The location is perfect for exploring the Picos and the hotel is within walking distance of a number of bars and restaurants. It has a swimming pool with seating areas. There is a bar with comfortable seating. The room we had was spacious and comfortable. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful . Although they do speak English I was grateful they allowed me to practise speaking Spanish!

There was nothing we didn’t like and though air con would have been pleasant we managed to keep the room reasonably cool.

The breakfast was not included but we ate next door at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel and for 5 euros per person we got 2 eggs, ham, bread with butter and jams, and coffee….a superb value

The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. It overlooked the river. The location was perfect as in the centre of the village/town. Breakfast was very good. Staff were really friendly.

The restaurant for evening dinner was not open, it had very good reviews according to Trip Advisor and going on the breakfast standards, I was looking forward to trying it. However. there are lots of eateries in the town. This is not a grumble. Just it would have been nice to try.

The location was ideal for exploring the Picos National Park (among others close to bus stop to Poncebos). Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was perfect, and was possible to eat breakfast in the garden. Lots of restaurants nearby. Really pleasant stay, we recommend it.

Unfortunately, they cut the grass with a noisy machine in the afternoon and then there was grass in the pool, so we couldn't swim. Which would be nice after trek. This is a idea for improvement - mow in the morning with a normal mower.

It is a beautiful hotel situated in a lovely village, which is a perfect base from which to go hiking in the Picos mountains. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and the only noise is that of the river. The pool is a real bonus, especially after a day’s hiking. The lounge area is my favourite part of the hotel, a perfect place to have a drink before going out for dinner in one of the numerous restaurants in the town. There is also parking; a little car park right at the hotel and also an overflow car park ( field) just round the corner.

Comfortable, clean room with a nice view. Nice terrace for having a drink from the bar at the end of the day. Helpful, friendly staff.

The breakfast service was desperately understaffed. The only waitress was doing a good job, she just couldn't be everywhere at once. Coffee arrived when we were almost done with our meal (I'd been hoping to sip on it while we waited for our food). Hire more servers!

In June I spent a week in this hotel with my husband on a hill walking trip to the Picos. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Our room was very nice and spacious overlooking the river with great views of the Picos. There is a great pool area which we used on days when we weren’t out and about. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Martha who was so warm and kind and treated us to a nightcap for our wedding anniversary. There is a really nice relaxing lounge area which includes a bar area and also serves coffee. An outdoor area, off this lounge area, is also perfect for chilling and listening to the babbling stream with great views of the Picos.

We had breakfast one morning during our stay and found the food to be of good quality and at a very reasonable price - about €6 each. However, the dining room has a very empty feeling as the breakfast settings were not set until you arrived so the room did feel very uninviting. While the pool is great, the area would benefit from additional sun loungers and some shading.

Clean, cozy and quiet little hotel in the heart of the Picos de Europa. Perfect location for a hiking holiday or just to spend some time in nature. The staff were kind and very helpful giving us information about the area. The room and bathroom were incredibly spacious with beautiful views. Breakfast was simple and healthy with everything needed to fuel up for a day of hiking. The sitting room with the extensive library and wood fire was the perfect place to relax in the cool evenings.

This hotel was perfect for us, so friendly and peaceful and in a central area of the Picos so travelling around was easy. The town is very picturesque, the restaurants good, and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here, we stayed a week.

The restaurant was closed for the year sadly, but plenty of eating places in walking distance meant that this wasn’t a problem. No tea making facilities in the room, but we knew that from the hotel website so we took our own kettle, cups & tea bags.

Easy access directly off the AS114 in the town of Las Arenas. During our stay the motorbikes were parked in the secured hotel parking area. The room was a good size - airy and light. The freshly prepared breakfast was served in the restaurant but the restauarant wasn't open for the rest of the day as far as I know. However there is a great cafe/bar/restaurant literally next door and many more cafes/sidrerias/restaurants can be found in the older part of town. Extremely pleasant staff, all of whom spoke excellent english. About 1hour 15minutes from Santander making it perfect location either heading to or coming from the Brittany Ferry.

Perhaps the coffee at breakfast could have been a little hotter.
