lovely little boutique hotel in Poble Sec, at the foot of mount Montjuic. Location is perfect. You can just cross the street and start walking up the stairs to the beautiful park above. And going to the center is just 15 minutes walking (To Placa Reial) or 8 minutes to the nearest metro (Paralel) from where you can go anywhere basically. The hotel has a pleasant and personal vibe. Excellent fresh & healthy breakfast & bakery inside. Our room (2nd floor overlooking Montjuic/street) was large, comfortable, nicely decorated and quiet. The bed large and comfortable. The 'garden' & swimming pool area are inviting to lounge and very 'Instagrammable'. The pool itself is small. More picturesque than practical so only for some relaxing, not really for swimming but that didn't bother us, as it was obvious from the pictures. The neighbourhood in general is quiet, close to the center and far enough from the mass tourism vibe of La Rambla. Some nice little bars, restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

food was absolutely delicious, we had vegan buffet full of flavours and very nice options, coffee was also great. the location is very nice, close to the metro station, not in the strict center but easily available and in the neighbourhood there are many interesting places to see and eat in. The room was perfect - it had an amazing view and a staircase / balcony; also very decent size for 2 people, it was very clean, I personally liked a lot the soap / shampoo / shower gel provided. The hotel is small, but very well designed, it has beautiful eating area. Also the hotel provides very nice daily recommendations for area / food / interesting places.

for a week long stay there was maybe no need to change sheets and towels daily, for environmental reasons, although it was nice to have it clean every day. Hair dryer was also producing a lot of heat, it was rather too warm in general - not for a complain, but just to point out. As for the food, there is a restaurant at the hotel which sounds great, but unfortunately it has mainly meat options, almost nothing vegetarian, not too mention vegan.

The decor and vibe of the entire hotel was wonderful. We loved the courtyard in the lobby and the honesty bar was a nice touch. We also very much appreciated the daily recommendations and guide given upon check in. It was super useful for getting a sense of the immediate area.

Boutique style, nicely designed surroundings. Room small but it didn’t matter was very comfortable. Staff were excellent and the lady on reception probably gave the best welcome of any stay and we have been a few places. Breakfast was unusual and excellent. Julia recommended a local tapas bar - family run - excellent!

Friendly quirky small hotel. Great room and location. Plenty of tips and options for eating and walking nearby. Pool was little but great. Not heated.

Hotel Brummel is a quirky hotel in a fantastic location. It's very much a boutique hotel, with it's gift shop and "Honesty Bar" (where you sign out snacks if you want--to be charged to your room). The pool is teeny tiny but looks like it'd be inviting during the warmer season; the roof top terraces are surprisingly expansive. Just be prepared to be on display to neighboring apartments! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The location is excellent: close enough to easily walk to La Rambla and the harbor, but tucked up in a quiet neighborhood next to the Parc de la Primavera and the vast network of parks around Montjuif.

I was bummed there was no yoga class on Saturday evening.

What I liked most was how the staff cares not only about the guests’ stay at the hotel, but also about their comfort in general. We visited Barcelona for Christmas and were initially worried about where we would be able to have lunch. The hotel sent detailed recommendations in advance for each day from December 24 to 26, where we can book a table. All restaurants were specifically chosen and we received great benefit and pleasure from following these recommendations. We also received a special map created by the hotel with attractions the hotel recommends visiting - we found it very useful. We also liked the concept of the hotel - everything is very democratic, without excessive pomp. It seems to me that this is very consistent with the spirit of our time.

The sauna booking system could be better optimized

The included breakfast offerings were totally worth it. We never left hungry and it was so good. The staff were so kind and helpful. There are so many great restaurants and bars within 10 mins walk. Like seriously some of the best food.

Honestly there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like. It really is a gem. It’s a boutique hotel so don’t expect it to be a Ritz Carlton. But if you like being treated like family and feel safe in a great neighborhood this is the place for you.

Generelly very moden, clean and well located. Nice cafe situed within the building.

Extremely loud from various sources in the building after around 8 AM (people walking up and down the stairs outside, cleaning personnel knocking on doors, doors slamming?!…). Really not possible to sleep a bit longer after a late night. This was rather disastrous and I wouldn’t want to stay there during high season as it would not be bearable. Also, half of this could be avoided by adding features to the doors to make them close softly for example.

The facilities, staff, and the ease of all processes was exceptional. The staff are the best I've ever had staying at a hotel. The care, the attention and the validation they gave me and my girlfriend after unfortunately fighting off two muggers on our way to a concert was nothing short of incredible human compassion. I genuinely couldn't thank the staff anymore for being so accommodating.

I genuinely don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel or it's services.
