The room was great. We had a junior suite and it was great to have 2 rooms. We were on the 7th floor and we couldn't hear any traffic or noise from outside. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is fantastic. Also the breakfast is great. The location is perfect. Right next to the metro so you can get around easily. Also watching around La Ramblas area was perfect.

The room has some cosmetic damages, like scratches to the floorboard.

The Place is Grand with amazing history. Staff were amazingly helpful, Buffet breakfast was royal and restaurant super clean and large. Price of equivalent hotel in the area was double of this hotel.. Highly recommend this Palace hotel.

The Grand stair ways and the large Jr suite that we booked and the updated bathrooms and shower, not to mention amazingly helpful staff.

An amazing hotel I’ll start with the dear hotel employees that made our stay heavenly, so kind always up for a good advise and really gave us feeling like we know each other for long time. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the best location in the city between all the shopping stores you can imagine. Close to all main places to see and 5 min walk from the bus to airport. This is the only hotel I’m going back to in Barcelona

Although the Avenita Palace is a remarkably historical hotel, it remains one of the best locations in Barcelona and is managed very well. We were very pleased with our accommodations and the service was excellent.

The only issue seemed to be the air conditioning/ heating system was either not working or strangely under performing

The staff were wonderful! The hotel is beautiful.

The bed was uncomfortable. Too hard. We stayed in the old part of the hotel. We learned that the new part had very comfortable beds.

The staff, the service, the amenities were all just on point. Our room had literally everything from shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, vanity, nail and shoe kits 😯 we were truly amazed. You just need to bring your toothbrush and paste, pretty much. We were very pleased with our domestic ladies, as our room was always cleaned to perfection and they always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast was always perfect, great variety and healthy options. I have a gluten intolerance and I was given gluten free bread and mini muffins every day, I was very happy! In the afternoon, there was always a trolley with either hot drinks, cakes and cookies (for those without an intolerance to gluten 🤭) The location couldn’t be more perfect. We walked almost everywhere, apart from Park Güell, but there are really good bus connections. We would like to specially commend the reception staff, that were super attentive from the very beginning. When we arrived, check in was not yet available, so our luggage was kept safe until the room was ready and we were able to go explore Barcelona right away. When we checked in, the reception staff promptly offered to take our bags up to the room. We also celebrated a birthday in Barcelona and we wanted to eat the best paella in town. We asked reception and they were able to tell us where to go and made reservations for us. On our last day we checked out at midday but were still allowed to use the pool and terrace until we made our way to the airport in the evening. All these things gave us a sense of comfort and confidence that we were being perfectly catered and looked after by lovely kind people who know the area and how to treat you right!

Fantastic location - very easy to get to from the bus stop. Lovely room as described (we had a junior suite). Reception staff all very helpful. Small fridge in room very effective (nice and cold). Plenty of towels and bath robes. Comfortable bed. Can't vouch for the pillows as we took our own, but they did not appear to be particularly supportive. Rituals complimentary shampoo / shower gels regularly topped up.

The soft furnishings were all stained which was very off-putting (room 511). The complimentary bottles of water were too small (only 250mls) in 40 degree heat!! View from roof not great....very small pool and not many places to sit. Not very relaxing.

This hotel's exceptional aesthetic appeal and rich history are noteworthy. Its prime location and rooftop pool provide breathtaking views. However, inclement weather during our stay somewhat limited our enjoyment of the amenities; the breakfast buffet was exceptional, and the overall luxury was stunning. The customer service was outstanding, and I would recommend a return visit.

Upon arrival, we observed that the hotel was undergoing renovations. Our initially assigned room in December 2024 was dated and lacked modern amenities; however, the staff courteously facilitated a transfer to a more contemporary room on the ninth floor. While we appreciated this accommodation, the hotel's age should be considered in the context of its established reputation, as it remains an aesthetically impressive property. Room quality is reflective of this age. Nevertheless, the ongoing maintenance efforts to preserve this beautiful property are commendable.
