A great location if you’re looking for peace and a safe environment. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a very good magnifying mirror. Lovely outside spaces to sit and relax. Very easy free parking right outside the hotel. The little village is beautiful and has a couple of restaurants. A short car ride to the seaside resort of Laredo. Fabulous walks from the hotel to some beautiful deserted beaches.

The suite had a well equipped kitchen (which is why we booked it) but the details mention a coffee machine. This isn’t the case. It is actually a very small cafetière, enough for only one cup of coffee. A minor point but it worth mentioning for coffee lovers!

I’m walking the El Camino del Norte. Like WOW! The room was incredible in a refurbished old estate house. Just felt like, I shouldn’t be staying in a place like this when I am a pilgrim! Loved the shower, it was a walk-in with one of those overhead shower heads. Sure felt good after a day of walking. There were beer, wine, and cocktails available at the Honest Bar. Not far up the street was a fit for purpose restaurant and the incredible Iglesia de Maria de la Asuncion! Did I mention there was in-room instant coffee and tea?

Breakfast started at 9am, but I hit the road at daybreak (7:30). That’s OK, the routine of a peregrino.

I really liked the stay in this place, the town is wonderful and very quiet. The inn is a very charming place, everything is very clean, the decoration is fabulous and the staff is very nice. It is very close to Laredo, about 10 minutes or less by car.

The only bad thing we could see was a little dirt under the toilet lid. Also that despite the fact that they have a kitchen (a pleasant surprise for us) is that they have an induction hob but they did not have a frying pan to be able to use it. Otherwise, everything is great. The fridge, utensils, toaster, etc...

A very good stay in a very special place. This is a lovely and historic property with a unique charm. Everything was clean and in perfect condition, and the room was quite comfortable. The location is right on the Camino, which is terrific, but it’s quite residential so there are just one or two dining options nearby.. the little bar near the church was just fine for a light meal. We especially enjoyed the shared lounge on the first floor, where you can meet other peregrinos and have a chat. Would recommend to others, and would also say that ending the day in Liendo (vs going on to Laredo) worked very well for us on that day and the next.. cheers

Lovely welcome and on the Camino trail for easy access. Breakfast served a bit late for most Camino travellers however. Offering of a breakfast pack would have been lovely. Restaurant recommendations for lunch/dinner was good. Room was clean and huge with tea & coffee making facilities which was appreciated.

An old building, which is beautiful and unique, I could hear people coming and going quite clearly however and a bit creaky. Not really a complaint.

I adored my room (#4), sos much so that I stayed another night! This gorgeous posada is right on the Camino and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. They serve a hearty breakfast for an additional 10 euros and the restaurant they recommend for dinner is fabulous! They have an honor bar in the living g room with a wonderful selection. The bathroom is divine with a strong shower head that feels wonderful after a long day of walking with an 18-in backpack!

Staff were great: all friendly and hard-working; a couple were a bit shy because they did not feel so comfortable speaking in English, but we (with our "pocito" Spanish) had no trouble making ourselves understood. Really helpful with dining suggestions: you should definitely take the 15-20-minute walk to dine at the Ambigu Restaurant -- good choices and very large helpings. We stayed in one of the least expensive rooms in the older building. At first, we were put off by the somewhat stale feel of the ground-floor (what we had requested because of our old age and heavy luggage) room. (Rooms in the older building do not have screens on the windows and there were definitely a few mosquitos). Then, we got used to the room and found it quite comfortable. We asked to see the rooms in the newer building before departure so we could write a fuller review for possible future guests: the newer building has all the same advantages of the beautiful grounds, plentiful quiet spaces to sit and read or chat as the older building. The rooms are terrific there, have screens on the windows, and, in some, their own private terrace. Well worth the extra $30-$50 dollars per night if you have it. We loved the quiet country setting, with easy walks to places to eat.

No screens on windows in the old building - easily remedied by asking for a room in the newer building.

What a wonderful hotel in a very historic building. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were lucky as there were few guests while we were staying there. We would definitely stay here again.

We were able to keep bikes there, but had to keep them outside (under a small covered porch). There is also not much in the town as it feels like a suburb rather than a standalone town. As it's an old building, you can hear people moving around.

This was a nice stay for my wife and I. We wanted to connect with the local culture and Liendo is perfect place for that. The hotel was nice and quaint, with very friendly staff. The facilities are old but nicely kept. We opened our “roof” window and heard lots of birds as we woke up in the morning. We walked around at night in the tranquil town, after having tapas at the local restaurant with very nice people from town.

The only thing missing was a little more with the food. Although there were some things offered, there was a limited amount of choices.

Absolutely gorgeous Posada on the Camino. Wasn’t able to walk today due to heavy rain and an injured knee. It was wonderful to be able to check in early and spend some extra time relaxing here. The people were so warm and helpful - especially Mara who spoke perfect English too. One of those places you’d really dream of returning to, even if you weren’t walking. I didn’t have breakfast but it looked excellent.
