I Traveled as Family of 4 (Including 1 Infant) and booked two standard rooms next to each other. - The Hotel staff are amazing, they do the above and beyond to ensure you are happy in your stay. - Even though all the staff worked really hard to ensure our stay to be perfect. I'd like two mention two staff by name for their outstanding service: "JOSEPH ANTON" & "RAFAL NADAL". - Location of the Hotel is perfect! everything is around us! walking distance to La Rambla. - Cafes, Restaurants, Shops, Pharmacies, Stations, Taxis are all within Walking Distance. - Hotel is SAFE, and in a SAFE area, filled with vibrant nice shops and cafes all around. I would definitely book this hotel again when I visit Barcelona again

The staff and the location make Olivia Balmes stand out. First, the whole team was fantastic, especially the reception crew, who always welcomed us with a smile and helped with anything we needed. We had a bit of a health emergency during our stay as well (nothing serious), and they did their best to ensure we were ok and had everything we needed. But it was not just the reception that made us feel at home. During our stay, anyone we met from the hotel staff was friendly and attentive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Olivia Balmes's location is another highlight. Nestled in the heart of the city, it offers easy access to many of Barcelona's must-see attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. We enjoyed the whole neighborhood, which felt clean and safe, and we wished to stay longer to explore everything it offered. Overall, we would not hesitate to return to Olivia Balmes on our next trip to Barcelona. We already miss the rooftop pool!

Like any hotel we stayed in Spain (or at least it feels like it), the walls seem made out of paper because you hear anything and anyone in the next room or passing the hallway, especially if it is a young tourist who doesn't hesitate to get loud when getting in and out of their room. This is obviously not the hotel's fault, but I wanted to mention this in case anyone is super-sensitive to noise. Our room was situated at the crossroad of two hallways, and we could hear anyone from our floor leaving/coming all the time. We didn't mind, but after a while, it can get a bit annoying.

Travelling solo to Barcelona, I spent a lot of time researching hotels and I am so glad that I picked Olivia Balmes Hotel. The staff were so friendly and attentive, they gave me a room upgrade free of charge. Although my room was facing out onto the street, it was so quiet! It was also so spacious and clean. My flight home wasn't until 11:30pm so I was able to get a late check out until 2pm (again free of charge!) and I had full use of the facilities all day which was so useful. I will be recommending Olivia Balmes Hotel to my family and friends.

Suite was a good size. Large, comfortable bed. Free water provided in the room daily. Cava and chocolates in the room were a lovely surprise. Rooftop pool/ bar was great, it was lovely to relax here after a day’s sightseeing. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Location excellent - lots of nice restaurant options nearby. Quiet location for sleeping. Well located for sightseeing : either walkable or short metro ride .

Pillows were a bit too thin. More hooks in the bathroom for hanging up towels and robes.

The staff at the hotel are really lovely - helping you with anything and taking care of small details like giving you a water when you return to the hotel and helping you get a taxi when needed. The location is great if you want to shop and with the cheap price of taxis you can be anywhere in town for less than ten euro. I much prefer this location to the gothic quarter which feels very small and touritsty.

The water in the shower had a mind of it's own some days - it would be warm and then suddenly shoot you with cold !

The TV didn't work, which I'm sure would have been immediately fixed if we mentioned it but it didn't bother us. Hard to fault otherwise

Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable. The pillows were also very stiff and uncomfortable for our taste.

Breakfast was great, swift and smooth elevators, rooftop pool area was wonderful. The shower was incredible. Staff were super nice.

Beds could have been a little softer, also the TV didnt really work.

I recently stayed at Olivia Balmes Hotel in Barcelona and had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The hospitality was outstanding, with thoughtful touches that made our stay enjoyable. The only minor issue was with the breakfast options. As we eat halal and vegetarian, we found the placement of bacon and sausages with eggs and beans a bit inconvenient. However, this did not ruin our stay. Everything else was amazing, including the delicious croissants and pastries. Overall, the Olivia Balmes Hotel offered excellent service and a warm atmosphere, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Barcelona.

Room was stunning! So spacious! Comfortable bed. Good location. Easy to get to the metro to get you to where you need to go.
