this was my 2nd trip to this hotel Last one was Sep 2018. I sought this hotel out even though it is not the most centrally located- basis my previous experience. It is not too much out of the center of the city- a cab ride gets you there in 10 minutes. We walked it most of the time- and with the nice weather it was lovely. In terms of the hotel- it is near perfect. The rooms are big, the washroom also large (open style fyi). The shower is great. 2 washbasins, a large cupboard and most importantly space to open up 2 large suitcases. Room was clean, the housekeeping was accommodating and overall hotel was good. The only one gripe I have is the lack of enough plug points in the room or in the hotel in general. I traveled with my daughter- she from London and I from Dubai. I was working remotely from the hotel for 3 days. And I worked off the large table on the ground floor behind the reception- though the area was quiet there were no plug points which could be used- so I had to keep on going back to the room or to near by restaurants (outside the hotel). There were no plug points in the restaurants also-1MPAR for example. Visited 1MPAR the restaurant in the hotel- but only for drinks. The wine was great. Also visited the coffee shop Philosofia- decent coffee. Surprisingly if you sit outside- you don't get wi-fi (or a plug point). Location Next to University of Barcelona & FC Barcelona stadium. Great place for a run which I did. Also next to one of the larger Cortes Ingles - 5 min walk. Because it is in the UB area - lots of coffee shops. I recommend Cups & Coffee and Santagloria. We walked from the hotel most days - to Sagrada Familia, to Las Ramblas- basically everywhere. Long walks- but then it was good fun- saw a lot of the city. Also next to a great mall L'illa. Also recommend Aspic restaurant. Service Outstanding. Reuben and Issac were exceptional. So was the person at the door on the last day who helped find my charging cable- forget his name

The room was awesome, the shower is amazing and the pillows were very comfortable. The hotel was beautiful as well. we enjoyed the breakfast in the pretty cafe every morning. also the staff is really nice.

the pool was busier than expected, and people were putting their towels on the chairs even if they weren’t at the pool so we couldn’t get one. we also couldn’t adjust the volume of the tv, which was a bit annoying when one of us was trying to sleep as it was pretty loud, but we still enjoyed our stay a lot.

1. staff are super accommodating and friendly 2. Location is convenient it’s very easy to get to the city center via metro or bus 3. The room is spacious and clean. also quiet despite being close to the main road 4. there are many convenience stores nearby the hotel so it’s easy to grab some food and drinks

1. The crisps and chocolate are not complimentary. There isn’t any notice in the room that we will be charged for using these products 2. Wish there could be a fridge in the room

Bed and pillows extremely, probably the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. Room and smart lighting was nice. Finishes are not the best I've seen. Shower is very big with great pressure, although some might not like the lack of privacy. Bar downstairs is very nice, albeit expensive drinks.. Overall it was a nice stay, but more on the expensive side.

Room was a bit small, window behind bed and was dirty from outside so not much of a view. Didn't like the idea that you had to pay extra (I think 40 euros) to use the spa as guests in a 5 star hotel. That's really unacceptable especially for the price they are charging per night.

New, modern and lavish. Enjoyed staying here with all the amazing facilities the hotel has to offer. Cafe Philosophia is also great and the overall interior and the layout of the room was amazing with great amenities. The check in staff were very helpful.

On the day of checkout, while me and my friend were sleeping, room cleaning came in at 9am and once again at 10am. Extremely unprofessional from the staff as we had specifically even asked for a late check out because we were out till 5am the night before. Once was still excusable, but when I was woken up by it twice, it was extremely annoying especially because we didn’t even have a sign on the door, and I don’t know any hotel that comes to clean the room at 9am on the day of check out. The staff didn’t even ask to come in, they just knocked and entered, both times.

Excellent location. Nice to be out of the main part of the Ramblas which is where we normally stay. Close to the metro station Maria Christina plus lots of buses and trams. The hotel is really beautiful classy and high-end. As a coeliac, it was a pleasant surprise for the hotel to offer a very nice totally gluten-free cafe, offering fresh pastries, lunch, and light dinner. Worth a visit even if not staying at the hotel.

Not a big deal really but had to wait far too long for a taxi to the airport (20 minutes) and we were told not to wait outside as it was not allowed. Not sure why.

We are very satisfied with our stay in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room was very spacious and clean, modernly furnished. The large shower cabin, bed and pillows are some of the most comfortable we've slept in. You also get a big plus for the Nespresso machine in the room. The pool is also very nice, the food at the pool bar is very tasty. The location of the hotel itself is excellent, the bus and metro stations are very close. All in all, we are very satisfied, and in the end, I would single out 2 things that had a particularly positive effect on us: fantastic rooms with phenomenal hygiene and the friendliness of the staff.

For the capacity of the hotel, I think that the pool is small, because it is very difficult to find a free place during the day. Also, the prices for the mini bar are too expensive in my opinion. It is clear that the mini bar is always more expensive than anywhere else to buy something, but 7eur for a bottle of water? I think it's a bit over the top.

it’s perfect location , very close to metro stops/tram stops. perfect to jump on a metro/tram to go on your day-day actives.very close to camp nou, 5 min walk. rooms are sublime, staff are so welcoming/helpful. as soon as you walk in it is a fantastic atmosphere and just looks on a another level. I can’t recommend enough for people to try this hotel. spa in outstanding, everything is so clean/bathrooms are amazing/ rooms are clean and great size. I travel to Barcelona very often will not use any other hotel. weather you go for a night or 9 days this hotel is the best choice.

nothing really , it’s pure perfection . the pillow in the bedroom was to soft (not my preference), spoke to the employe on the desk and a new pillow was in the room within hours. to other people they like it , but goes to show how helpful the hotel is towards anybody.

The hotel's location is very convenient. It is not in the Gothic Quarter so very quiet throughout the day, but it has fantastic transport links which will take you to anywhere within 30 mins, by bus or by metro. The bedding is super comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with Natura Bisse toiletries that smells amazing. The restaurant serves a good range of food. I highly recommend the asparagus and chicken rice, it's so delicious. The pool is a bit on the smaller side but very relaxing. Not to mention all staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Barcelona for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely Hotel , clean excellent rooms , comfy beds and really good shower in the bathroom , staff always available and helpful . Nice bar and good cocktails.

Breakfast seemed a little expensive at almost 35 Euros per head , so we decided to go to the bakers only 5 minutes away , I was aso a little dissapointed when I phoned down to reception at 10 am to book the spa for later that day in the afternoon, I was told that they could not take my reservation nor could they tell me if there was any availability later that day , only that I would need to phone back after 2.15 pm. It was not clear to me when I booked the hotel that the Spa could only be reserved directly during their opening hours nor that 24 Hours notice was normally required ???? So we did not get to use the Spa which was something we wanted to do during our stay.
