mind you. Either way, awesome views. Room was small but clean and adequate for the little we stayed there.

A small fridge, mineral water and a capsule style coffee maker could've added to the value.

This is a fantastic small town hotel! Everything was perfect, sparkling clean, friendly staff, and literally right in the middle of town. I guess the only thing to be improved was the breakfast. While the coffee was great (and delivered by an attentive staff member) the cold cuts weren’t a very creative breakfast and there wasn’t s a lot else offered, nothing hot (unless we heated it in the toaster). But overall, and for the price… you can’t beat this wonderful hotel!

Our double room was spacious and clean. We had a very comfortable double bed, and the bathroom and shower were excellent. Great view too. And although the pool may be small, it's on a lovely terrace and it's a nice place to relax and get some sun.

Our air conditioner could barely get the room below 28 or 29 degrees, and so we struggled to sleep. The staff worked hard to try to fix it, but eventually they had to move us to another room with an AC unit that worked properly.
